2021 NFL Mock Draft: Final Edition

Here is my final edition of my 2021 NFL Mock Draft.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars- Trevor Lawrence, Quarterback, Clemson: This is about as a slam dunk of a draft pick that there has been since perhaps Andrew Luck going first overall in 2012. It may take some time, but there's a chance that Lawrence and Urban Meyer can make the Jaguars a formidable franchise for the next decade and a half.

2. New York Jets- Zach Wilson, Quarterback, BYU: This selection has felt like a lock for a few months now after six months ago many people thought this was going to be Justin Fields. Wilson, coming off a breakout season in college would really fit fell in new offensive coordinator Mike LeFleur's offense with his tremendous arm talent.

3. San Francisco 49ers (from Houston Texans via Miami Dolphins)- Justin Fields, Quarterback, Ohio State: This selection makes all the sense in the world. Speculation although is drawing attention toward Mac Jones and Trey Lance, which the former had a better 2020 season than Fields and the latter saw one game in 2020, but neither have the upside of Fields. His arm talent and accuracy is what should make him get drafted this high.

4. Atlanta Falcons- Kyle Pitts, Tight End, Florida: The Falcons are absolutely a prime trade down candidate with teams trying to move up to select a quarterback or another position of need. Lets say they keep the selection and they use it on Pitts, who would be the pick if the Falcons are trying to extend Matt Ryan's prime as Pitts is perhaps the best tight end prospect since Rob Gronkowski.

5. Cincinnati Bengals- JaMarr Chase, Wide Receiver, LSU: The Bengals have two choices here between offensive tackle Penei Sewell and Chase. You can make a case this is too good to pass up because of Chase's upside and the fact that this reunites him with Joe Burrow, which gives Burrow a slam dunk top weapon that he lacked in his shortened rookie season.

6. Miami Dolphins (from Philadelphia Eagles)- Jaylen Waddle, Wide Receiver, Alabama: The hot rumor at the moment is that the Dolphins prefer Waddle over JaMarr Chase, which seems pretty wild, but at the same time not really due to the fact Chase opted out last season. Despite being injured last season, Waddle showed so much electricity in his game with his speed and ability to get open as this selection reunites Waddle with Tua Tagovailoa.

7. Detroit Lions- Penei Sewell, Offensive Tackle, Oregon: The Lions are an obvious trade down candidate due to the fact that they are enduring a rebuild. If they stay put, take the best player available which is Sewell at this point. The Lions need some protection for Jared Goff and whomever could be their long term guy a few years down the road so this would be the logical pick, despite other needs.

8. Carolina Panthers- Patrick Surtain II, Cornerback, Alabama: It's going to be very interesting to see where the Panthers go with this selection and it would not surprise me if they also trade down. Surtain would be a nice fit here as cornerback is a position of need, although a tackle would not surprise me either.

9. Denver Broncos- Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina: With the acquisition of Teddy Bridgewater, people will assume that a quarterback here is out of the question. Despite me slotting Horn here, I do think a quarterback is in play here. Horn is someone that has serious potential and he did a great job against SEC competition in his collegiate career.

10. Dallas Cowboys- Rashawn Slater, Offensive Tackle, Northwestern: This is really a curve ball of a selection as everyone thought a cornerback was going to be it at this spot, well really Patrick Sutain II. The Cowboys offensive line is not what it once was the last five years as Tyron Smith is aging and Slater could be the long term replacement down the road here.

11. New York Giants- DeVonta Smith, Wide Receiver, Alabama: The Giants goal this offseason is to provide Daniel Jones all the help in the world to succeed. They complete that goal by taking Smith, who's an all world talent and he and Kenny Golladay instantly become one of the best receiving duos in the entire league and this selection also prevents the division rival Eagles from taking the reigning Heisman winner.

12. Philadelphia Eagles (from San Francisco 49ers via Miami Dolphins)- Kwity Paye, Defensive End, Michigan: With all the top receivers off the board, the Eagles take the edge rusher in Paye. This pick would make sense because Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox aren't getting any younger and the Eagles are a team that likes to roll seven deep in their front seven.

13. Los Angeles Chargers- Christian Darrisaw, Offensive Tackle, Virginia Tech: The Chargers are a team that is closer to contention than folks think. Here I have them taking the talented lineman in Darrisaw, who would provide great protection for Justin Herbert and has the tools to be a Pro Bowl tackle.

14. Minnesota Vikings- Alijah Vera-Tucker, Guard, USC: For the longest time, I've been mocking defensive lineman to this spot. Momentum is changing as the draft approaches and here I have them taking the talented offensive lineman in Vera-Tucker. His versatility is what is making his draft stock rise this high.

15. New England Patriots- Mac Jones, Quarterback, Alabama: This pick would make a ton of sense with Cam Newton on a one year deal and the connection that Bill Belichick and Nick Saban have. What concerns me about Jones is whether last season was who he really is or is he a product of the great talent around him in college. It would not shock me if the Pats moved up for a quarterback or stayed put here and took a different position on either side of the ball.

16. Arizona Cardinals- Greg Newsome, Cornerback, Northwestern: Newsome is somebody thats stock is rising with the draft coming up on Thursday. With the loss of Patrick Peterson, this pick would make a lot of sense as Newsome would come in and replace him with his great overall skill set.

17. Las Vegas Raiders- Jamin Davis, Linebacker, Kentucky: Every year, it seems like the Raiders over draft players in the first round and there is a case to be made that it could be Davis. He is somebody who's very talented and stock is rising because of it as well as his athleticism and speed which can cause havoc.

18. Miami Dolphins- Micah Parsons, Linebacker, Penn State: This would be a fantastic pick by the Dolphins, who need a lot of help on the defensive side of the ball sans adding a lot of pieces in free agency a year ago. Parsons would become the quarterback of that defense with his ability to rush the passer as well.

19. Washington Football Team- Elijah Moore, Wide Receiver, Ole Miss: Washington is a team that can go in a number of directions. Moore is someone getting last minute hype as a potential first round pick. Washington needs someone else other than Terry McLaurin that could make big plays down the field.

