2018 NCAA Tournament: Final Four Predictions

Here are my predictions for the Final Four of the 2018 NCAA tournament.

Saturday, March 31st
(S11) Loyola-Chicago (32-5) vs (3) Michigan (32-7)- 6:09, TBS: This should be a very fun game. The Ramblers are coming off a dominating Elite 8 win over the Kansas State Jayhawks. The Wolverines are coming off an Elite 8 win over the Florida State Seminoles. Clayton Custer, Ben Richardson, Marques Towns, and Donte Ingram lead this Cinderella team to this spot, but I believe their dream season comes to an end against a better Wolverine team led by Mohamed Ali-Abdul Rahkman, Moritz Wagner, Jordan Poole, and Duncan Robinson.
Prediction: Michigan

(MW1) Kansas (31-7) vs (E1) Villanova (34-4)- 8:49, TBS: The Jayhawks are coming off a classic overtime Elite 8 win over the Duke Blue Devils. The Wildcats are coming off a comfortable Elite 8 win over the Texas Tech. The Jayhawks are a very good team led by DeVonte Graham, Malik Newman, Udoka Azubuike, and Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk, but the Wildcats are just better led by Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, and Phil Boothe.
Prediction: Villanova

2016 NBA Re-Draft

Here I'm going to re-draft the First Round of the 2016 NBA Draft. How many picks will be the same? How many picks will be different?

1. Philadelphia 76ers- Ben Simmons, Point Guard/Small Forward, LSU: No due-over for the Sixers as they take Simmons here in the redraft sans missing his first season. Simmons versatility and his ability to pass and rebound is what makes him special and what draws LeBron James comparisons.
Actual Pick: Simmons

2. Los Angeles Lakers- Brandon Ingram, Small Forward, Duke: The Lakers don't do a due-over here as they take their guy in Ingram, who's drawn comparisons to Kevin Durant in the past. I'm not sure if Ingram will eventually be at Durant's level or not, but he is certainly apart of the Purple And Gold's longterm future.
Actual Pick: Ingram

3. Boston Celtics (from Brooklyn Nets)- Jamal Murray, Point Guard/Shooting Guard, Kentucky: Murray has had a breakout season for the Nuggets this season and the Celtics take him here in the redraft. Murray can play both guard positions and imagine him with Kyrie Irving in that backcourt with Gordon Hayward on the wing?
Actual Pick: Jaylen Brown, Shooting Guard/Small Forward, California

4. Phoenix Suns- Jaylen Brown, Shooting Guard/Small Forward, California: Brown has been a solid player for the Celtics these last two seasons and has hit some big shots from them and he's a solid defender. Brown with Devin Booker on the wing in Phoenix would have been fun.
Actual PickDragan Bender, Power Forward/Center, Croatia

5. Minnesota Timberwolves- Kris Dunn, Point Guard, Providence: Dunn looked like a bust in his rookie season and than they traded him to Chicago in the Jimmy Butler deal and now looks like a keeper for the rebuilding Bulls. Lets say the Wolves throw in a 2018 first rounder instead of Dunn in
the Butler deal and you would have a nice foundation of Dunn, Butler, Andrew Wiggins, and Karl-Anthony Towns.
Actual Pick: Dunn

6. New Orleans Pelicans- Dejounte Murray, Point Guard, Washington: Murray has very quietly emerged as one of the leagues underrated point guards because he plays on the Spurs, who are just cruising along in the Western Conference despite no Kawhi Leonard. Murray would have perhaps been the franchise point guard for the Pelicans and in theory, the get rid of Jrue Holliday.
Actual Pick: Buddy Hield, Shooting Guard, Oklahoma

7. Denver Nuggets (from New York Knicks)- Malcolm Brogdon, Point Guard/Shooting Guard, Virginia: With Murray off the board, the Nuggets go with Brogdon, who proved to be a second round steal for the Bucks as he won the Rookie of the Year honors last season. Brogdon would have been a nice fit with Gary Harris in the backcourt.
Actual PickJamal Murray, Point Guard/Shooting Guard, Kentucky

