2015 MLB Midseason Awards

Here are my midseason awards for the 2015 MLB season.

American League
Most Valuable Player- Josh Donaldson, Toronto Blue Jays: Donaldson has been incredible this season by hitting .301 with 21 homeruns and 60 RBI's for the Jays. This was one of the best acquisitions of the offseason and it's paying off big time. Yes, the Jays currently stand at .500 (44-44) as a team, but they are still in the hunt in the American League East and Wild Card races and Donaldson is one of the biggest reasons why.
Runner up: Mike Trout, Los Angeles Angels

Cy Young- Dallas Keuchel, Houston Astros: Keuchel had a great season last year, has had an even better year this year, which is Cy Young worthy. He has an 11-3 record with a 2.14 ERA and has emerged as the ace of the surprising American League West leading Astros pitching staff over the last year. Expect Keuchel to keep this going.
Runner up: Sonny Gray, Oakland Athletics

Rookie of the Year- Carlos Correa, Houston Astros: Yes, Correa has not have been up very long, but he has been the best rookie in the American League since he's been called up. He is hitting .283 with 7 homeruns and 19 RBI's for the surprising Astros. Expect Correa to be a big factor down the stretch for the Astros.
Runner up: Lance McCullers, Houston Astros

Manager of the Year- AJ Hinch, Houston Astros: Hinch has done exceptionally well in his first season managing the most surprising team in the league. He has them sitting on top of the American League West with a 49-38 record. The Astros are here to stay for now and years to come and hiring Hinch certainly was the right move.
Runner up: Paul Molitor, Minnesota Twins

National League
Most Valuable Player- Bryce Harper, Washington Nationals: Harper is finally living up to his potential and high expectations he was given. He is hitting .343 with 25 homeruns and 60 RBI's for the National League East leading Nationals. Harper is clearly the Nationals best player and expect him to continue his career year.
Runner up: Paul Goldschmidt, Arizona Diamondbacks

Cy Young- Zack Greinke, Los Angeles Dodgers: Clayton Kershaw hasn't been the best pitcher on the Dodgers this season. Insert Greinke to that title Kershaw usually holds. Greinke has been incredible this season with a 7-2 record and an a dazzling 1.48 ERA. The Dodgers have a thin rotation behind Kershaw and Greinke because of injuries to Hyun-Jin Ryu and Brandon McCarthy and the pressure is on Greinke to continue this.
Runner up: Max Scherzer, Washington Nationals

Rookie of the Year- Kris Bryant, Chicago Cubs: Bryant has been great this year for a Cubs team that's in contention for the National League Wild Card. He is hitting .275 with 12 homeruns and 50 RBI's for the Cubs. Expect Bryant to continue to play well and for his power numbers to get better as the season goes on.
Runner up: Joc Pederson, Los Angeles Dodgers

Manager of the Year- Joe Maddon, Chicago Cubs: This Cubs team has exceeded expectations this season so far that it's come to the point where if they miss the playoffs it would be a disappointment because you figure the front office will make a trade deadline move. The Cubs are currently holding on to the second Wild Card spot in the National League with a 46-38 record. Maddon deserves a lot of credit for that.
Runner up: Mike Matheny, St. Louis Cardinals
