Here are my picks for week twelve of the 2016 NFL season.
Thursday, November 24th
Minnesota Vikings (6-4) vs Detroit Lions (6-4)- 12:30, CBS: What a huge game on Thanksgiving that could very well decide the NFC North. Minnesota is coming off a huge home win over the Arizona Cardinals. Detroit is coming off a huge home win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. This wasn't an easy call, but give me the Vikings to get revenge from their loss to the Lions from a few weeks ago with a big road win in Detroit.
Prediction: Minnesota 23, Detroit 20.
Washington Redskins (6-3-1) vs Dallas Cowboys (9-1)- 4:30, FOX: Here's another big divisional matchup. Washington is coming off a huge home win over the Green Bay Packers. Dallas is coming off a nice home win over the Baltimore Ravens. The Redskins will hang around, but ultimately, Ezekiel Elliott and the Cowboys offense will be too much for the Skins defense to handle.
Prediction: Dallas 30, Washington 24.
Pittsburgh Steelers (5-5) vs Indianapolis Colts (5-5)- 8:30, NBC: Here's a big game that could go along way for each teams hopes of winning their respective divisions. Pittsburgh is coming off a much needed divisional road win in Cleveland against the Browns. Indianapolis is coming off a huge divisional home win over the Tennessee Titans. Andrew Luck will not play due to a concussion and now they turn to Scott Tolzien and that screams disaster for Indy. Give me Big Ben & Company big on the road.
Prediction: Pittsburgh 34, Indianapolis 16.
Sunday, November 27th
Tennessee Titans (5-6) vs Chicago Bears (2-8)- 1:00, CBS: Tennessee is coming off a disappointing road loss in Indianapolis against the Colts. Chicago is coming off a tough road loss in East Rutherford against the Giants. Jay Cutler injured his shoulder and is doubtful to play, so give me Marcus Mariota and the Titans to get back to .500 with a road win.
Prediction: Tennessee 24, Chicago 16.
Jacksonville Jaguars (2-8) vs Buffalo Bills (5-5)- 1:00, CBS: Jacksonville is coming off a tough road loss in Detroit against the Lions. Buffalo is coming off a big road win in Cincinnati against the Bengals. The Bills have been up and down all season and now it looks like they're up again and I'll take them to get back above .500 against a hapless Jags team.
Prediction: Buffalo 26, Jacksonville 19.
Cincinnati Bengals (3-6-1) vs Baltimore Ravens (5-5)- 1:00, CBS: Cincinnati is coming off a disappointing home loss against the Buffalo Bills in which Giovanni Bernard and AJ Green were both injured in and now out for the season. Baltimore is coming off a tough loss in Arlington against the Cowboys. The Ravens need this game to keep pace with the Steelers in the division and I believe they'll win this and take advantage of the Bengals inuries.
Prediction: Baltimore 27, Cincinnati 16.
Arizona Cardinals (4-5-1) vs Atlanta Falcons (6-4)- 1:00, FOX: Arizona is coming off a brutal road loss in Minneapolis against the Vikings. Atlanta is coming off their bye and two weeks ago, they lost a tough one in Philadelphia against the Eagles. I like Matt Ryan and the Falcons, especially coming off the bye and that they're home.
Prediction: Atlanta 27, Arizona 20.
New York Giants (7-3) vs Cleveland Browns (0-10)- 1:00, FOX: The Giants are coming off a home win over the Chicago Bears. Cleveland is coming off a tough divisional home loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Giants are rolling with five straight wins and make it six after this week.
Prediction: NY Giants 30, Cleveland 16.
Los Angeles Rams (4-6) vs New Orleans Saints (4-6)- 1:00, FOX: Los Angeles is coming off an absolutely brutal home loss against the Miami Dolphins in which they blew a 10-0 fourth quarter lead in. New Orleans is coming off their bye and two weeks ago, they lost a tough road divisional game in Charlotte against the Panthers. I like Drew Brees and the Saints coming off their bye and being home and I believe they'll get a much needed win.
Prediction: New Orleans 27, Los Angeles 17.
San Francisco 49ers (1-9) vs Miami Dolphins (6-4)- 1:00, FOX: San Francisco is coming off a brutal home loss against the New England Patriots. Miami is coming off a huge comeback win in Los Angeles against the Rams. The Dolphins have been red hot lately due to their defense and running game and that will continue against the hapless Niners and because of that, they are my lock of the week.
Prediction: Miami 27, San Francisco 16.
San Diego Chargers (4-6) vs Houston Texans (6-4)- 1:00, CBS: San Diego is coming off their bye and two weeks ago, they had a brutal home loss against the Miami Dolphins. Houston is coming off a very tough loss in Mexico against the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football. This was a tough call and I believe it will be a close game and I'll take the Texans, who are awesome at home, to win another home game.
Prediction: Houston 26, San Diego 24.
Seattle Seahawks (7-2-1) vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5)- 4:05, FOX: Seattle is coming off a huge home win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Tampa Bay is coming off a great road win in Kansas City against the Chiefs. This screams letdown for the Bucs as the Seahawks are hitting their stride right now and they'll get a big win on the road.
Prediction: Seattle 27, Tampa Bay 20.
Carolina Panthers (4-6) vs Oakland Raiders (8-2)- 4:25, CBS: Carolina is coming off a huge Thursday night divisional home win over the New Orleans Saints. Oakland is coming off a big win in Mexico on Monday night against the Houston Texans. This was a tough call, but I like Derek Carr and the Raiders here at home to continue their great play.
Prediction: Oakland 30, Carolina 27.
New England Patriots (8-2) vs New York Jets (3-7)- 4:25, CBS: New England is coming off a road win in San Francisco against the 49ers. The Jets are coming off their bye and two weeks ago, they lost at home against the Los Angeles Rams. Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski had injuries and day out of practice and I believe they'll both play and they'll cruise to another win.
Prediction: New England 33, NY Jets 20.
Kansas City Chiefs (7-3) vs Denver Broncos (7-3)- 8:30, NBC: This is no doubt the best game of the weekend. Kansas City is coming off an awful home loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Denver is coming off their hey and two weeks ago, they won a crazy game in New Orleans against the Saints. I absolutely love the Broncos and that defense, led by Von Miller to keep the Chiefs offense in check and get a big time home win to possibly go towards another division title and possibly home-field advantage in the AFC Playoffs.
Prediction: Denver 27, Kansas City 19.
Monday, November 29th
Green Bay Packers (4-6) vs Philadelphia Eagles (5-5)- 8:30, ESPN: Green Bay is coming off a disastrous Sunday night road loss in Landover against the Redskins. Philadelphia is coming off a tough road loss in Seattle against the Seahawks. The Packers are just a hot mess right now and I don't see it getting better as Carson Wentz will have a field day against the Packer defense.
Prediction: Philadelphia 37, Green Bay 23.