20. Chicago Bears- Trey Lance, Quarterback, North Dakota State: I don't project trades in mock drafts and with this mock I have Lance dropping this far to the point the Bears cannot simply pass up. Andy Dalton is not the long term answer and Lance would be interesting as he can sit behind Dalton for a season and learn under him and then take over eventually.

21. Indianapolis Colts- Tevin Jenkins, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma State: This would be a logical pick for the Colts, who need a tackle with Anthony Costanzo retiring. Jenkins is somebody who's stock is rising with the draft coming up in two days due to his clean footwork and knows what to do in space.

22. Tennessee Titans- Rashod Bateman, Wide Receiver, Minnesota: The Titans over the past few mocks I've done have been given a pass rusher. A wide receiver here makes a lot of sense too with the loss of Corey Davis that they must replace. Bateman is someone that can play om the outside or in slot so he and AJ Brown can work together well.

23. New York Jets (from Seattle Seahawks)- Caleb Farley, Cornerback, Virginia Tech: This would be a steal for the Jets as Farley is somebody that was being mocked as a top ten pick not long ago. Farley's injury issues and the fact he opted out last season is what causing his fall down boards.

24. Pittsburgh Steelers- Najee Harris, Running Back, Alabama: Another hot rumor as the draft is nine days away is that the Steelers are eyeing a running back with their first round pick as they are trying for one last hurrah with Ben Rothlisberger. Harris is someone that is a three down back and would be an upgrade over the departed James Conner.

25. Jacksonville Jaguars (from Los Angeles Rams)- Jalean Phillips, Defensive End, Miami: The Jaguars can go in a numerous number of directions here, but here I have them taking the talented edge rusher in Phillips. This pick will ultimately look like a hit or a miss based on whether he remains on the field or not and his health is what have some teams weary.

26. Cleveland Browns- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Linebacker, Notre Dame: This would be a nice fit for the Browns as they go with a position of need. Owusu-Koramoah is somebody that can play three downs and provides versatility and is super athletic.

27. Baltimore Ravens- Jayson Oweh, Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Penn State: The Ravens have some options here with this selection. Oweh makes a lot of sense here as they need to replace Yannick Ngakoue and Matt Judon on their pass rush. Oweh was overshadowed on James Franklin's defense due to the presence of Micah Parsons as he was a great player as well.

28. New Orleans Saints- Zaven Collins, Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Tulsa: Collins is someone thats getting a lot of love at the back end of the first round as the draft approaches. Collins would provide the Saints solid versatility and rushes the passer very well.

29. Green Bay Packers- Landon Dickerson, Center, Alabama: This would be somewhat of a curveball as many expect teammate Alex Leatherwood to go in the late first-early second. Dickerson is getting some first round buzz despite health concerns as he is someone that can start right away and in this scenario, he can start at center and Elgton Jenkins can play guard.

30. Buffalo Bills- Rondale Moore, Wide Receiver, Purdue: Moore is somebody I felt was overshadowed in this draft class due to the presence of the Big Three receivers taken earlier in the draft. Moore is somebody that is physical and would really be a nice long term piece for Josh Allen.

31. Baltimore Ravens (from Kansas City Chiefs)- Samuel Cosmi, Offensive Tackle, Texas: With the pick they received from the Chiefs in the Orlando Brown trade, they replace Brown with Cosmi. I look at Cosmi as a second round pick, but I understand this selection due to his need and plus he has potential to be a longtime starter in the league.

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Trevon Moehrig, Safety, TCU: The Buccaneers really don't have any needs in particular, so the could very well go with whom they feel is the best player available. Moehrig is someone that I felt was overshadowed due to playing in the Big-12, but he really has shown explosiveness from the position and he could potentially be an upgrade over starter Jordan Whitehead.

2021 NFL Mock Draft: Eighth Edition

Here is my eighth edition of my 2021 NFL Mock Draft.

3. San Francisco 49ers- Mac Jones, Quarterback, Alabama: Jones, Justin Fields, and Trey Lance will be the talk of the town regarding this pick. This time I'm rolling with Jones with this selection as speculation continues on which quarterback the Niners will take here. There are some out there that feel that Jones was a product of the great talent around him in college and others that believe his Senior season was no fluke.

5. Cincinnati Bengals- Penei Sewell, Offensive Tackle, Oregon: This should absolutely be the pick for the Bengals if they stay at five, although selecting Joe Burrow's former teammate JaMarr Chase would entice the team. Protection for Burrow is needed after the offensive line failed him last season, which resulted in the ACL injury that ended Burrow's promising rookie season.

6. Miami Dolphins (from Philadelphia Eagles)- JaMarr Chase, Wide Receiver, LSU: The Dolphins coming away with Chase or Kyle Pitts would be a major win for the team, especially Tua Tagovaiola. Chase is someone who opted out a season ago, which some think may hurt his draft stock, but the talent and upside is really at a high level which will be hard for the Dolphins and other teams to pass up on.

7. Detroit Lions- Jaylen Waddle, Wide Receiver, Alabama: This would be an interesting decision for the Lions whether to stay at seven and take the player of their choice or they trade down and gain assets, which is what they should do. If they do the former and stay put, Waddle would be a solid choice due to the Lions lack of weapons on offense as he would provide some electric play with his great route running and speed.

8. Carolina Panthers- Rashawn Slater, Offensive Tackle, Northwestern: The Panthers have options with this selection and although some mocks have them addressing their cornerback situation, they should focus this selection to help Sam Darnold succeed. Slater is somebody that would immediately make the Panthers offensive line better due to his versatility.

9. Denver Broncos- Justin Fields, Quarterback, Ohio State: John Elway would be ecstatic if Fields fell down to his lap. He is someone who was seen as a lock to go second overall in the fall, but his stock dropped due to inconsistencies during a shortened Big-10 season. If Fields were to land here, the Broncos would join the Chiefs and Chargers for division supremacy for years to come.

