Here are my picks for week twelve of the NFL season.
Thursday, November 26th
Philadelphia Eagles (4-6) vs Detroit Lions (3-7)- 12:30, FOX: Philadelphia is coming off a dreadful home loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Detroit is coming off a nice home win over the Oakland Raiders. This is perhaps the toughest game to pick this week, but I like the Lions to win their third straight game at home thanks to big plays by Megatron. And don't forget, Mark Sanchez is starting for the Eagles and he did this on Thanksgiving three years ago.
Prediction: Detroit 27, Philadelphia 21.
Carolina Panthers (10-0) vs Dallas Cowboys (3-7)- 4:30, CBS: Carolina is coming off a great home win over the Washington Redskins. Dallas is coming off a win in Miami over the Dolphins in Tony Romo's return. It's easy to say that the Panthers will go to 11-0, but not so fast. Romo is back and the Cowboys are 3-0 in games where he plays and their defense isn't all that bad. Give me the Boys to hand the Cats their first loss of the season thanks to big games from Romo and Dez Bryant.
Prediction: Dallas 27, Carolina 24.
Chicago Bears (4-6) vs Green Bay Packers (7-3)- 8:30, NBC: Chicago is coming off a disappointing home loss against the Peyton Manning-less Denver Broncos. Green Bay is coming off a huge road win in Minneapolis against the Vikings. The Packers got back on track against the Vikes and they should take care of business against the Bears. The Packers are my lock of the week.
Prediction: Green Bay 36, Chicago 20.
Sunday, November 29th
New York Giants (5-5) vs Washington Redskins (4-6)- 1:00, FOX: The Giants are coming off their bye week and two weeks ago, they lost a heartbreaker at home against the New England Patriots. Washington is coming off a disastrous loss in Charlotte against the Panthers. The Giants defense has gotten better since Jason Pierre-Paul has come back and Kirk Cousins usually struggles against the Giants. Give me Big Blue on the road although Washington has been a decent home team this season.
Prediction: NY Giants 34, Washington 20.
Miami Dolphins (4-6) vs New York Jets (5-5)- 1:00, CBS: Miami is coming off a home loss against the Dallas Cowboys. The Jets are coming off a disappointing road loss in Houston against the Texans. Ryan Fitzpatrick has struggled of late and that's possibly because of his hand injury. Something tells me Ryan Tannehill leads the Dolphins to a road win to creep back into the AFC Wild Card conversation.
Prediction: Miami 27, NY Jets 23.
Minnesota Vikings (7-3) vs Atlanta Falcons (6-4)- 1:00, FOX: Minnesota is coming off a very disappointing home loss against the Green Bay Packers in which Teddy Bridgewater hurt his shoulder in. Atlanta is coming off a diss appointing home loss against the Indianapolis Colts, who didn't have Andrew Luck. The Falcons aren't the same team that 5-0, so them starting unbeaten may just have been an aberration. The Vikings are the better football team here, so they'll pick up the road victory.
Prediction: Minnesota 26, Atlanta 20.
San Diego Chargers (2-8) vs Jacksonville Jaguars (4-6)- 1:00, CBS: San Diego is coming off a ugly home loss against the Kansas City Chiefs. Jacksonville is coming off a Thursday night home win over the Tennessee Titans. Blake Bortles has shown improvement this season and he'll take advantage of a banged up Chargers defense and lead his team to a win.
Prediction: Jacksonville 27, San Diego 20.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-5) vs Indianapolis Colts (5-5)- 1:00, FOX: Tampa Bay is coming off a terrific road win in Philadelphia against the Eagles. Indianapolis is coming off a nice comeback win in Atlanta against the Falcons. Andrew Luck is still injured and Jameis Winston could very well be on his way to an Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Give me the Bucs to win their third straight and get above .500 for the first time this season.
Prediction: Tampa Bay 27, Indianapolis 26.
New Orleans Saints (4-6) vs Houston Texans (5-5)- 1:00, FOX: New Orleans is coming off their bye and two weeks ago, they had a horrible loss in Landover against the Redskins. Houston is coming off a big home win over the New York Jets to get back to the .500 mark. Brian Hoyer comes back from injury this week and JJ Watt is playing out of his mind right now. Give me the Texans to win their fourth straight game and take advantage of a bad Saints defense.
Prediction: Houston 30, New Orleans 23.
Oakland Raiders (4-6) vs Tennessee Titans (2-8)- 1:00, CBS: Oakland is coming off a disappointing road loss in Detroit against the Lions. Tennessee is coming off a Thursday night road loss in Jacksonville against the Jaguars. Oakland hasn't been the same team in a few weeks, so I see Marcus Mariota leading the Titans to a win here.
Prediction: Tennessee 26, Oakland 23.
Buffalo Bills (5-5) vs Kansas City Chiefs (5-5)- 1:00, CBS: Buffalo is coming off a Monday night road loss against the New England Patriots. Kansas City is coming off a nice road win in San Diego against the Chargers. Despite injuries, the Chiefs are back in the AFC Wild Card hunt and their back home for the first time in over a month, so give me the Chiefs here to win their fourth straight game.
Prediction: Kansas City 26, Buffalo 24.
St. Louis Rams (4-6) vs Cincinnati Bengals (8-2)- 1:00, FOX: St. Louis is coming off an awful loss in Baltimore against a banged up Ravens team. Cincinnati is coming off a Sunday night loss in Glendale against the Cardinals. Andy Dalton didn't play poorly against the Cardinals, but he's clearly better in day games than night games. This has Bengals bounce back win written all over it since the Rams are dealing with a lot of problems right now.
Prediction: Cincinnati 30, St. Louis 20.
Arizona Cardinals (8-2) vs San Francisco 49ers (3-7)- 4:05, FOX: Arizona is coming off a great Sunday night home win over the Cincinnati Bengals. San Francisco is coming off a tough loss in Seattle against the Seahawks. The Cardinals are clearly the better team here and they should cruise here over a bad Niners team.
Prediction: Arizona 33, San Francisco 17.
Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4) vs Seattle Seahawks (5-5)- 4:25, CBS: Pittsburgh is coming off their bye and two weeks ago, they won at home over the Cleveland Browns in which a banged up Ben Rothlisberger came into play in relief (!!) of backup quarterback Landry Jones, who got hurt in the game. Seattle is coming off a home win over the San Francisco 49ers. Rothlisberger should be healthy for this one since their coming off a bye so give me the Steelers here on the road to quiet the twelfth man.
Prediction: Pittsburgh 30, Seattle 26.
New England Patriots (10-0) vs Denver Broncos (8-2)- 8:30, NBC: New England is coming off a Monday night home win over the Buffalo Bills, in which Danny Amendola got injured in. Denver is coming off a nice road win in Chicago against the Bears in which Brock Osweiler played well in. It's very tempting to pick the Broncos to hand the Patriots their first loss of the season since the Pats are dealing with some injuries so........ I'm picking the Broncos.
Prediction: Denver 27, New England 23.
Monday, November 30th
Baltimore Ravens (3-7) vs Cleveland Browns (2-8)- 8:30, ESPN: Baltimore is coming off a home win over the St. Louis Rams in which Joe Flacco tore his ACL and is out for the season now. Cleveland is coming off their bye and two weeks ago they lost in Pittsburgh against the Steelers. Johnny Manziel has been a giant distraction to this team with his off the field activities, so he was demoted to the third-string quarterback. Josh McCown is starting for the Browns and Matt Schaub is starting for the Ravens. McCown is better than Schaub, so the Browns will get the win here.
Prediction: Cleveland 23, Baltimore 17.
