2015 College Football Week 13 Picks

Here are my picks for week thirteen of the 2015 College Football season.

Tuesday, November 24th
Bowling Green (8-3; 6-1) at Ball State (3-8; 2-5)- 7:00, ESPN3
Pick: Bowling Green

Ohio (7-4; 4-3) at Northern Illinois (8-3; 6-1)- 7:30, ESPNU: The Huskies can clinch a spot in the MAC title game with a win here and they'll get it done here.
Pick: Northern Illinois

Thursday, November 26h
South Florida (7-4; 5-2) at UCF (0-11; 0-7)- 7:30, ESPN
Pick: South Florida

Texas Tech (6-5; 3-5) at Texas (4-6; 3-4)- 7:30, FS1: Even if the Longhorns win this game, Charlie Strong might not be back next season.
Pick: Texas

Friday, November 27th
Miami (FL) (7-4; 4-3) at Pittsburgh (8-3; 6-1)- 12:00, ESPN2
Pick: Pittsburgh

Marshall (9-2; 6-1) at Western Kentucky (9-2; 7-0)- 12:00, FS1: This is the game where the winner will play in the C-USA championship game. The Hiltoppers are the better team and they have a solid quarterback in Brandon Doughty and he'll lead his team to a division title.
Pick: Western Kentucky

Navy (9-1; 7-0) at Houston (10-1; 6-1)- 12:00, ABC: This game will determine who plays the Temple Owls for the American Conference title. The Midshipmen have been very good on the road this season and I like them to upset the Cougars at home to win the AAC West title.
Pick: Navy

Western Michigan (6-5; 5-2) at Toledo (9-1; 6-1)- 12:00, CBSSN: The Rockets need some help to clinch a ticket to the MAC title game since they lost a few weeks back against the Northern Illinois Huskies, but I think they'll pull out a win here.
Pick: Toledo

Kent State (3-8; 2-5) at Akron (6-5; 4-3)- 12:00, ESPN3
Pick: Akron

Eastern Michigan (1-10; 0-7) at Central Michigan (6-5; 5-2)- 1:00, ESPN3
Pick: Central Michigan

Troy (3-7; 2-4) at Georgia State (4-6; 3-3)- 2:00, ESPN3
Pick: Georgia State

Missouri (5-6; 1-6) at Arkansas (6-5; 4-3)- 2:30, CBS: The Tigers can become bowl eligible with a win here, but the Razorbacks are the better team and they'll pull it out here thanks to their hot offense.
Pick: Arkansas

Oregon State (2-9; 0-8) at Oregon (8-3; 6-2)- 3:30, FS1
Pick: Oregon

Washington State (8-3; 6-2) at Washington (5-6; 3-5)- 3:30, FOX: The Huskies can become bowl eligible with a win here, but the Cougars are the better team here and will get the job done in Seattle.
Pick: Washington State

Iowa (11-0; 7-0) at Nebraska (5-6; 3-4)- 3:30, ABC: The Cornhuskers could become bowl eligible with a win here over the unbeaten Hawkeyes, who have their eyes on the College Football Playoff. The Hawkeyes are just the better team and their defense can slow down the Huskers offense, which will be the difference in this game.
Pick: Iowa

Boise State (7-4; 4-3) at San Jose State (5-6; 4-3)- 3:30, CBSSN: The Broncos have absolutely fallen apart and the Spartans will become bowl eligible here with a win.
Pick: San Jose State

Massachusetts (2-9; 1-6) at Buffalo (5-6; 3-4)- 4:30, ESPNU: The Bulls can become bowl eligible here with a win and they'll get it done against a bad UMass team.
Pick: Buffalo

Baylor (9-1; 6-1) at TCU (9-2; 6-2)- 7:30, ESPN: Hey, remember back in August when everyone circled this as the game that decides the Big-12 title and a spot in the College Football Playoff? That seems like a distant memory now with the emergence of the Sooners and the Cowboys and the injuries with both of these teams are dealing with, notably, both teams quarterbacks. The Bears may have a letdown after the big win in Stillwater, but they'll win this one since they are the better team at this point.
Pick: Baylor