10. Dallas Cowboys- Patrick Sutain II, Cornerback, Alabama: The Cowboys have been linked to Sutain for quite a while now due to their dire need at the position. Sutain is somebody that has been battle tested a lot in college and has the physicality and ball skills to be successful as they finally replace Byron Jones.

12. Philadelphia Eagles (from San Francisco 49ers via Miami Dolphins)- Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina: With the big three receivers off the board, Eagles take another position of need in cornerback. Horn is somebody is that really has shown ability to play well against elite competition being in the SEC and he's someone that could really help them against the talented NFC East receivers.

14. Minnesota Vikings- Kwity Paye, Defensive End, Michigan: The Vikings have a choice here and most people believe they'll go with a lineman, but the question is what side of the ball? Here I have them going with the talented pass rusher in Paye, who really would give the Vikings insurance incase they lose Danielle Hunter in the future with his status up in the air.

15. New England Patriots- Trey Lance, Quarterback, North Dakota State: The Patriots should not take a quarterback with this pick, unless they make a bold move and move up for Justin Fields due to the fact that their offseason moves indicate that they want to return to Super Bowl contender status. Lance to the Pats has been a popular take of late and if anyone could help develop Lance into his potential not many saw, it's Bill Belichick.

16. Arizona Cardinals- Alijah Vera-Tucker, Offensive Tackle, USC: This would be a solid choice for the Cardinals, who can use some offensive line help to protect Kyler Murray. With the recent retirement of Marcus Gilbert, Vera-Tucker can come in and replace him with his versatility.

17. Las Vegas Raiders- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Linebacker, Notre Dame: This would be a solid selection for Jon Gruden and Company as they select a position of need pick with Owusu-Koramoah. He will provide exactly what new defensive coordinator Gus Bradley would like- speed, athleticism, and cover ability.

18. Miami Dolphins- Najee Harris, Running Back, Alabama: The Dolphins should go defense and address the pass rush with this selection, if not trade down. I don't love Harris being picked this high, but the match isn't a bad one. The Dolphins running backs weren't great last season and Harris has the ability to find holes through offensive lines and he would reunite with Tua Tagovailoa in this scenario.

19. Washington Football Team- Micah Parsons, Outside Linebacker, Penn State: This would be a major steal for Washington as they make a solid pass rush unit even better. Parsons's character issues is what has teams weary and it could cause him to drop in this draft.

20. Chicago Bears- Caleb Farley, Cornerback, Virginia Tech: This would be a solid pick for the Bears, who have options here with this pick as they can pick whatever hole on their roster they have. Farley opted out last season and that combined with the back surgery he had makes this a risky pick, which could be a great pick if he is healthy and produces up to capability.

22. Tennessee Titans- Azeez Ojulari, Defensive End, Georgia: This would be a solid pick for the Titans, who need help on their pass rush. New addition Bud Dupree cannot do it alone and Ojulari is someone who got better every year in college and is someone that is versatile.

23. New York Jets (from Seattle Seahawks)- Trevon Moehrig, Safety, TCU: The Jets have a lot of holes on their roster and they can go anywhere with this pick. Moehrig is somebody that I felt was overshadowed due to playing in the Big-12 and he and Marcus Maye would be a nice duo.

24. Pittsburgh Steelers- Jayson Oweh, Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Penn State: The Steelers have some options here with this pick and here I have them snagging the in state talent in Oweh. He provides versatility that the team lacks and would help replace the free agent loss of Bud Dupree.

25. Jacksonville Jaguars- Wyatt Davis, Offensive Tackle, Ohio State: Davis here at 25 would be a major reach and there are better offensive lineman available in theory of this mock draft. Davis is somebody that obviously has ties to Urban Meyer with Ohio State which would make this match possible.

26. Cleveland Browns- Christian Barmore, Defensive Tackle, Alabama: The Browns are a team that don't have that many holes on their roster. Barmore is somebody that would bolster their interior of their defensive line and help Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney get their sacks.

27. Baltimore Ravens- Jalean Phillips, Defensive End, Miami: This would be a solid pick for the Ravens, depending on whether Phillips remains on the field or not. Pass rush is a need for the Ravens with the departures of Yannick Ngakoue and Matt Judon, which makes this pick realistic.

28. New Orleans Saints- Greg Newsome, Cornerback, Northwestern: Newsome you can make a case would be a steal at this point considering people are projecting Newsome to go in the mod to high teens-low twenties. His overall skill set is what will make teams excited.

29. Green Bay Packers- Rondale Moore, Wide Receiver, Purdue: The Packers finally get Aaron Rodgers a weapon as a first round pick! Moore is someone I feel that is super underrated heading into the draft due to his inconsistencies, but he does "check all the boxes" in terms of what teams look for in drafting players.

30. Buffalo Bills- Asante Samuel Jr, Cornerback, Florida State: The Bills to me are a trade down candidate due to their lack of needs and teams in the top of the second round potentially trading back into the end of the first. Samuel Jr is someone who I feel is underrated and him and Tre White is a nice duo.

31. Baltimore Ravens (from Kansas City Chiefs)- Alex Weatherwood, Offensive Tackle/Guard, Alabama: With the trading of Orlando Brown, they replace him with here with the pick they acquired in the trade with the Chiefs. Weatherwood is a plug and play guy as he's versatile and you can make a case he should go higher than this.

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Gregory Rousseau, Defensive End, Miami: Six months ago, folks looked at Rousseau as a top ten pick lock and boy has he fallen. The Bucs brought the band back together to get the best quarterback of all time his eight ring, but a few of their defensive lineman are set to be free agents in a year so this pick makes sense as Rousseau can learn from these veterans and then become a starter afterwards.

2021 NFL Mock Draft: Seventh Edition

Here is my seventh edition of my 2021 NFL Mock Draft.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars- Trevor Lawrence, Quarterback, Clemson: This is about as a slam dunk of a draft pick that there has been since perhaps Andrew Luck going first overall in 2012. It may take some time, but there's a chance that Lawrence and Urban Meyer can make the Jaguars a formitable franchise for the next decade and a half.

