2019 NFL Week 12 Picks

Here are my picks for Week 12 of the 2019 NFL season.

Thursday, November 21st
Indianapolis Colts (6-4) vs Houston Texans (6-4)- 8:20, FOX/NFLN: The Colts are coming off a big divisional home win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Texans are coming off a disastrous road loss in Baltimore against the Ravens. Both teams are getting key wide receivers and tight ends back from injuries with TY Hilton and Eric Ebron for the Colts and Will Fuller IV for the Texans. This is a fun game that could end up deciding this division and I like the Texans in a bounce back spot at home, despite not having JJ Watt.
Prediction: Houston 27, Indianapolis 24.

Sunday, November 24th
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-7) vs Atlanta Falcons (3-7)- 1:00, FOX: The Buccaneers are coming off a divisional home loss against the New Orleans Saints. The Falcons are coming off another divisional road win, this time in Charlotte against the Panthers. This should be an entertaining game and I'm not sold on this Falcons defense being resurgent (I get it Jameis Winston is a turnover machine), but I actually think the Bucs will pull off the road upset.
Prediction: Tampa Bay 31, Atlanta 27.

Denver Broncos (3-7) vs Buffalo Bills (7-3)- 1:00, CBS: The Broncos are coming off a heartbreaking road loss in Minneapolis against the Vikings in which they blew a 20 point lead in. The Bills are coming off a divisional road win in Miami against the Dolphins. This is going to be an ugly, low scoring game and I think home field advantage plus a coaching advantage give the Bills the edge here.
Prediction: Buffalo 20, Denver 16.

New York Giants (2-8) vs Chicago Bears (4-6)- 1:00, FOX: The Giants are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they lost against the New York Jets in what I called "The New York Pooper Bowl". The Bears are coming off a Sunday night road loss in Los Angeles against the Rams. Mitch Trubisky has been the worst starting quarterback in the league this season, but with a few injuries on offense for the Giants, I do think the Bears defense will make just enough stops.
Prediction: Chicago 23, NY Giants 20.

Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5) vs Cincinnati Bengals (0-10)- 1:00, CBS: The Steelers are coming off a Thursday night divisional road loss in Cleveland against the Browns, in which multiple players were involved in the big brawl that happened. The Bengals are coming off a road loss in Oakland against the Raiders. The Steelers won't have James Conner and Ju-Ju Smith Schuster (due to injuries) and Maurkice Pouncey (suspension from brawl), but the Bengals are just so bad. I think the Steelers win it with their defense alone.
Prediction: Pittsburgh 16, Cincinnati 13.

Miami Dolphins (2-8) vs Cleveland Browns (4-6)- 1:00, FOX: The Dolphins are coming off a divisional home loss against the Buffalo Bills. The Browns are coming off a Thursday night divisional home win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, headlined by the brawl. Myles Garrett is suspended for the rest of this season and I won't be shocked if the Browns lose this game outright because it would be soooooo Browns. But, I think they'll get the win thanks to their offense.
Prediction: Cleveland 30, Miami 24.

Carolina Panthers (5-5) vs New Orleans Saints (8-2)- 1:00, CBS: The Panthers are coming off a bad divisional home loss against the Atlanta Falcons. The Saints are coming off a road win in Tampa against the Buccaneers. The Saints offense looks like it's back on track after that one week lull against the Falcons and I think they'll rack up yards against the Panthers as Drew Brees leads them to a win.
Prediction: New Orleans 33, Carolina 20.

Oakland Raiders (6-4) vs New York Jets (3-7)- 1:00, CBS: The Raiders are coming off a home win over the lowly Cincinnati Bengals. The Jets are coming off a road win in Landover against the lowly Redskins. This feels like a trap game for the Raiders, who have the Chiefs next week in a big divisional game, so I'm going to take Sam Darnold and the Jets to win their third in a row.
Prediction: NY Jets 27, Oakland 23.

Seattle Seahawks (8-2) vs Philadelphia Eagles (5-5)- 1:00, FOX: The Seahawks are coming off a bye and two weeks ago, they won a big game on Monday Night Football in Santa Clara against their division rival 49ers. The Eagles are coming off a home loss against the New England Patriots. It's tough to go against Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson off a bye, but I think this is a spot where the Eagles can take advantage of a weak Seahawks secondary and get a big win to keep themselves alive in the NFC East race.
Prediction: Philadelphia 33, Seattle 27.

Detroit Lions (3-6-1) vs Washington Redskins (1-9)- 1:00, FOX: The Lions are coming off a home loss against the Dallas Cowboys. The Redskins are coming off a bad home loss against the New York Jets. The starting quarterbacks in this matchup are Jeff Driskel (filling in for the injured Matthew Stafford) and Dwayne Haskins. I'll give it one more go with the Redskins and take them to finally get a win.
Prediction: Washington 17, Detroit 13.

Jacksonville Jaguars (4-6) vs Tennessee Titans (5-5)- 4:05, CBS: This is actually a big game in terms of who could still be alive in the playoff picture. The Jaguars are coming off a divisional road loss in Indianapolis against the Colts. The Titans are coming off a bye and two weeks ago they won at home over the Kansas City Chiefs. This is going to be an entertaining game unlike the last time these two teams met and I think that the Titans get it done at home this time around.
Prediction: Tennessee 26, Jacksonville 23.

Dallas Cowboys (6-4) vs New England Patriots (9-1)- 4:25, FOX: The Cowboys are coming off a road in win Detroit against the Lions. The Patriots are coming off a road win in Philadelphia against the Eagles. This is going to be a classic and entertaining game between these two big brand teams and I think that the Patriots find a way to win a close one thanks to a better performance by Tom Brady.
Prediction: New England 27, Dallas 24.

Green Bay Packers (8-2) vs San Francisco 49ers (9-1)- 8:20, NBC: The Packers are coming off a bye and two weeks ago they beat the Carolina Panthers at home in a snow game. The 49ers are coming off a crazy divisional home win over the Arizona Cardinals. The Niners have looked vulnerable over the past few weeks and I think Aaron Rodgers can light up the secondary similar to Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray the past few weeks and he'll lead the Pack to the top of the NFC overall standings.
Prediction: Green Bay 27, San Francisco 23.

Monday, November 25th

Baltimore Ravens (8-2) vs Los Angeles Rams (6-4)- 8:15, ESPN: The Ravens are coming off a huge statement home win over the Houston Texans. The Rams are coming off a Sunday night home win over the Chicago Bears. It's so tough to bet against MVP favorite Lamar Jackson and the Ravens right now so I'll keep it rolling as Jackson lights it up on National TV again against a Rams team that I think is overrated.
Prediction: Baltimore 37, LA Rams 30.