Tulsa (5-6; 2-5) at Tulane (3-8; 1-6)-8:00, ESPNU: The Golden Hurricane can become bowl eligible with a win here and they'll get it done against a subpar Green Wave team.
Pick: Tulsa

Saturday, November 28th
Cincinnati (6-5; 3-4) at East Carolina (5-6; 3-4)- 12:00, CBSSN: The Pirates could become bowl eligible with a win here, but the Bearcats are the better team here and will win this one in Greenville.
Pick: Cincinnati

SMU (2-9; 1-6) at Memphis (8-3; 4-3)- 12:00, ESPNEWS
Pick: Memphis

Iowa State (3-8; 2-6) at West Virginia (6-4; 3-4)- 12:00, FS1
Pick: West Virginia

Indiana (5-6; 1-6) at Purdue (2-9; 1-6)- 12:00, BTN
Pick: Indiana

Maryland (2-9; 0-7) at Rutgers (4-7; 1-6)- 12:00, BTN
Pick: Maryland

Southern Miss (8-3; 6-1) at Louisiana Tech (8-3; 6-1)- 12:00: This game decides who wins the C-USA West and to play in the conference title game. I like the Bulldogs at home but a road upset can't be ruled out entirely here.
Pick: Louisiana Tech

Ohio State (10-1; 6-1) at Michigan (9-2; 6-1)- 12:00, ABC: This should be a dandy at the Big House. There is a lot of friction going on with the Buckeyes after their loss against Sparty, so give me the Wolverines.
Pick: Michigan

Florida Atlantic (2-9; 2-5) at Old Dominion (5-6; 3-4)- 12:00
Pick: Old Dominion

Clemson (11-0; 8-0) at South Carolina (3-8; 1-7)- 12:00, ESPN: Wouldn't rule out the Gamecocks making this interesting.
Pick: Clemson

Virginia Tech (5-6; 3-4) at Virginia (4-7; 3-4)- 12:00, ESPNU: Frank Beamer's squad becomes bowl eligibility for the final time under Beamer.
Pick: Virginia Tech

Georgia (8-3; 5-3) at Georgia Tech (3-8; 1-7)- 12:00, ESPN2
Pick: Georgia

Louisville (6-5; 5-3) at Kentucky (5-6; 2-6)- 12:00, SECN
Pick: Louisville

Boston College (3-8; 0-7) at Syracuse (3-8; 1-6)- 12:30, ESPN3
Pick: Syracuse

Duke (6-5; 3-4) at Wake Forest (3-8; 1-6)- 12:30, ESPN3
Pick: Duke

Louisiana-Lafayette (4-6; 3-3) at Appalachian State (8-2; 5-1)- 2:00, ESPN3: Upset special of the week right here but I don't feel great about it.
Pick: Lousiana-Lafayette

UNLV (3-8; 2-5) at Wyoming (1-10; 1-6)- 2:00, Root Sports
Pick: UNLV

South Alabama (5-5; 3-3) at Georgia Southern (7-3; 5-1)- 2:00, ESPN3
Pick: Georgia Southern

Middle Tennessee (6-5; 5-2) at UTSA (3-8; 3-4)- 2:30, Fox College
Pick: Middle Tennessee

Colorado (4-8; 1-7) at Utah (7-3; 5-3)- 2:30, Pac-12N
Pick: Utah

North Carolina (10-1; 7-0) at NC State (7-4; 3-4)- 3:30, ABC/ESPN2: This has the makings of an upset, but I think the Tar Heels pull it out late.
Pick: North Carolina

Alabama (10-1; 6-1) at Auburn (6-5; 2-5)-  3:30, CBS: We won't see this again, but the Tigers should keep it close.
Pick: Alabama

Charlotte (2-9; 0-7) at Rice (4-7; 2-5)- 3:30
Pick: Rice

Penn State (7-4; 4-3) at Michigan State (10-1; 6-1)- 3:30, ESPN: There is let down potential for Sparty, but they'll get it done over the Nittany Lions.
Pick: Michigan State