Speculation although is drawing attention toward Mac Jones, who had a better 2020 season than Fields, but doesn't have the upside of Fields.

7. Detroit Lions- Rashawn Slater, Offensive Tackle, Northwestern: The Lions are a team that should absolutely trade down because they have a rebuild ahead of themselves. If they keep the pick, Slater would be a solid choice here because they have a need on the offensive line and Slater is someone that is versatile and would provide Jared Goff some protection.

8. Carolina Panthers- Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina: The Panthers have some options here as they can go with a wide receiver to help out Sam Darnold (as well as a lineman) or a cornerback, which is a position of need. Here I have them doing the latter as the Panthers land themselves somebody who's shown great ability against strong competition in SEC play.

9. Denver Broncos- Trey Lance, Quarterback, North Dakota State: This would be a very risky selection by the Broncos, who have been looking for an upgrade over Drew Lock pretty much all offseason. Lance is somebody that we really haven't seen much of over the past season due to the FCS season being held in both the fall and the spring and we only saw one game of Lance in an exhibition.

12. Philadelphia Eagles (from San Francisco 49ers via Miami Dolphins)- Jaylen Waddle, Wide Receiver, Alabama: One pick after DeVonta Smith goes his teammate in Waddle to a different NFC East club. Waddle is somebody that the Eagles would be thrilled with due to their lack of top wideouts on their roster as they reunite Waddle with his former quarterback in Jalen Hurts.

17. Las Vegas Raiders- Tevin Jenkins, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma State: The Raiders bigger needs lie on the defensive side of the ball, but they also can use a lineman with some losses on the line this offseason. Jenkins is someone who's stock is rising and this pick would scream a classic Raiders pick in which they overdraft of a position of need.

18. Miami Dolphins- Jalean Phillips, Defensive End, Miami: Here we have a home coming of some sort with Phillips staying in Miami and getting picked by the Dolphins. The team has a need on the pass rush and what could possibly hold Phillips back is his health.

21. Indianapolis Colts- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Linebacker, Notre Dame: Offensive line is a need due to the retirement of Anthony Costanzo, but here I have them grabbing the talented linebacker. Owuso-Koramoah along with Darius Leonard and DeForest Buckner in the same front seven would create havoc for opponents.

22. Tennessee Titans- Azeez Ojulari, Defensive End, Georgia: This would be a solid pick for the Titans, who need help on their pass rush. New addition Bud Dupree cannot do it alone and Ojulari is someone who got better every year in college and is someone that is versatile.

23. New York Jets (from Seattle Seahawks)- Najee Harris, Running Back, Alabama: The Jets have a lot of options here and here I have them snagging the talented running back in Harris. I don't love the idea of taking Harris here, but it's not inconceivable due to his great playmaking and ability to find holes to run.

24. Pittsburgh Steelers- Alijah Vera-Tucker, Offensive Tackle, USC: This would be a great pick for the Steelers, who need to replace Alejandro Villanueva on their offensive line (assuming they don't bring him back). Vera-Tucker is somebody that is versatile and will help Ben Rothlisberger stay upright.

27. Baltimore Ravens- Rashod Bateman, Wide Receiver, Minnesota: Now with two first round picks, the Ravens go with the talented wideout in Bateman. This would be a nice fit and Bateman would complement Marquise Brown very well with his versatility with his ability to play slot or outside.

28. New Orleans Saints- Zaven Collins, Outside Linebacker, Tulsa: The Saints roll with the talented linebacker in Collins, who need some youth at the position with DeMario Davis aging. Collins has the size of a defensive end and the speed and athleticism to succeed at the next level.

2021 NFL Mock Draft: Sixth Edition

Here is my sixth edition of my 2021 NFL Mock Draft.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars- Trevor Lawrence, Quarterback, Clemson: This is as big of a slam dunk as Joe Burrow to Cincinnati at this time a year ago, but maybe even bigger. Lawrence is someone that along with the presence of Urban Meyer that will rejuvenate this franchise for years to come. Lawrence is the best quarterback prospect since perhaps Peyton Manning in 1998.

2. New York Jets- Zach Wilson, Quarterback, BYU: This pick seems like a lock at this point as well as Wilson wasn't even considered the consensus number two pick six months ago. Despite not playing for a power conference school, Wilson really had a dominant senior season after being inconsistent before than.

3. San Francisco 49ers (from Houston Texans via Miami Dolphins)- Mac Jones, Quarterback, Alabama: Jones and Justin Fields will be the talk of the town regarding this pick. This time I'm rolling with Jones with this selection as speculation continues on which quarterback the Niners will take here. There are some out there that feel that Jones was a product of the great talent around him in college and others that believe his Senior season was no fluke.

4. Atlanta Falcons- Kyle Pitts, Tight End, Florida: The Falcons are open to trading down in this first round and I feel they should absolutely entertain offers. I can see Pitts being there selection whether it's here or down a few spots (if he is still on the board). Pitts is the best tight end prospect since Rob Gronkowski due to his route running and opposing defense's inability to stop him.

5. Cincinnati Bengals- Penei Sewell, Offensive Tackle, Oregon: This is absolutely what the Bengals should do here as they land themselves a stud for years to come. The offensive line was a huge weakness as it failed to protect Joe Burrow in his promising rookie season, which came to an abrupt end due to the ACL injury. Burrow probably wants the team to take his former teammate Ja'Marr Chase, but getting protection is more important.

6. Miami Dolphins (from Philadelphia Eagles)- Ja'Marr Chase, Wide Receiver, LSU: This would be a tremendous pick for the Dolphins, who need more weapons around Tua Tagovaiola. Chase is arguably the best wideout prospect since Julio Jones or even Calvin Johnson and he would make Tua a better quarterback.

7. Detroit Lions- DeVonta Smith, Wide Receiver, Alabama: The Lions should seriously consider trading down from this spot due to the fact they could be in for a long rebuild. Smith is someone that won't be easy passing up on due to the fact that he is coming off the greatest collegiate season ever form a wideout and he'll really give Jared Goff a much needed target.

