2015 College Football Week 8 Picks

Here are my picks for week eight of the 2015 College Football season.

Tuesday, October 20th
Louisiana-Lafayette (2-3; 1-0) at Arkansas State (3-3; 2-0)- 8:00, ESPN2
Pick: Arkansas State

Thursday, October 22nd
(22) Temple (6-0; 3-0) at East Carolina (4-3; 2-1)- 7:00, ESPN2: This is a pretty big game in the American. The Owls are still unbeaten and they are an underdog on the road against an underrated Pirates team. I do believe the Owls are for real and I expect that to be the case here as they will remain unbeaten and knock off the Pirates in a close one.

Georgia Southern (5-1; 3-0) at Appalachian State (5-1; 2-0)- 7:30, ESPNU: This is a pretty big game as well and it will go a long way deciding who wins the Sun Belt. Both teams are pretty solid but I like the Mountaineers here at home.

(20) California (5-1; 2-1) at UCLA (4-2; 1-2)- 9:00, ESPN: This is a huge game in the Pac-12. This should be a fun quarterback duel between Jared Goff and Josh Rosen. The Bruins are home and that should prevail them to a win to knock the Bears out of the Top 25.

Friday, October 23rd
(18) Memphis (6-0; 2-0) at Tulsa (3-3; 0-2)- 8:00, ESPN: There may be a little letdown after the biggest win in program history for the Tigers, but it won't prevent them from remaining unbeaten.

Utah State (4-2; 3-0) at San Diego State (4-3; 3-0)- 10:30, ESPN2

Saturday, October 24th
(6) Clemson (6-0; 3-0) at Miami (FL) (4-2; 1-1)- 12:00, ABC: This has upset potential but I like the Tigers to keep it up.

Auburn (4-2; 1-2) at Arkansas (2-4; 1-1)- 12:00, SECN: This is a tough call but I like the Razor Backs to pull off the upset at home.

Northwestern (5-2; 1-2) at Nebraska (3-4; 1-2)- 12:00, ESPN2: The Wildcats have lost back to back games and are no longer ranked. The Huskers have been inconsistent all season and they shouldn't be favored in this game. The Cats bounce back here after back to back subpar outings.

Penn State (5-2; 2-1) vs Maryland (2-4; 0-2)- 3:30, ESPN: This game will be played at MT Bank Stadium in Baltimore. The Lions are the better team here and they'll rebound from their loss from last week against the Buckeyes.

(23) Duke (5-1; 2-0) at Virginia Tech (3-4; 1-2)- 3:30, ESPNU: The Hokies will keep it close, but it won't be enough to pull off the upset.

(15) Texas A&M (5-1; 2-1) at (24) Ole Miss (5-2; 2-1) 7:00, ESPN: This is arguably the biggest game of the weekend. Both teams are coming off tough losses, but home field advantage will propel the Rebels to a big win.

Western Kentucky (6-1; 4-0) at (5) LSU (6-0; 4-0)- 7:00, ESPNU: This will be a closer game than the experts think, but the Tigers will still come away with a win here.

New Mexico (4-3; 2-1) at San Jose State (3-4; 2-2)- 7:00, Root Sports

(3) Utah (6-0; 3-0) at USC (3-3; 1-2)- 7:30, FOX: This is a very interesting game in the Pac-12. The Utes had to pull away late to knock off the Sun Devils and the Trojans put up a fight in South Bend against the Irish. This could go either way, but I like the Trojans to hand the Utes their first loss of the season here.
