2018 SEC Tournament Predictions

Here are my predictions for the 2018 SEC tournament. The tournament will be held at the Scottrade Center in Saint Louis, Missouri.

First Round
3/7- (13) Vanderbilt (12-19; 6-12) vs (12) Georgia (16-14; 7-11)- 7:00, SECN
Prediction: Georgia

3/7- (14) Ole Miss (12-19; 5-13) vs (11) South Carolina (16-15; 7-11)- 9:30, SECN
Prediction: South Carolina

Second Round
3/8- (9) Alabama (17-14; 8-10) vs (8) Texas A&M (20-11; 9-9)- 1:00, SECN: The Crimson Tide need to win a few games in the tournament to comfortably be in the field and I like Colin Sexton to lead the way for the Tide over an Aggies team that should be in regardless of what they do in this tournament.
Prediction: Alabama

3/8- (12) Georgia vs (5) Missouri (20-11; 10-8)- 3:30, SECN: Michael Porter Jr is back and he'll help the Tigers advance.
Prediction: Missouri

3/8- (10) LSU (17-13; 8-10) vs (7) Mississippi State (21-10; 9-9)- 7:00, SECN: The Bulldogs need a few wins in this tournament to even reach the field, but I like them here over the Tigers.
Prediction: Mississippi State

3/8- (11) South Carolina vs (6) Arkansas (21-10; 10-8)- 9:30, SECN: The Gamecocks have picked off some good teams this season, but the Razorbacks are very solid and I like them in this matchup.
Prediction: Arkansas

Quarterfinals
3/9- (9) Alabama vs (1) Auburn (25-6; 13-3)- 1:00, ESPN: The Tiegrs crushed the Tide a few weeks ago on their home court and they're playing for a possible two or three seed depending on how things break. The Tide have the best player on the court in Sexton and I like them to pull off the upset here to improve their at-large hopes.
Prediction: Alabama

3/9- (5) Missouri vs (4) Kentucky (21-10; 10-8)- 3:30, ESPN: This is an excellent matchup for an SEC quarterfinal. Porter will be great, but John Calipari's teams usually play their best in March so give me the Wildcats in a close one.
Prediction: Kentucky

3/9- (7) Mississippi State vs (2) Tennessee (23-7; 13-5)- 7:00, SECN: The Bulldogs chances of reaching the Big Dance come to an end here against Grant Williams and the Volunteers.
Prediction: Tennessee

3/9- (6) Arkansas vs (3) Florida (20-11; 11-7)- 9:30, SECN: A sneaky good game here between two quality teams. Give me the Gators in a close one although both teams are heading to the dance regardless of what happens in this tournament.
Prediction: Florida

Semifinals
3/9- (9) Alabama vs (4) Kentucky- 1:00, ESPN: This would be a fun matchup with Sexton going up against Kevin Knox and the Wildcats. In a close one, give me Knox and the Wildcats as the Tide will await their fate on Selection Sunday.
Prediction: Kentucky

3/9- (3) Florida vs (2) Tennessee- 3:30, ESPN: An experienced Gator team versus a surprising Vols team should be fun and interesting. Give me the Gators in a close one.
Prediction: Florida

Championship
3/10- (4) Kentucky vs (3) Florida- 1:00, ESPN: Here we have a fun conference title game between two teams that are just built for March. Give me the Wildcats in a super close one as the Gators would settle for an at-large bid.