8. Phoenix Suns (from Sacramento Kings)- Domontas Sabonis, Power Forward/Center, Gonzaga: Sabonis has been a nice player for the Thunder and Pacers these last two seasons and has shown a ton of potential. In this redraft I have the Suns taking Jaylen Brown so imagine him, Sabonis, and Devin Booker?
Actual Pick: Marquese Chriss, Power Forward, Washington

9. Toronto Raptors (from Denver Nuggets via New York Knicks)- Thon Maker, Power Forward/Center, Australia: Maker has turned into a nice player for the Bucks over these last few seasons. In theory here, maybe Maker turns into a possible replacement for Jonas Valenciunas.
Actual Pick: Jakob Poeltl, Power Forward/Center, Utah

10. Milwaukee Bucks- Buddy Hield, Shooting Guard, Oklahoma: Hield has provided to be a nice piece for the Kings after the Pelicans traded him away for DeMarcus Cousins. Here, the Bucks take Hield here to pair in the backcourt and would be a fun watch with him and Giannis Antetokounmpo together.
Actual Pick: Thon Maker, Power Forward/Center, Australia

11. Oklahoma City Thunder (from Orlando Magic)- Dragan Bender, Power Forward/Center, Croatia: Bender hasn't quite lived up to top four pick status with the Suns, but has shown flashes of potential. Maybe a team like the Thunder would use him properly off the bench.
Actual Pick: Domontas Sabonis, Power Forward/Center, Gonzaga

12. Atlanta Hawks (from Utah Jazz)- Marquese Chriss, Power Forward, Washington: Chriss hasn't really lived up to his lottery pick potential yet either, but has shown flashes. Chriss and John Collins would be an interesting front court in Atlanta.
Actual PickTaurean Prince, Small Forward, Baylor

13. Sacramento Kings (from Washington Wizards via Phoenix Suns)- Skal Labissiere, Power Forward/Center, Kentucky: Labissiere dropped in the draft for several seasons, but the Kings take their guy this high in the redraft. Labissiere is one of the more improved players from this draft class in terms of from year one to year two.
Actual PickGeorgios Papigiannis, Center, Greece

14. Chicago Bulls- Jakob Poetl, Center, Utah: Poetl has shown some potential and played some good minutes these last two seasons for the Raptors. He would probably project as a starter long term in the league and certainly would start on this Bulls team.
Actual PickDenzel Valentine, Shooting Guard/Small Forward, Michigan State

15. Denver Nuggets (from Houston Rockets)- Taurean Prince, Small Forward, Baylor: Prince has shown some nice play for the Hawks, who will probably be a keeper on the Hawks long term. Prince could have very well been the Nuggets starting small forward with Will Barton coming off the bench.
Actual PickJuan Hernangomez, Power Forward, Spain

16. Boston Celtics (from Dallas Mavericks)- Juan Hernangomez, Small Forward/Power Forward, Spain: Hernangomez has dealt with a ton of injuries this season, but he still has room to grow as a player. He would be an intriguing fit on a Celtics team that's contending in the Eastern Conference and would probably come off the bench for them.
Actual PickGuerschon Yabusele, Power Forward, France

17. Memphis Grizzlies- Caris LaVert, Shooting Guard, Michigan: LaVert has been a good player for the Nets these last two seasons, especially coming off that foot injury. LaVert would have been a building block or even a trade piece for this long term rebuild the Grizzlies are about to endure.
Actual PickWade Baldwin IV, Point Guard, Vanderbilt

18. Detroit Pistons- Denzel Valentine, Shooting Guard/Small Forward, Michigan State: Valentine has been a solid player for the rebuilding Bulls and still has room to grow as a player. Valentine probably would be starting on this Pistons team that seems to be stuck in mediocrity.
Actual Pick: Henry Ellenson, Power Forward, Marquette

