2017 College Football Weeks 14&15: Picks

Here are my picks for weeks fourteen and fifteen of the 2017 College Football season.

Friday, December 1st
(12) Stanford (9-3; 7-2) vs (11) USC (10-2; 8-1)- 8:00, ESPN (Santa Clara): This should be a fun Pac-12 title game. There are a ton of stars in this game such as Sam Darnold and Bryce Love. The Trojans won this matchup earlier in the season and if they get a win, they'll likely head to a New Years Six bowl, but if there are crazy upsets that create chaos, the College Football Playoff isn't impossible for this team. Give me the Trojans in a close one here but lets say they head to a New Years Six bowl.
Pick: USC

Saturday, December 2nd
(20) Memphis (10-1; 7-1) at (14) UCF (11-0; 8-0)- 12:00, ABC: This is a tremendous game for the AAC title game. The winner of this game is likely heading to a New Years Six bowl game. Expect a ton of points in this game and I like the Knights on their home field to remain unbeaten and reach a New Years Six bowl.
Pick: UCF

Akron (7-5; 6-2) vs Toledo (10-2; 7-1)- 12:00, ESPN (Detroit): This should be a fun MAC title game with a ton of points. The Rockets are the better team here so they'll take this one, although the Zips will be competitive throughout.
Pick: Toledo

North Texas (9-3; 7-1) at FAU (9-3; 8-0)- 12:00, ESPN2: This is a sneaky good C-USA title game. The Mean Green have become a better team since getting blown out in Boca Raton a month and a half ago and I believe they'll be competitive with the Owls here, but will fall short.
Pick: FAU

Massachusetts (4-7) at FIU (7-4; 5-3)- 12:00
Pick: FIU

Louisiana-Monroe (4-7; 4-4) at Florida State (5-6; 3-5)- 12:00, ACCN: This could very well be Jimbo Fisher's final game as head coach of the Seminoles and I believe Fisher's team will play hard for him here and become bowl eligible.
Pick: Florida State

(11) TCU (10-2; 7-2) vs (3) Oklahoma (11-1; 8-1)- 12:30, FOX (Arlington): This should be a good Big-12 title game that's finally being brought back for the first time since 2010. The Sooners will almost certainly be in the College Football playoff here with a win and I believe they'll get that win led by Heisman Trophy favorite Baker Mayfield in a close one over a well-coached Horned Frog team.
Pick: Oklahoma

Georgia Southern (2-9; 2-5) at Coastal Carolina (2-9; 1-6)- 1:00, ESPN3
Pick: Coastal Carolina

Idaho (3-8; 2-5) at Georgia State (6-4; 5-2)- 2:00, ESPN3
Pick: Georgia State

Louisiana-Lafayette (5-6; 4-3) at Appalachian State (7-4; 6-1)- 2:30, ESPN3
Pick: Appalachian State

(6) Georgia (11-1; 7-1) vs (2) Auburn (10-2; 7-1)- 4:00, CBS (Atlanta): This is arguably the most fascinating game of the weekend and it could also impact whether 1-loss Alabama makes it in or not as well depending in this outcome. That said, I like the Tigers to win this one (sans the injury to Kerryon Johnson) to become the first two loss team to ever make the College Football playoff.
Pick: Auburn

South Alabama (4-7; 3-4) at New Mexico State (5-6; 3-4)- 4:30, ESPN3: The Aggies become bowl eligible here with a win.
Pick: New Mexico State

Troy (9-2; 6-1) at Arkansas State (7-3; 6-1)- 7:30, ESPN2: This is a sneaky good game in the Sun Belt in which you can make a case these are the conferences best two teams. I like the Red Wolves here at home.
Pick: Arkansas State

(25) Fresno State (9-3; 7-1) at Boise State (9-3; 7-1)- 7:45, ESPN: This is a really good MWC title game. These teams played last weekend and the Bulldogs won. I like the Broncos in the rematch on the Smurf Turf.
Pick: Boise State

(7) Miami (11-1; 7-1) vs (1) Clemson (11-1; 7-1)- 8:00, ABC (Charlotte): This is a very good ACC title game we got here. ESPN's College GameDay will be on hand and the winner of this game is likely headed to the College Football Playoff. The Hurricanes, despite some key injuries on the offensive side of the ball will give the Tigers a game as their defense will keep them in it but I like the Tigers to reach the College Football Playoff for the third season in a row.
Pick: Clemson

(8) Ohio State (10-2; 7-1) vs (4) Wisconsin (12-0; 8-0)- 8:00, FOX (Indianapolis): This is another enticing game as well and the winner of this game is likely heading to the College Football playoff as well. But this is a tricky call because I'm taking the Buckeyes here and JT Barrett may not be healthy. Also, if the Buckeyes win, it's not a slam dunk that they'll be in unlike the Badgers if they win.
Pick: Ohio State