8. Carolina Panthers- Jaylen Waddle, Wide Receiver, Alabama: The Panthers should really focus this pick on offense as they need more around Sam Darnold. As much as Rashawn Slater makes sense here, Waddle does too as the Panthers could use some speed and good route running on the perimeter.

10. Dallas Cowboys- Patrick Sutain II, Cornerback, Alabama: One of the more popular mock draft picks is Sutain to Dallas and for good reason. The Cowboys have needs everywhere on defense and Sutain could come in and start right away for them as they finally have a replacement for Byron Jones.

11. New York Giants- Rashawn Slater, Offensive Tackle, Northwestern: The Giants goal this offseason was to give Daniel Jones all the resources to succeed. They continue on that promise by taking the versatile lineman in Slater, whom is rising up draft boards and there is talk he may go before Penei Sewell, which would be insane to some.

12. Philadelphia Eagles (from San Francisco 49ers via Miami Dolphins)- Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina: With the big three wideouts all gone, the Eagles turn their attention to another need in corner. Horn is someone that was tremendous against great SEC competition in the past and I can see him being an impact guy against the great NFC East wideouts if the Eagles are the landing spot.

13. Los Angeles Chargers- Christian Darrisaw, Offensive Tackle, Virginia Tech: This would be a very good pick for the Chargers, who need to get protection for Justin Herbert. Darrisaw would really make the Chargers offensive line a strength at left tackle with his run blocking ability and versatility.

14. Minnesota Vikings- Kwity Paye, Defensive End, Michigan: The Vikings are a bit of an unknown here, but I think they should go improve one of the offensive or defensive lines. The latter is the choice here and Paye is someone that had a great Pro Day performance and is draft stock is rising due to it.

16. Arizona Cardinals- Caleb Farley, Cornerback, Virginia Tech: The Cardinals take a selection of need here with Farley as they need to replace Patrick Peterson in that secondary. Farley opted out last season and that combined with injury issues from the past is what could cause him to potentially drop into the twenties.

19. Washington Football Team- Alijah Vera-Tucker, Offensive Tackle/Guard, USC: This would be a solid pick for Washington considering they badly need help on the offensive line. Vera-Tucker provides versatility and would finally help replace the void left by Trent Williams.

20. Chicago Bears- Greg Newsome II, Cornerback, Northwestern: The Bears have some glaring needs on their roster and corner is one of them. Newsome is someone that will come in and start for the Bears right away due to his athleticism, size, and length and will replace the released Kyle Fuller.

21. Indianapolis Colts- Azeez Ojulari, Defensive End, Georgia: The Colts decide to go with pass rush with this pick and choose someone underrated in Ojulari. What makes Ojulari attractive is his versatility and able to do many things on the field.

22. Tennessee Titans- Jalean Phillips, Defensive End, Miami: This would be a nice pick for the Titans considering they need pass rushing help, even with the addition of Bud Dupree. Phillips some feel is the best at his position in his draft when healthy considering past injury history is why he could be available here.

23. New York Jets (from Seattle Seahawks)- Tevin Jenkins, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma State: Assuming Zach Wilson is the selection at two, the Jets need to help protect him at all costs. Jenkins is someone who's stock is rising with a week ago until the draft and he and Mehki Becton could be the tackles of the future for the Jets.

25. Jacksonville Jaguars (from Los Angeles Rams)- Trevon Moehrig, Safety, TCU: Here I have the Jags adding to their young asset collection on defense with Moehrig. I always felt that Moehrig was overshadowed due to playing in the Big-12 and he is super athletic and would be a nice fit in the Jags young defense.

26. Cleveland Browns- Jamin Davis, Linebacker, Kentucky: With a week to go until the draft, one of the fastest risers on the defensive side of the ball is Davis. His size and athleticism will intrigue teams and the Browns could use a linebacker to improve that unit.

27. Baltimore Ravens- Rashod Bateman, Wide Receiver, Minnesota: The Ravens could go in any direction here and here I have them snagging the talented receiver in Bateman. His big play ability and being a red zone threat is something that Lamar Jackson and this offense can use.

28. New Orleans Saints- Zaven Collins, Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Tulsa: Collins is someone thats getting a lot of love at the back end of the first round as the draft approaches. In what is a homecoming scenario in this pick, Collins would provide the Saints solid versatility and rushes the passer very well.

29. Green Bay Packers- Kadarius Toney, Wide Receiver, Florida: The Packers do what they should have done in the first round of last years draft- take a playmaker to help out Aaron Rodgers. Toney is someone that was overshadowed in Florida's offense due to the presence of Kyle Pitts and he could become their second wideout behind De'Vante Adams.

30. Buffalo Bills- Jayson Oweh, Defensive End, Penn State: Oweh is someone who I feel is one of the more underrated pass rushers in this draft and was overshadowed in college due to the presence of Micah Parsons. Oweh would provide much needed youth on the Bills pass rush.

31. Kansas City Chiefs- Alex Weatherwood, Offensive Tackle, Alabama: The Chiefs are a team in dire-need of offensive line reinforcements after releasing Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz. Weatherwood would be a great option here as he has been battle-tested in college several times and could start right away.

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Christian Barmore, Defensive Tackle, Alabama: The Bucs really do not have any needs as they are brigning the band back together, trying to get eight for the greatest quarterback of all time. I can see Barmore being the pick here for depth purposes and Ndamukong Suh isn't getting any younger.

2021 NFL Mock Draft: Fifth Edition

Here is the fifth edition of my 2021 NFL Mock Draft.

3. San Francisco 49ers (from Houston Texans via Miami Dolphins)- Justin Fields, Quarterback, Ohio State: The past few weeks, many people were speculating that Mac Jones was the target for San Francisco. Some folks out there are saying, "they gave up THAT MUCH for Mac Jones?!?" The 49ers saw Fields's second workout which had people speculate that Fields could be the guy here, which makes so much more sense due to his tremendous upside and pedigree.

