Here is the first edition of my 2025 NFL Mock Draft.
1. Tennessee Titans- Cam Ward, Quarterback, Miami: It seems like a fate of complete that the Titans will take Ward first considering not addressing the position in free agency. The need at quarterback is clear with Will Levis not being the answer and Ward can bring stability and competence at the position.
2. Cleveland Browns- Travis Hunter, Cornerback/Wide Receiver, Colorado: The Browns pass on the opportunity to select a quarterback and go with the drafts best player in Hunter. Whether it's at wide receiver or cornerback, Hunter will flash his advanced running routes and patience in pass coverage.
3. New York Giants- Armand Membou, Offensive Tackle, Missouri: The Giants go with a need over best player available here with Membou, who would be a good bookend to Andrew Thomas. He has great body control that allows him to mirror pass rushers and shows great athletic traits that translate to the field.
4. New England Patriots- Abdul Carter, Edge, Penn State: The Patriots get arguably the second best player in the draft to fall to them here at four in Carter. He has great athleticism and super explosive which will make the Patriots defense a strength along with new additions Milton Williams and Harold Landry III.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars- Ashton Jeanty, Running Back, Boise State: The Jaguars here go with the win now pick with Jeanty, trying to revitalize their offense around Trevor Lawrence. He has the ability to find the open gaps and levitates his game in pressure moments.
6. Las Vegas Raiders- Tetaiora McMillan, Wide Receiver, Arizona: The Raiders have a lot of needs and McMillan here makes sense to give Geno Smith a reliable weapon at receiver. He has elite ball tracking ability and displays advanced running routes on the field.
7. New York Jets- Shedur Sanders, Quarterback, Colorado: The Jets need a long term answer at quarterback and Justin Fields has not shown the capability to be a long term answer. Sanders is somebody that could either thrive or crumble in New York, but he does have the poise and potential to do it.
8. Carolina Panthers- Mykel Williams, Edge, Georgia: The Panthers defense was one of the worst in the league a year ago, so it makes sense for them to go pass rush here. He has great length, strength, and power and shows good adjustments along the way.
9. New Orleans Saints- Mason Graham, Defensive Line, Michigan: If Sanders was still on the board, this would have been a possibility, but instead they go address their defensive line. Graham is a versatile player that can line up anywhere and brings a nasty demeanor to the trenches.
10. Chicago Bears- Shemar Stewart, Defensive Line/Edge, Texas A&M: A lot of mocks are giving the bears more offensive talent around Caleb Williams, but they do need to address more areas on defense. Stewart is a versatile weapon that can wreck havoc and sets a violent rush in the run game.
11. San Francisco 49ers- Will Campbell, Offensive Tackle, LSU: The 49ers need a lot of young blood at important positions and Campbell here is a solid pick. He is solid in pass protection and has exceptional football IQ and would be a solid longterm replacement for Trent Williams down the road.
12. Dallas Cowboys- Matthew Golden, Wide Receiver, Texas: The Cowboys go with the typical Cowboys head turning pick with going with Golden here to pair with CeeDee Lamb. He is an explosive playmaker after the catch and is a good special teams player too.
13. Miami Dolphins- Josh Conerly Jr., Offensive Tackle, Oregon: The Dolphins have a lot of needs on their roster and offensive line is one of the major needs with Terron Armstead retiring. Conerly Jr. is an elite pass protector that shows exceptional consistency in protection and is a clean player.
14. Indianapolis Colts- Tyler Warren, Tight End, Penn State: The Colts need more offensive weapons (especially in the passing game) around Anthony Richardson and Warren here makes sense. He is a dynamic weapon after the catch and shows reliable hands in traffic.
15. Atlanta Falcons- Jalon Walker, Linebacker/Edge, Georgia: The Falcons absolutely should draft defense here in the first round considering they need young blood on that side of the ball. Walker is a versatile player from a scheme standpoint with experience from both positions.
16. Arizona Cardinals- Derrick Harmon, Defensive Line, Oregon: The Cardinals need help on their pass rush and Harmon here would be a fine choice. He is a power player that brings elite upper body strength and core stability and good at reading blocking schemes and making adjustments on the fly.
