Here are my picks for week ten of the 2016 NFL season.
Thursday, November 10th
Cleveland Browns (0-9) vs Baltimore Ravens (4-4)- 8:25, NFLN: Cleveland is coming off a home loss against the Dallas Cowboys as they remain the leagues lone winless team. Baltimore is coming off a big home win over the Pittsburgh Steelers as they are now in a first-place tie with the Steelers in the AFC North. I won't be surprised if the hapless Browns hang around in this one, but I would be surprised if they won this game. Give me Joe Flacco and the Ravens at home.
Prediction: Baltimore 30, Cleveland 21.
Sunday, November 13th
Green Bay Packers (4-4) vs Tennessee Titans (4-5)- 1:00, FOX: This is a fascinating game. Green Bay is coming off a bad home loss against the Indianapolis Colts. Tennessee is coming off a tough road loss in San Diego against the Chargers. The Packers absolutely have to win this game or else the season could spiral, give me Aaron Rodgers and the Pack to win this one on the road.
Prediction: Green Bay 33, Tennessee 20.
Minnesota Vikings (5-3) vs Washington Redskins (4-3-1)- 1:00, FOX: Minnesota is coming off a disappointing overtime divisional home loss against the Detroit Lions. Washington is coming off a tie in London against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Vikings 5-0 start is looking like an aberration by the week and the Skins had a week to prepare, so give me Kirk Cousins and the Redskins at home.
Prediction: Washington 26, Minnesota 20.
Chicago Bears (2-6) vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-5)- 1:00, FOX: Chicago is coming off their bye and two weeks ago, they won a divisional home against the Minnesota Vikings on Halloween night. Tampa Bay is coming off a Thursday night divisional home loss against the Atlanta Falcons. This was a tough call, but give me Jameis Winston and the Bucs at home against a lousy Bears defense.
Prediction: Tampa Bay 24, Chicago 20.
Kansas City Chiefs (6-2) vs Carolina Panthers (3-5)- 1:00, CBS: Kansas City is coming off a home win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Carolina is coming off a huge road win in Los Angeles against the Rams. Alex Smith returns this week for the Chiefs, but I believe the Panthers will win this one at home in a game they absolutely need in order to have hope to salvage their season.
Prediction: Carolina 27, Kansas City 23.
Atlanta Falcons (6-3) vs Philadelphia Eagles (4-4)- 1:00, FOX: Atlanta is coming off a big Thursday night divisional road win in Tampa against the Bucs. Philadelphia is coming off a brutal divisional road loss in East Rutherford against the Giants. Another tough call, but give me Carson Wentz and the Eagles to bounce back at home against a decent Falcons team.
Prediction: Philadelphia 24, Atlanta 21.
Los Angeles Rams (3-5) vs New York Jets (3-6)- 1:00, FOX: This is probably the worst game on this weeks slate. The Rams are coming off a brutal home loss against the Carolina Panthers. The Jets are coming off a brutal divisional road loss in Miami against the Dolphins. I don't love either teams quarterback, but give me the Jets at home.
Prediction: NY Jets 20, Los Angeles 16.
Denver Broncos (6-3) vs New Orleans Saints (4-4)- 1:00. CBS: Denver is coming off a tough Sunday night divisional road loss in Oakland against the Raiders. New Orleans is coming off a nice road win in San Francisco against the 49ers. I'm going to take the Broncos here to bounce back on the road led by their defense although there's a chance Aqib Talib doesn't play.
Prediction: Denver 26, New Orleans 20.
Houston Texans (5-3) vs Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6)- 1:00, CBS: Houston is coming off their bye and two weeks ago they won at home against the Detroit Lions. Jacksonville is coming off a road loss in Kansas City against the Chiefs. I don't love the Texans on the road, but the Jags are just awful at home so I'll roll with Brock Osweiler and the Texans here.
Prediction: Houston 24, Jacksonville 16.
Miami Dolphins (4-4) vs San Diego Chargers (4-5)- 4:05, CBS: Miami is coming off a big divisional home win against the New York Jets to keep their season alive. San Diego is coming off a big home win over the Tennessee Titans to keep their season alive as well. This game is huge for both teams, but give me Phillip Rivers and the Chargers here at home.
Prediction: San Diego 30, Miami 20.
San Francisco 49ers (1-7) vs Arizona Cardinals (3-4-1)- 4:25, FOX: San Francisco is coming off a home loss against the New Orleans Saints. Arizona is coming off a disappointing road loss in Charlotte against a desperate Panthers team. The Cardinals absolutely need this game in the worst way and because of that they are my lock of the week.
Prediction: Arizona 30, San Francisco 17.
Dallas Cowboys (7-1) vs Pittsburgh Steelers (4-4)- 4:25, FOX: This is the best game on the slate this week and it could be a game of the year candidate too. Dallas is coming off a nice road win in Cleveland against the Browns. Pittsburgh is coming off a brutal divisional road loss in Baltimore against the Ravens. Ben Rothlisberger came back last week and now that he has a week off his belt, I believe he leads his team to a big time win over arguably the NFC's best team.
Prediction: Pittsburgh 30, Dallas 27.
Seattle Seahawks (5-2-1) vs New England Patriots (7-1)- 8:30, NBC: Here we got a Super Bowl rematch from two years ago between two of the leagues best teams. Seattle is coming off a big Monday Night home win over the Buffalo Bills. New England is coming off a bye and two weeks ago they won a big divisional road game in Buffalo over the Bills. I love the Pats here at home and I believe they'll be motivated.
Prediction: New England 33, Seattle 23.
Monday, November 14th
Cincinnati Bengals (3-4-1) vs New York Giants (5-3)- 8:30, ESPN: Cincinnati is coming off their bye and two weeks ago, they had a tie with the Washington Redskins in London. The Giants are coming off a huge divisional home win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Bengals need this game badly, but I don't trust Andy Dalton in primetime on the road at all so give me Big Blue to win their fourth straight.
Prediction: NY Giants 27, Cincinnati 20.