5. Cincinnati Bengals- Ja'Marr Chase, Wide Receiver, LSU: The Bengals should take Penei Sewell here to sure up their offensive line, but passing on Joe Burrow's former  college teammate might be a hard thing to do. Chase has tremendous upside and would instantly become Burrow's top option again- except in the pro's this time.

6. Miami Dolphins (from Philadelphia Eagles)- Jaylen Waddle, Wide Receiver, Alabama: Similar to the previous pick in this mock, I have a former college quarterback-wide receiver duo reunion. This time, it's Tua Tagovaiola and Waddle reuniting as the Dolphins get Tua a top wideout with tremendous speed and runs great routes.

7. Detroit Lions- Penei Sewell, Offensive Tackle, Oregon: The Lions should be a team open to trading down here because of themselves being in what could be a lengthy rebuild, but passing on a franchise tackle in Sewell won't be easy to pass up on. Sewell will instantly make the Lions offensive line better and would help keep Jared Goff upright.

8. Carolina Panthers- Patrick Sutain II, Cornerback, Alabama: The Panthers have some options here with this selection. Despite going all defense a year ago in the draft, Sutain would be a nice fit here as the Panthers need secondary help after some free agent losses.

9. Denver Broncos- Mac Jones, Quarterback Alabama: The Broncos are rumored not to be in love with Drew Lock and were sniffing around veterans. Why not take a shot at Jones, who showed tremendous potential in his Senior season at Alabama, although some question whether Jones was a product of great talent around him or not.

10. Dallas Cowboys- Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina: Patrick Sutain II has been the hot name mocked to Dallas in most mock drafts, but here I have them taking Horn. I feel that Horn was super underrated in college due to playing on a bad team, but he's someone that has done outstanding against great SEC competition in the past.

12. Philadelphia Eagles (from San Francisco 49ers via Miami Dolphins)- DeVonta Smith, Wide Receiver, Alabama: The Eagles have to be delighted here to have Smith fall into their laps. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner in this scenario is reunited with former college teammate Jalen Hurts as Hurts has his new top option as his former top option at Alabama.

16. Arizona Cardinals- Micah Parsons, Linebacker, Penn State: If this were to be the case, this would be the second draft in a row where a top linebacker falls into the Cardinals lap. Parsons is somebody that would have been a top five pick if he didn't opt out this past season. Parsons and Isiah Simmons would be a nice pair of linebackers if they play up to potential.

17. Las Vegas Raiders- Alijah Vera-Tucker, Guard/Offensive Tackle, USC: Most people are projecting the Raiders to go defense here, but they would be wise to go offensive line here as well due to some offseason departures. Vera-Tucker is someone that would really help the interior, if he is to play there, but his versatility is what makes him attractive.

18. Miami Dolphins- Jaelan Phillips, Defensive End, Miami: Here is a homecoming scenario as Phillips gets to stay in Miami and play for the Dolphins. This would be a nice pick since the Dolphins are in dire need for young blood on their pass rush. What could have teams have pause on Phillips is his injury history, but if he remains healthy, those concerns will go away.

19. Washington Football Team- Zaven Collins, Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Tulsa: Washington has some options here and I think a trade down or even up is in play too. Collins is someone that was overshadowed due to playing at Tulsa, but he would certainly make an already decent front seven even better.

20. Chicago Bears- Greg Newsome II, Cornerback, Northwestern: The Bears have some glaring needs on their roster and corner is one of them. Newsome is someone that will come in and start for the Bears right away due to his athleticism, size, and length and will replace the released Kyle Fuller.

21. Indianapolis Colts- Teven Jenkins, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma State: With the retirement of Anthony Costanzo, the Colts now have a hole on their offensive line. Jenkins is someone who's stock is rising with the draft coming up in nine days as he moves his feet well and in space, which would help Carson Wentz.

22. Tennessee Titans- Carlos Grasham, Defensive End, Wake Forest: Grasham would be looked upon as a reach for many, but the fit here is fine. The Titans have a need in their pass rush even with the addition of Bud Dupree as he can't do it alone and Grasham would start here right away alongside Dupree.

26. Cleveland Browns- Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Linebacker, Notre Dame: This would be a nice fit for the Browns as they go with a position of need. Owusu-Koramoah is somebody that can play three downs and provides versatility and is super athletic.

27. Baltimore Ravens- Rashod Bateman, Wide Receiver, Minnesota: The Ravens could go in any direction here and here I have them snagging the talented receiver in Bateman. His big play ability and being a red zone threat is something that Lamar Jackson and this offense can use.

28. New Orleans Saints- Terrance Marshall, Wide Receiver, LSU: Marshall is someone that is just flat out underrated due to being in a loaded wide receiver draft class and was overshadowed by Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson in his collegiate career. Marshall would really help the Saints offense as they need to replace Emmanuel Sanders.

29. Green Bay Packers- Jamin Davis, Linebacker, Kentucky: Davis I feel is one of the more underrated players in this entire draft, reminding me of former Texas Tech Red Raider and current Seahawks linebacker Jordin Brooks. The Packers lack a difference maker in the middle of their defense and Davis could be that.

30. Buffalo Bills- Asante Samuel Jr, Cornerback, Florida State: The Bills are a bit of a wild card as they can go with numerous positions or possibly trade out. Samuel is someone that reminds folks of Jaire Alexander and if he's even a poor mans version, he and Tre White would be a great cornerback duo.

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Azeez Ojulari, Defensive End, Georgia: The Buccaneers really don't have any needs as they are bringing the band back together to try for a repeat. Ojulari makes sense here because Jason Pierre-Paul isn't getting any younger and they don't have much depth behind him and Shaq Barrett as Ojulari can play some snaps and work his way to being a full time starter down the road.

2021 WNBA Mock Draft

Here is my 2021 WNBA Mock Draft as the draft will be held tomorrow, April 15th, 2021. It will be virtual for the second consecutive season.

1. Dallas Wings (from New York Liberty)- Charli Collier, Center, Texas: Collier is the consensus choice to go first overall as the draft approaches. She is a double-double machine and would be a nice building block for the Wings going forward.