17. Cincinnati Bengals- Mike Green, Edge, Marshall: The Bengals defense was among the worst in football last season and here they go with pass rush with Green. He is a fast player and constantly beats tackles and has relentless motor and closing burst.
18. Seattle Seahawks- Kelvin Banks Jr., Offensive Tackle/Interior Offensive Line, Texas: The Seahawks need help on their offensive line to protect Sam Darnold and Banks Jr. is a decent pick. He is a masterful technician in combination blocks and is a fluid athlete in space with impressive burst.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Jihaad Campbell, Inside Linebacker, Alabama: This pick makes a lot of sense for the Bucs with LaVonte David's longterm future with the team uncertain. Campbell has an explosive first jump off the tape and brings serious pop as a tackler with efficiency.
20. Denver Broncos- Colstand Loveland, Tight End, Michigan: The Broncos should be looking to add more offensive weapons for Bo Nix and Loveland makes sense here despite signing Evan Engram in free agency. Despite coming off an injury, he has burst, speed, and separation skill.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers- Jaxson Dart, Quarterback, Ole Miss: Whether they sign Aaron Rodgers or not, that should not stop the Steelers from drafting a quarterback. Dart has exceptional touch and timing on immediate routes and brings good speed to designed runs and scramble situations.
22. Los Angeles Chargers- Kenneth Grant, Defensive Line, Michigan: Here we go again with Jim Harbaugh drafting Michigan players, but this fit makes a lot of sense. Grant is a power player that can push the pocket and has an impressive quick first step.
23. Green Bay Packers- Will Johnson, Cornerback, Michigan: The Packers are a wild card in this first round and Johnson here makes sense. His stock dropped due to missing time with an injury, but has elite football IQ that shows up in zone coverage and nasty competitive streak in press coverage.
24. Minnesota Vikings- Malaki Starks, Safety, Georgia: The Vikings are a team people think could trade back, but they stay put and go with a need pick. Starks has a rare combination of track speed and violent physicality shows up in his tackling and shows advanced hand usage against blockers in the box.
25. Houston Texans- Tyler Booker, Interior Offensive Line, Alabama: The Texans revamped their offensive line this offseason, but there's still work to be done. Booker is a power player who can step in and become an immediate stater, but is not the best athlete.
26. Los Angeles Rams- Maxwell Hairston, Cornerback, Kentucky: The Rams have several needs with a lot of their veterans retiring or being released. Hairston possesses an elite feel for zone coverage and demonstrates exceptional closing burst to the football.
27. Baltimore Ravens- Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College: The Ravens should go with the best player available considering they are among the Super Bowl contenders. Ezeiruaku is a masterful technician who strings together pass rush moves with the timing and grace of a veteran.
28. Detroit Lions- Donovan Jackson, Interior Offensive Line, Ohio State: Jackson makes sense here with Kevin Zeitler leaving in free agency. He has the size, athleticism, and power to be a needle mover on anyones offensive line and his best position is guard.
29. Washington Commanders- James Pearce Jr., Edge, Tennessee: A lot of people are mocking the Commanders to go offense here, but they need more help defensively. Pearce is a force to be reckoned with and has high football IQ with his ability to diagnose screen plays.
30. Buffalo Bills- Tyleik Williams, Defensive Tackle, Ohio State: This pick would make sense for the Bills since DaQuan Jones is getting older. Williams strength and ability to eat blocks (while also being an easy mover) is a perfect fit in the short and long term next to the gap-shooting Ed Oliver.
31. Kansas City Chiefs- Josh Simmons, Offensive Tackle, Ohio State: The Chiefs need offensive line help badly and here they get arguably the best tackle in the class, although coming off an injury. Simmons is versatile and has exceptional lateral mobility.
32. Philadelphia Eagles- Shavon Revel Jr., Cornerback, East Carolina: The Eagles have lost a few starters that were apart of their championship roster, but there are also areas they can improve on. Revel Jr. could fit right in next to Quinyon Mitchell with his length and raw athleticism and his elite recovery speed.