Wisconsin (8-3; 5-2) at Minnesota (5-6; 2-5)- 3:30, BTN: I wasn't impressed with the Badgers last week so I'm taking the Gophers and they'll become bowl eligible.
Pick: Minnesota

UTEP (4-7; 2-5) at North Texas (1-10; 1-6)- 3:30, FSN
Pick: UTEP

UCLA (8-3; 5-3) at USC (7-4; 5-3)-  3:30, ABC/ESPN2: This is the game for the Pac-12 South title and to play in the Pac-12 conference title game. Expect a lot of points in this game, but I like the Trojans at home.
Pick: USC

Northwestern (9-2; 5-2) at Illinois (5-6; 2-5)- 3:30, ESPNU: This game will be played at Soldier Field in Chicago. The Illini could become bowl eligible with a win here, but the Wildcats are the better team and they'll get the win.
Pick: Northwestern

BYU (8-3) at Utah State (6-5; 5-3)- 3:30, CBSSN
Pick: BYU

Arkansas State (7-3; 6-0) at New Mexico State (3-7; 3-3)- 4:00, ESPN3

Kansas State (4-6; 1-6) at Kansas (0-11; 0-8)- 4:00, FS1
Pick: Kansas State

Vanderbilt (4-7; 2-5) at Tennessee (7-4; 4-3)- 4:00, SECN
Pick: Tennessee

Texas State (3-7; 2-4) at Idaho (3-8; 2-5)- 5:00, ESPN3
Pick: Idaho

Connecticut (6-5; 4-3) at Temple (9-2; 6-1)- 7:00, ESPNU: The Huskies may have a letdown after that upset over the Cougars to become bowl eligible.
Pick: Temple

Ole Miss (8-3; 5-2) at Mississippi State (8-3; 4-3)- 7:15, ESPN2: This should be a fun Egg Bowl. I like Dak Prescott to lead the Bulldogs to the win here.
Pick: Mississippi State

Notre Dame (10-1) at Stanford (9-2; 8-1)- 7:30, FOX: I've been back and forth on this one for a while. I was originally leaning towards the Irish, but they haven't looked great in their last two games against subpar teams. Meanwhile, Christian McCaffrey has been a beast for the Cardinal and could be a Heisman finalist when it's all said and done and he and Kevin Hogan will lead the Cardinal to a win.
Pick: Stanford

Florida State (9-2; 6-2) at Florida (10-1; 7-1)- 7:30, ESPN: The Gators haven't looked great the last few weeks, so give me the Seminoles, although I fear the Jimbo Fisher to LSU rumors could distract them.
Pick: Florida State

Texas A&M (8-3; 4-3) at LSU (7-3; 4-3)- 7:30, SECN: The turmoil with LSU  is well documented at this point, but I think we'll see a bounce back performance here.
Pick: LSU

Oklahoma (10-1; 7-1) at Oklahoma State (10-1; 7-1)- 8:00, ABC: This is definitely the biggest game of the weekend. A playoff spot is potentially on the line here. This could go either way, but Baker Mayfield should be good to go after passing concussion tests so I like the Sooners to get another big road win.
Pick: Oklahoma

Colorado State (6-5; 4-3) at Fresno State (3-7; 2-5)- 9:00, CBSSN
Pick: Colorado State

Arizona State (6-5; 4-4) at California (6-5; 3-5)- 10:00, FS1: Tough call, but I like the Sun Devils on the road.
Pick: Arizona State

Air Force (8-3; 6-1) at New Mexico (6-5; 4-3)- 10:00, ESPNU
Pick: Air Force

Nevada (6-5; 4-3) at San Diego State (8-3; 7-0)- 10:45, ESPN2
Pick: San Diego State

Louisiana-Monroe (1-10; 0-7) at Hawaii (2-9; 0-7)- 11:59, Oceanic
Pick: Hawaii
