Here are my predictions for day two of the second round of the 2017 NCAA tournament.
3/19- (MW7) Michigan vs (MW2) Louisville; 12:10, CBS: This should be an excellent game between two really good teams. The defense of the Cardinals will be the difference along with Donovan Mitchell hitting big shots down the stretch.
Prediction: Louisville
3/19- (S10) Wichita State vs (S2) Kentucky; 2:40, CBS: Here we have a rematch from 2014 when eight seeded Kentucky beat undefeated Wichita State. This time around, I see something similar to last time and that's the Wildcats defeating the Shockers in an entertaining and close game.
Prediction: Kentucky
3/19- (MW9) Michigan State vs (MW1) Kansas; 5:15, CBS: This game is going to be outstanding. The way Sparty beat the Miami Hurricanes was really impressive, but I see them falling short against the Jayhawks in a close one.
Prediction: Kansas
3/19- (S8) Arkansas vs (S1) North Carolina; 6:10, TNT: The Razor Backs got away with a flagrant foul in their game against the Seton Hall Pirates or else they may not be in this position. Expect Justin Jackson and the Tar Heels to cruise.
Prediction: North Carolina
3/19- (MW11) Rhode Island vs (MW3) Oregon; 7:10, TBS: This game is very intriguing due to the fact the Rams are finally healthy and playing great and the Ducks are shorthanded. I really love EC Matthews and the Rams to pull off the upset here, but a Ducks win won't surprise me at all.
Prediction: Rhode Island
3/19- (E11) USC vs (E3) Baylor; 7:40, truTV: This game is very compelling as well. The Bears looked great in their first round matchup and the Trojans pulled off yet another come from behind win. I really like the Trojans to pull out an upset here.
Prediction: USC
3/19- (E7) South Carolina vs (E2) Duke; 8:40, TNT: The fact the game is in Greenville will help the Gamecocks, but Luke Kennard, Grayson Allen, Jayson Tatum, and the Blue Devils will be too much for the Cocks.
Prediction: Duke
3/19- (S6) Cincinnati vs (S3) UCLA; 9:40, TBS: I really like this matchup. This game will be closer than people think, but Lonzo Ball and the Bruins will be too much for the Bearcats.
Prediction: UCLA
