Here are my picks for Week 10 of the 2019 NFL season.
Thursday, November 6th
Los Angeles Chargers (4-5) vs Oakland Raiders (4-4)- 8:20, FOX/NFLN: The Chargers are coming off a big time home win over the Green Bay Packers. The Raiders are coming off a home win over the Detroit Lions. Joey Bosa and the Chargers defense has stepped up of late, but the best unit on the field might just be the Raiders offense led by Rookie of the Year favorite Josh Jacobs and breakout tight end Darren Waller and I think this will be an entertaining game with the Raiders getting above .500 here at home.
Prediction: Oakland 27, LA Chargers 23.
Sunday, November 10th
Detroit Lions (3-4-1) vs Chicago Bears (3-5)- 1:00, CBS: The Lions are coming off a tough road loss in Oakland against the Raiders. The Bears are coming off a road loss in Philadelphia against the Eagles. Although Matthew Stafford may not play and would make me reassess this pick, but Mitch Trubisky has been perhaps the worst quarterback in the NFL this season and I love the a Lions to win here on the road as the Bears fans will boo their team each time Trubisky does something bad.
Prediction: Detroit 26, Chicago 16.
Baltimore Ravens (6-2) vs Cincinnati Bengals (0-8)- 1:00, CBS: The Ravens are coming off a humongous home win over the New England Patriots on Sunday Night Football. The Bengals are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they lost to the Los Angeles Rams in London. Ryan Finley is making his first career start here and I think they'll keep it close against a Ravens team that may have a letdown after that Pats win.
Prediction: Baltimore 23, Cincinnati 20.
Buffalo Bills (6-2) vs Cleveland Browns (2-6)- 1:00, CBS: The Bills are coming off a home win over the hapless Washington Redskins. The Browns are coming off a bad road loss in Denver against a Broncos team that was on their third string quarterback. The Browns are amazingly favored in this game, which makes me suggest they know something and what they know is that the Browns are due. I think they are too as the Bills will be exposed by a team that's arguably more talented than they are.
Prediction: Cleveland 23, Buffalo 17.
Kansas City Chiefs (5-3) vs Tennessee Titans (4-5)- 1:00, CBS: The Chiefs are coming off a home win over the Minnesota Vikings. The Titans are coming off a loss in Charlotte against the Panthers. Patrick Mahomes returns for this one and I'm interested to see how he looks, but I won't be surprised if the game is close due to Derrick Henry exploiting the Chiefs weakness. Chiefs win a close one.
Prediction: Kansas City 27, Tennessee 26.
Atlanta Falcons (1-7) vs New Orleans Saints (7-1)- 1:00, FOX: The Falcons are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they lost at home against the Seattle Seahawks in a game which Matt Ryan hurt his ankle in. The Saints are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they won at home over the Arizona Cardinals. I absolutely love the Saints here in their home building against a Falcons team that is beat up on defense and has a coach on the hot seat and this is my lock of the week.
Prediction: New Orleans 37, Atlanta 24.
New York Giants (2-7) vs New York Jets (1-7)- 1:00, FOX: The New York Pooper Bowl everybody! The Giants are coming off a Monday night home loss against the Dallas Cowboys. The Jets are coming off a terrible divisional road loss in Miami against the previously winless Dolphins. The worse of the two teams that share a stadium is the Jets and I think the best player on the field will be Saquon Barkley and he'll help the giants end their five game losing skid.
Prediction: NY Giants 30, NY Jets 26.
Arizona Cardinals (3-5-1) vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-5)- 1:00, FOX: The Cardinals are coming off a Thursday night divisional home loss against the San Francisco 49ers. The Buccaneers are coming off a tough overtime road loss in Seattle against the Seahawks. Neither of these teams are very good, but I really like what I've seen from Kyler Murray of late and I think he will lead the Cards to a nice road win here.
Prediction: Arizona 30, Tampa Bay 27.
Miami Dolphins (1-7) vs Indianapolis Colts (5-3)- 4:05, CBS: The Dolphins are coming off their first win over the season at home over the pitiful New York Jets. The Colts are coming off a tough road loss in Pittsburgh against the Steelers and Jacoby Brissett injured his knee. Brian Hoyer is now starting for the Colts here, but after their first win this feels like a major letdown spot for the Dolphins so I like the Colts to use their run game and get the win here at home.
Prediction: Indianapolis 20, Miami 13.
Carolina Panthers (5-3) vs Green Bay Packers (7-2)- 4:25, FOX: The Panthers are coming off a home win over the Tennessee Titans. The Packers are coming off a bad road loss in Los Angeles against the Chargers. This is a really nice spot for Aaron Rodgers and that offense to bounce back and exploit the Panthers defense like Jimmy Garappolo did a few weeks ago and get a nice win here at home.
Prediction: Green Bay 34, Carolina 20.
Los Angeles Rams (5-3) vs Pittsburgh Steelers (4-4)- 4:25, FOX: The Rams are coming off their het and two week ago they won in London against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers are coming off a home win over the Indianapolis Colts. The weather isn't going to be great, which could factor a bit here, but I don't trust Mason Rudolph and I think the Rams will get it done on the road.
Prediction: LA Rams 26, Pittsburgh 16.
Minnesota Vikings (6-3) vs Dallas Cowboys (5-3)- 8:20, NBC: The Vikings are coming off a heartbreaking road loss in Kansas City against the Chiefs on a game winning field goal by Harrison Butker. The Cowboys are coming off a big Monday Night road win in East Rutherford against the Giants. Kirk Cousins never really steps up in road primetime games against good teams and it won't help that Adam Thielen is out due to a hamstring injury. The Cowboys will come away in what will be another statement win at home.
Prediction: Dallas 30, Minnesota 29.
Monday, November 11th
Seattle Seahawks (7-2) vs San Francisco 49ers (8-0)- 8:15, ESPN: The Seahawks are coming off an overtime home win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 49ers are coming off a divisional Thursday night road win in Glendale against the Cardinals. This should be a fun and entertaining game between two good teams and I think that Jimmy Garappolo and that offense will exploit the Seahawks defense like the Bucs did last week and the Niners defense will get some stops and they'll remain unbeaten another week.
Prediction: San Francisco 34, Seattle 26.