19. Denver Nuggets (from Portland Trail Blazers)- Yogi Ferrell, Point Guard, Indiana: Ferrell has been a diamond in the rough for the Mavs these last two seasons as a bench player. Ferrell would be a nice bench player for the Nuggets as well.
Actual PickMalik Beasley, Shooting Guard, Florida State

20. Brooklyn Nets (from Indiana Pacers)- Fred Van Bleet, Point Guard, Wichita State: With LaVert off the board and Jeremy Lin injured so often, the Nets take Van Bleet here to either start for them at the point or to come off the bench. Van Bleet has been solid for the Raptors coming off the bench this season.
Actual Pick: Caris LaVert, Shooting Guard, Michigan

21. Atlanta Hawks- Tyler Ulis, Point Guard, Kentucky: Ulis has been a solid backup point guard for the Suns and he has started some games for them as well. Ulis would have been a nice backup for Dennis Schroeder.
Actual PickD'Andre Bembry, Small Forward, Saint Joseph's

22. Sacramento Kings (from Charlotte Hornets)- Brice Johnson, Power Forward, North Carolina: Johnson could have been a nice bench piece throughout these last two years, but hasn't gotten the playing time. Johnson would be a nice fit for a team like the Kings.
Actual Pick: Malachi Richardson, Shooting Guard, Syracuse

23. Boston Celtics- Ante Zizic, Center, Croatia: No-due over for the Celtics as they draft an asset that they would eventually trade to Cleveland in a package for Kyrie Irving. Zizic hasn't had that much playing time due to the surplus of bigs on the Cavs roster, but I won't be surprised if they give more playing time next season.
Actual Pick: Zizic

24. Philadelphia 76ers (from Miami Heat via Cleveland Cavaliers)- Malik Beasley, Shooting Guard, Florida State: Beasley has had his moments on the Nuggets, but hasn't gotten the playing time due to the Nuggets surplus of wings. The Sixers would be a better spot for Beasley to be a bench spark.
Actual Pick: Furkan Komoraz, Shooting Guard, Turkey

25. Los Angeles Clippers- Henry Ellenson, Power Forward, Marquette: Ellenson hasn't really panned out for the Pistons mainly due to the fact he hasn't gotten much playing time. As the Clippers enter this rebuild, a guy like Ellenson would be worth giving a shot.
Actual Pick: Brice Johnson, Power Forward, North Carolina

26. Philadelphia 76ers (from Oklahoma City Thunder via Cleveland Cavaliers/Denver Nuggets)- Ivica Zubac, Center, Croatia: Zubac has had his moments in a backup role with the Lakers. Zubac could have been a serviceable backup for Joel Embiid.
Actual PickFurkan Komoraz, Shooting Guard, Turkey

27. Toronto Raptors- Ron Baker, Point Guard/Shooting Guard, Wichita State: With Van Bleet off the board, the Raptors take his former teammate in Baker, who's had some moments on the Knicks. Baker would have provided a similar spark on the Raptors to what Van Bleet has done.
Actual Pick: Pascal Siakam, Power Forward, New Mexico State

28. Sacramento Kings (from Phoenix Suns via Cleveland Cavaliers/Boston Celtics)- D'Andre Bembry, Small Forward, Saint Joseph's: Bembry really has not panned out for the Hawks yet as he's been sent down to the G-League several times. If Bembry got proper playing and development time maybe say for the Kings, it could have worked.
Actual Pick: Skal Labissiere, Power Forward/Center, Kentucky

29. San Antonio Spurs- Wade Baldwin IV, Point Guard, Vanderbilt: With Murray off the board, the Spurs take another point guard in Baldwin. It didn't work out for Baldwin in Memphis and he's now on the Blazers roster and probably could have worked well with the Spurs
Actual Pick: Dejounte Murray, Point Guard, Washington

30. Golden State Warriors- Paul Zipser, Shooting Guard/Small Forward, Germany: Zipser has proven to be somewhat of a second round steal for the Bulls as he's done a nice job for them off the bench and even starting on occasion. Zipser would have been a fine wing off the bench for the Dubs.
Actual Pick: Diamond Stone, Center, Maryland

2016 NFL Re-Draft

Here I'm going to re-draft the First Round of the 2017 NFL Draft. How many picks will be the same? How many picks will be different?