2. Dallas Wings- Awak Kuier, Power Forward, Finland: The Wings complete their future front court here with this selection of the Finnish product. Kuier's success has gone under the radar due to being overseas but she really has the potential of being a star being compared to Candace Parker.

3. Atlanta Dream- Arella Guirantes, Shooting Guard, Rutgers: Guirantes is the best Lady Knights player to be drafted in some time and she would be a great pick here. Her scoring is what she's known for, but her all around game is what makes here a highly regarded prospect coming into the draft.

4. Indiana Fever- Rennia Davis, Small Forward, Tennessee: This would be a solid pick for the Fever, who are still in the building stage. Davis has a solid two-way game, but she must improve on her three point shooting if she is to be a top option on a good team.

5. Dallas Stars (from Washington Mystics)- Aari McDonald, Point Guard, Arizona: Arguably the best player in the NCAA Tournament, the Wings land her with this selection. It would not shock me if Dallas took her second or if someone trades up to grab her at some point in this draft, but she would be a nice add to this young asset collection the Wings would now have.

6. New York Liberty (from Connecticut Sun)- Dana Evans, Point Guard, Louisville: Evans is someone I feel is now under the radar with the flashes Aari McDonald showed in the tournament and with some of the other prospects rising too. Evans and Sabrina Ionsecu would be a nice backcourt in New York.

7. Los Angeles Sparks (from Chicago Sky via Dallas Wings)- Micheala Onyenwere, Small Forward, UCLA: With the loss of Candace Parker, the Sparks now have to replace her somehow. They still have some talent on their roster and Onyenwere would replace some of Parker's scoring and bring some defensive versatility.

8. Chicago Sky (from Phoenix Mercury)- Kiana Williams, Point Guard, Stanford: Williams is yet another talented point guard slated to go in the first round. Williams would be a nice backup for Courtney Vandersloot and she is someone with a good three-point stroke.

9. Minnesota Lynx- Natasha Mack, Power Forward, Oklahoma State: The Lynx have some options here with this selection. Mack is someone that was a double double machine in college and is great at protecting the rim as well.

10. Los Angeles Sparks- Chelsea Dungee, Shooting Guard, Arkansas: The Sparks get a great scorer here in Dungee, who can help replace some scoring lost with Candace Parker out the door. She does need to work on a weakness of hers which is turning the ball over more than recording assists.

11. Seattle Storm- DiJonai Carrington, Shooting Guard, Baylor: The Storm really do not have any needs necessarily, but they get a good bench piece here with Carrington. With the loss of Alysha Clark in free agency, Carrington could replace that defensive presence and also add some scoring punch.

12. Las Vegas Aces- Jasmine Walker, Power Forward, Alabama: This would be a nice pick for the Aces, who don't really need much. She has some good length and could shoot it from three and would be a nice stretch four for the Aces.

2021 NFL Mock Draft: Fourth Edition

Here is the fourth edition of my 2021 NFL Mock Draft.

1. Jacksonville Jaguars- Trevor Lawrence, Quarterback, Clemson: If there wasn't any doubt. Lawrence is perhaps the best quarterback prospect to come out since Peyton Manning and there is no chance that the Jaguars, with Urban Meyer now in town, entertain offers for this pick let alone consider another player with this pick. Lawrence will certainly be someone who will make his teammates better, but the Jags still have other holes to fill on this roster.

2. New York Jets- Zach Wilson, Quarterback, BYU: With the trading of Sam Darnold and supposedly turning down offers for the number two pick, all signs are pointing to the Jets taking a quarterback with this selection. Wilson is the hot name thrown around for this selection and Vegas even believes so with the strong odds they have. That said, this feels like the second most surest bet of the entire draft.

3. San Francisco 49ers (from Houston Texans via Miami Dolphins)- Mac Jones, Quarterback, Alabama: With the 49ers moving up to the third spot, all signs point toward them picking a quarterback that will eventually replace Jimmy Garappolo in the long run. The guy that is the perceived target is Mac Jones, who's stock is absolutely rising with a few weeks to go until the draft as many people have apparently told ESPN's Adam Schefter that The Mac will be The Guy.

4. Atlanta Falcons- Trey Lance, Quarterback, North Dakota State: I can see a world where A) the Falcons trade down and this is the selection a different team makes or B) the Falcons select Lance to be Matt Ryan's successor. Lets say this is the latter (and if so), it would be a super risky pick due to the fact we did not see a lot of Lance over the past year and that would put pressure on new coach Arthur Smith to help him develop into what they think his potential is.

5. Cincinnati Bengals- Penei Sewell, Offensive Tackle, Oregon: This would be a tremendous selection for the Bengals, who needs desperate help on their offensive line. I know Joe Burrow would love the team to select his former teammate Ja'Marr Chase to be his top wideout, but the bigger need lies on the line, to help protect Burrow from getting injured again.

6. Miami Dolphins (from Philadelphia Eagles)- Kyle Pitts, Tight End, Florida: The Dolphins turn out to be a winner if this is the scenario as they grab potentially the best offensive weapon in this entire draft. Pitts is arguably the best tight end we've seen since Rob Gronkowski and the Dolphins give Tua a great weapon and the team a promising tight end duo along with Mike Gesicki.

7. Detroit Lions- Ja'Marr Chase, Wide Receiver, LSU: The Lions get an absolute steal here with Chase, who some folks have compared to ex-Lion Calvin Johnson in terms of his potential. Chase gives Jared Goff a much needed weapon as they lost Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones in free agency.

8. Carolina Panthers- Jaycee Horn, Cornerback, South Carolina: Some may look at this selection as a reach, but some may feel like this would be a solid selection. Horn was an absolute workhorse for the Gamecocks in his collegiate career and the Panthers need some secondary help after losing guys in free agency the last few offseasons.

