Here are my picks for week ten of the 2018 NFL season.
Thursday, November 8th
Carolina Panthers (6-2) vs Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2-1)- 8:25, FOX/NFLN: The Panthers are coming off a divisional home win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Steelers are coming off a big divisional road win in Baltimore against the Ravens. This is for once a great Thursday night matchup for the nation to see and expect a ton of offense from both sides. Give me Ben Rothlisberger and the Steelers in their home building to win their fifth straight.
Prediction: Pittsburgh 34, Carolina 27.
Sunday, November 11th
Detroit Lions (3-5) at Chicago Bears (5-3)- 1:00, FOX: The Lions are coming off a divisional road loss in Minneapolis against the Vikings. The Bears are coming off a dominant road win in Orchard Park against the Bills. These two teams are heading in opposite directions and I like the Bears in this one to keep themselves in first place.
Prediction: Chicago 27, Detroit 16.
New Orleans Saints (7-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (5-3)- 1:00, FOX: The Saints are coming off a big time home win over the previously unbeaten Los Angeles Rams. The Bengals are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they won at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a game winning field goal. This screams "letdown" and "trap" for the Saints. Bengals in an upset special!
Prediction: Cincinnati 37, New Orleans 33.
Atlanta Falcons (4-4) at Cleveland Browns (2-6-1)- 1:00, FOX: The Falcons are coming off a big win in Landover against the Redskins to perhaps save their season. The Browns are coming off a home loss against the Kansas City Chiefs. Trap game for the Falcons? Yes. Do they survive? Yes. The Browns are still bad.
Prediction: Atlanta 33, Cleveland 20.
New England Patriots (6-2) at Tennessee Titans (5-4)- 1:00, CBS: The Patriots are coming off a dominant Sunday night home win over the Green Bay Packers. The Titans are coming off a perhaps season saving road win in Arlington against the Cowboys on Monday Night Football. The Titans defense is pretty good, but they are not stopping Tom Brady from his sixth straight win.
Prediction: New England 35, Tennessee 20.
Jacksonville Jaguars (3-5) at Indianapolis Colts (3-5)- 1:00, CBS: The Jaguars are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they lost in London against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Colts are coming off a bye of their own too and two weeks ago they beat the Raiders in Oakland. Blake Bortles has been awful this season meanwhile Andrew Luck is starting to look like his old self again. Colts win it at home.
Prediction: Indianapolis 36, Jacksonville 24.
Arizona Cardinals (2-6) at Kansas City Chiefs (8-1)- 1:00, FOX: The Cardinals are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they won a divisional home game over the San Francisco 49ers. The Chiefs are coming off a road win in Cleveland against the Browns. This is a huge mismatch and the Chiefs are my lock as they will lay the smack down.
Prediction: Kansas City 45, Arizona 17.
Buffalo Bills (2-7) at New York Jets (3-6)- 1:00, CBS: Here we have perhaps the "poop bowl" of 2018 considering Matt Barkley and Josh McCown are your starting quarterbacks for this game. The Bills are coming off another atrocious home loss against the Chicago Bears. The Jets are coming off a bad divisional road loss in Miami against the Dolphins. I dare nobody to watch this game but anyway, the Jets will win because they are home with the better backup quarterback.
Prediction: NY Jets 17, Buffalo 10.
Washington Redskins (5-3) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-5)- 1:00, FOX: The Redskins are coming off a horrible home loss against the Atlanta Falcons. The Buccaneers are coming off a divisional road loss in Charlotte against the Panthers. The Redskins have a ton of injuries on their offensive line, but I don't trust Fitzmagic or that awful Bucs defense. Redskins bounce back and get the road win.
Prediction: Washington 27, Tampa Bay 20.
Los Angeles Chargers (6-2) at Oakland Raiders (1-7)- 4:05, FOX: The Chargers are coming off a big time road win in Seattle against the Seahawks. The Raiders are coming off a flat out disastrous Thursday night road loss in Santa Clara against the 49ers. Jon Gruden has the worst team in football right now and the Chargers will take advantage.
Prediction: LA Chargers 38, Oakland 23.
Miami Dolphins (5-4) at Green Bay Packers (3-4-1)- 4:25, CBS: The Dolphins are coming off a divisional home win over the New York Jets. The Packers are coming off a disappointing Sunday night road loss in Foxboro against the Patriots. The Packers need this game in the worst way possible and they'll get the job done at home.
Prediction: Green Bay 33, Miami 17.
Seattle Seahawks (4-4) at Los Angeles Rams (8-1)- 4:25, CBS: The Seahawks are coming off a disappointing home loss against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Rams are coming off a tough road loss in New Orleans against the Saints. I won't be shocked if this game is close throughout, but the Rams should win this game comfortably.
Prediction: LA Rams 37, Seattle 27.
Dallas Cowboys (3-5) at Philadelphia Eagles (4-4)- 8:20, NBC: The Cowboys are coming off a bad Monday night home loss against the Tennessee Titans. The Eagles are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. The Eagles are poised for another dominant primetime performance against a division rival and prove why they're still among the good teams.
Prediction: Philadelphia 34, Dallas 17.
Monday November 12th
New York Giants (1-7) at San Francisco 49ers (2-7)- 8:15, ESPN: The Giants are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they lost a divisional matchup at home against the Washington Redskins. The 49ers are coming off an impressive Thursday night home win over the dreadful Oakland Raiders led by third string quarterback Nick Mullens, who will start again Monday. The Giants are similar to the Raiders in which it's a lost season and are just playing out the string. Niners win another game against a league bottom feeder.
Prediction: San Francisco 33, NY Giants 20.
