2015 College Football Week 14/15 Picks

Here are my picks for weeks fourteen (Championship Week) and fifteen (Army-Navy) of the 2015 College Football season.

Friday, December 4th
Bowling Green (9-3; 7-1) vs Northern Illinois (8-4; 6-2)- 8:00, ESPN2: This should be a fun matchup for the MAC Championship game. There will no doubt be a lot of offense, but I think the Huskies are the better team here, so they'll be your 2015 MAC Champions.
Pick: Bowling Green

Saturday, December 5th
Temple (10-2; 7-1) at Houston (11-1; 7-1)- 12:00, ABC: This game will determine not only the AAC Championship, but a New Years Six berth for sure. The Cougars are the home team here and they have a better offense than the Owls and that will be the difference here as the Cougars will earn a AAC Championship and perhaps a New Years Six bowl berth.
Pick: Houston

Texas (4-7; 3-5) at Baylor (9-2; 6-2)- 12:00, ESPN: Could be Charlie Strong's final game as Texas head coach.
Pick: Baylor

Southern Miss (9-3; 7-1) at Western Kentucky (10-2; 8-0)- 12:00, ESPN2: This should be a fun Conference-USA Championship matchup. The Golden Eagles have been a nice story this season, but Brandon Doughty is the quarterback on the other side and he's the difference in this one as the Hiltoppers will be Conference-USA Champions.
Pick: Western Kentucky

Georgia State (5-6; 4-3) at Georgia Southern (8-3; 6-1)- 2:00, ESPN3: The Panthers could become bowl eligible with a win here, but the Eagles are jugs the better team here and they are home as well.
Pick: Georgia Southern

Texas State (3-8; 2-5) at Arkansas State (8-3; 7-0)- 3:00, ESPN3
Pick: Arkansas State

New Mexico State (3-8; 3-4) at Louisiana-Monroe (1-11; 0-7)- 3:00, ESPN3
Pick: New Mexico State

Florida (10-2; 7-1) vs Alabama (11-1; 7-1)- 4:00, CBS: The Gators have been a mess lately, so the Tide should roll right to the College Football Playoff from Atlanta and Derrick Henry rolls right to New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony.
Pick: Alabama

West Virginia (7-4; 5-4) at Kansas State (5-6; 2-6)- 4:30, FS1: The Wildcats have been disappointing this season (although they can earn a bowl berth with a win here) and the Mountaineers have quietly played good football of late. Give me the 'Neers to win their fifth straight game going into their bowl game.
Pick: West Virginia

Troy (3-8; 2-5) at Louisiana-Lafayette (4-7; 3-5)- 5:00, ESPN3
Pick: Lousiana-Lafayette

Appalachian State (9-2; 6-1) at South Alabama (5-6; 3-4)- 7:30, ESPN3: The Jags need a win to become bowl eligible, but the Mountaineers are the better team here.
Pick: Appalachian State

Air Force (8-4; 6-2) at San Diego State (9-3; 8-0)- 7:30, ESPN2: This game will decide the MWC title. The Aztecs are not only home, but are unbeaten in conference play this season and they should win a close one over the Falcons for the MWC Championship.
Pick: San Diego State

Stanford (10-2; 8-1) vs USC (8-4; 6-3)- 7:45, ESPN: This should be a fun one down in Santa Clara that decides the Pac-12 title. Expect a heck of a lot of points, but Heisman candidate Christian McCaffrey to be the difference here as the Cardinal win the Pac-12 Championship.

North Carolina (11-1; 8-0) vs Clemson (12-0; 8-0)- 8:00, ABC: This should be an interesting one in Charlotte that decides the ACC title. The Tar Heels have been playing great football over the last few months and one could have wondered, what if they didn't lose their first game this season against South Carolina (ironically that game was in Charlotte as well). Deshaun Watson could earn a trip to New York as a Heisman Trophy finalist if he has a monster game here and I believe he carries his unbeaten team to a ACC Championship plus a College Football Playoff berth.
Pick: Clemson

Michigan State (11-1; 7-1) vs Iowa (12-0; 8-0)- 8:00, FOX: This should be a very intriguing matchup. The Hawkeyes have been an amazing story all season by going unbeaten and proven to be a great football team, but the Spartans are the more experienced team and Connor Cook will be the difference here as Sparty will win the Big-10 Championship and perhaps seal up a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Pick: Michigan State

Saturday, December 12th
Army (2-9) vs Navy (9-2; 7-1)- 3:00, CBS: The Midshipmen have been a good team all season long and they should beat the Black Knights for the fourteenth straight year.
Pick: Navy
