2017 Big East Tournament Predictions

Here are my predictions for the 2017 Big East tournament.

First Round
3/8- (9) Georgetown (14-17; 5-13) vs (8) St. John's (13-18; 7-11)- 7:00, FS1: The Garden gives the Red Storm the advantage here.
Prediction: St. John's

3/8- (10) DePaul (9-22; 2-16) vs (7) Xavier (19-12; 9-9)- 9:30, FS1: The Musketeers have to win this game or else they'll be bound to the NIT.
Prediction: Xavier

Quarterfinals
3/9- (8) St. John's vs (1) Villanova (28-3; 15-3)- 12:00, FS1: Josh Hart leads the way for the Cats, but don't rule out a close game since it's a home game for the Red Storm.
Prediction: Villanova

3/9- (5) Seton Hall (20-10; 10-8) vs (4) Marquette (19-11; 10-8)- 2:30, FS1: This should be a fun game. I like the Pirates here to pull off a minor upset. Both teams regardless should be in the Big Dance.
Prediction: Seton Hall

3/9- (7) Xavier vs (2) Butler (23-7; 12-6)- 7:00, FS1: Edmond Sumner will keep the Musketeers in this game, but the Bulldogs are the better all around team.
Prediction: Butler

3/9- (6) Creighton (23-8; 10-8) vs (3) Providence (21-10; 10-8)- 9:30, FS1: This should be a great game. Both teams should be in the dance regardless, but I like the Jays here to advance.
Prediction: Creighton

Semifinals
3/10- (5) Seton Hall vs (1) Villanova- 6:30, FS1: Here's a rematch of last years Big East tournament championship game. Give me the Cats to get revenge.
Prediction: Villanova

3/10- (6) Creighton vs (2) Butler- 9:30, FS1: This should be a fun Semifinals. Justin Patton will keep the Jays in this game, but give me the Bulldogs to advance.
Prediction: Butler

Championship
3/11- (2) Butler vs (1) Villanova- 5:30, FOX: This should be a fun championship game. The Bulldogs swept the Wildcats in the regular season, but I like the Cats to get revenge and possibly get the number one overall seed in the NCAA tournament.
Prediction: Villanova