9. Denver Broncos- Justin Fields, Quarterback, Ohio State: Whispers are abound that the Broncos are not in love with Drew Lock and were trying to upgrade at the position. Fields is somebody that seemed like a lock to go second overall back in the fall, but his stock dropped due to his inconsistent play in a shortened Big-10 season. If Fields hits his potential, the Broncos will be right there with the Chiefs and Chargers for division supremacy for years to come.

10. Dallas Cowboys- Patrick Sutain III, Cornerback, Alabama: The Cowboys should go defense with this selection as they have needs in the secondary and in the pass rush. Sutain is someone that's been linked to the Cowboys for some time now and he would instantly become their number one corner as they finally replace Byron Jones.

11. New York Giants- Rashawn Slater, Offensive Tackle, Northwestern: The Giants could go with the best player available for any position here with the exception of quarterback and running back. Slater is someone that is getting potential buzz to be the first lineman drafted, which is high praise. Slater is super versatile and that's what would make this a fine selection and only make an improving offensive line better.

12. Philadelphia Eagles- DeVonta Smith, Wide Receiver, Alabama: This would be a mega steal for the Eagles, who are starving for offensive talent to put around Jalen Hurts after cutting Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner is just flat out electric and here he would get to reunite with his former teammate in Hurts.

13. Los Angeles Chargers- Jaylen Waddle, Wide Receiver, Alabama: This would be a tremendous selection for the Chargers, who give Justin Herbert yet another talented option to throw to. Waddle and Keenan Allen would be among the leagues best wideout duos with Waddle's speed and big play ability.

14. Minnesota Vikings- Alijah Vera-Tucker, Guard, USC: The Vikings are a wild card in this first round because they can go in any direction and it wouldn't stun anyone. Vera-Tucker would provide the Vikings a much needed upgrade on their offensive line and could play any position.

15. New England Patriots- Micah Parsons, Linebacker, Penn State: If Parsons did not opt out this season, he would have been a projected top ten or even top five pick. Parsons is someone that is super versatile and would fit in very nicely with Bill Belichick's defense.

16. Arizona Cardinals- Caleb Farley, Cornerback, Virginia Tech: This would be a tremendous selection for the Cardinals, who have a need at the position with Patrick Peterson gone. Farley is someone that was a top ten projected pick not long ago and has the upside to be a starter in the league for a long time.

18. Miami Dolphins- Kwity Paye, Defensive End, Michigan: Snagging Paye with this pick could end up being a steal for the Dolphins. Paye is someone that was always a steady player under Jim Harbaugh in college and he will certainly come in and help the Dolphins pass rush perhaps right away.

19. Washington Football Team- Christian Darrisaw, Offensive Tackle, Virginia Tech: This would be a good pick by the Football Team as they need reinforcements on their offensive line. Darrisaw is someone that is versatile and would be a great asset for Ryan Fitzpatrick or whomever starts at quarterback.

20. Chicago Bears- Kadarius Toney, Wide Receiver, Florida: Toney is somebody thats stock is rising with two weeks to go until the draft. Toney was overshadowed due to the presence of Kyle Pitts in Dan Mullen's offense but he has potential and would certainly help the Bears offense.

21. Indianapolis Colts- Azeez Ojulari, Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Georgia: This would be a nice selection for the Jets as they come away with a potential building block on defnese. The Colts pass rush could use some youth to go with the veterans they have on that unit.

22. Tennessee Titans- Tyson Campbell, Cornerback, Georgia: The Titans can go in a number of directions here, but I have them going with Campbell. Cornerback is a position of need after the loss of Adoree Jackson and Campbell is someone that could come in and have an impact.

23. New York Jets (from Seattle Seahawks)- Tevin Jenkins, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma State: Jenkins is one of the fastest risers as the draft is a few weeks away. Assuming Zach Wilson is picked second, the Jets land Wilson much needed protection to go with last years first rounder in Mekhi Becton.

24. Pittsburgh Steelers- Najee Harris, Running Back, Alabama: This pick seems like a possibility with Kevin Colbert potentially going for that one last hurrah as Ben Rothlisberger is in the twilight of his career on a one year deal. Harris was a stud in college and he would be an upgrade over the departed James Conner in this offense.

25. Jacksonville Jaguars (from Los Angeles Rams)- Christian Barmore, Defensive Tackle, Alabama: The Jaguars would get a potential steal here with Barmore, who was projected as high as tenth to Dallas in some mock drafts. Barmore would be just another young asset added to the collection the Jags have on their defense including fella defensive lineman Josh Allen and K'Lavon Chaisson.

26. Cleveland Browns- Jaelan Phillips, Defensive End, Miami: The Browns landing Phillips here would be a steal at this point as Phillips is someone that could potentially go as high as 11 to the Giants. Despite adding Jadeveon Clowney recently, he has not been healthy a lot recently and doesn't always perform to expectation so Phillips here makes sense.

28. New Orleans Saints- Trevon Moehrig, Safety, TCU: The Saints have some options with this selection and here I have snagging the talented safety in Moehrig. His play I felt was underrated in college due to being in the Big-12 and he would be a good match with Marcus Williams as the safety duo in that secondary.

29. Green Bay Packers- Greg Newsome, Cornerback, Northwestern: This would be a solid selection for the Packers as they have options with this selection. Newsome along with Kevin King and Jaire Alexander would be a nice trio in the secondary.

30. Buffalo Bills- Travis Etienne, Running Back, Clemson: The Bills have options with this pick and here I have them selecting the talented back in Etienne. The Bills do have a lot at that position, but Etienne would be a great security blanket for Josh Allen and that offense, similar to his role with Trevor Lawrence in Clemson's offense.

31. Kansas City Chiefs- Jalen Mayfield, Offensive Tackle, Michigan: This pick would make all the sense in the world given the need of offensive line help with the releases of Eric Fisher and Mitchell Schwartz. Mayfield showed some great promise against tough Big-10 opponents and would bring what the Chiefs lacked in the Super Bowl.

32. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Alex Weatherwood, Offensive Tackle, Alabama: Washington has some options here and I think could be a trade down candidate as well. Weatherwood would be a solid pick here as the Bucs have zero holes on their roster and are just picking depth pieces at this point.
