2015 NFL Midseason Awards

Here are my midseason awards for the 2015 NFL season.

MVP: Tom Brady, New England Patriots- There was no other choice here. Brady is having another amazing season and he hasn't shown signs of slowing down. He's the main reason why the Pats are still undefeated right now.
Runner up: Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers.

Offensive Player of the Year: Brady- See above.
Runner up: Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons.

Defensive Player of the Year: Josh Norman, Carolina Panthers- Norman is in the midst of a breakout season on the undefeated Panthers. His impact has been shown in every game he's played in this season. He is also in a contract year and will get paid big bucks in free agency next March.
Runner up: Charles Woodson, Oakland Raiders.

Offensive Rookie of the Year: Todd Gurley, St. Louis Rams- Gurley has been amazing in his rookie season after missing the first few games of the season while he was recovering from an ACL injury. He may just be the best running back in the league already and is a big contributor to the Rams this season.
Runner up: Amari Cooper, Oakland Raiders.

Defensive Rookie of the Year: Ronald Darby, Buffalo Bills- Darby has had a nice start to his rookie season and has been great in the Bills secondary. This was the toughest call of all of my midseason awards as many other players could have had a case.
Runner up: Leonard Williams, New York Jets.

Comeback Player of the Year: Chris Johnson, Arizona Cardinals: Johnson is enjoying a nice bounce back season on a Super Bowl contender in Arizona. The Cards running game has been an improved unit in the league and Johnson is a major reason why.
Runner up: Carson Palmer, Arizona Cardinals.

Coach of the Year: Jack Del Rio, Oakland Raiders- Oakland at the moment is sitting in the standings currently over the .500 mark. Del Rio has his team playing real hard and he should be proud of how well his young players are developing as well. A case could have been made for other coaches as well.
Runner up: Ron Rivera, Carolina Panthers.