1. Los Angeles Rams (from Tennessee Titans)- Jared Goff, Quarterback, California: No due-over for the Rams as they take their franchise quarterback in Goff, who had a breakout season for the Rams this past season. Goff will lead the Rams for years to come as they are now a Super Bowl contender.
Actual Pick: Goff

2. Philadelphia Eagles (from Cleveland Browns)- Carson Wentz, Quarterback, North Dakota State: No due-over for the Eagles either as they take their franchise quarterback in Wentz, who tore his ACL in December and missed their Super Bowl run. I believe Wentz comes back and is the leader of this Eagles team for years to come.
Actual Pick: Wentz

3. Los Angeles Chargers- Joey Bosa, Defensive End, Ohio State: No due-over for the Bolts here either as they take their star pass rusher in Bosa, who has been outstanding his first two seasons in the league. Bosa will be a Defensive Player of the Year candidate for the foreseeable future.
Actual Pick: Bosa

4. Dallas Cowboys- Ezekiel Elliott, Running Back, Ohio State: Another same pick as the Cowboys don't due-over with Elliott, who is a horse in the backfield. The Cowboys definitely missed Elliott when he was suspended last season and he'll continue to be a horse for the Cowboys.
Actual Pick: Elliott

5. Jacksonville Jaguars- Jalen Ramsey, Cornerback, Florida State: The Jags don't do a due-over here with Ramsey, who's versatile and is one of the best defensive backs in the league already. Ramsey is the leader of the Jags great defense and will be for a very long time.
Actual Pick: Ramsey

6. Baltimore Ravens- Jack Conklin, Offensive Tackle, Michigan State: The first due-over in the re-draft is here as the Ravens take Conklin to improve their offensive line. Conklin was an All-Pro as a Rookie in 2016 and was solid last season before testing his ACL in the playoffs.
Actual PickRonnie Stanley, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

7. San Francisco 49ers- Dion Jones, Linebacker, LSU: The Falcons got a steal with Jones at where they selected him in the second round as the Niners do a due-over here and take the linebacker. Jones made the Pro Bowl last season and will be a fixture in the Falcons defense for years to come.
Actual PickDeForrest Buckner, Defensive End, Oregon

8. Tennessee Titans (from Miami Dolphins via Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns)- Laremy Tunsil, Offensive Tackle, Ole Miss: With Conklin off the board, the Titans take Tunsil, who would have been picked higher had not been for that smoke video that came out on draft night. Tunsil has started every game that he's played thus far and made the All-Rookie team in 2016.
Actual Pick: Jack Conklin, Offensive Tackle, Michigan State

9. Chicago Bears (from Tampa Bay Buccaneers)- Leonard Floyd, Outside Linebacker, Georgia: The Bears traded up for Floyd and it's paid off thus far (sans injuries from last season). Floyd was great as a rookie in 2016 and made the All-Rookie team. The injuries piled up last season though, but the Bears don't due-over here.
Actual Pick: Floyd

10. New York Giants- Taylor Decker, Offensive Tackle, Ohio State: Decker was solid was a rookie in 2016, but missed the first few weeks of the season last year due to shoulder surgery. Decker would have protected Eli Manning pretty well these last two seasons.
Actual Pick: Eli Apple, Cornerback, Ohio State

11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Keanu Neal, Safety, Florida: Neal has been tremendous for the Falcons in their secondary the last two years as the Bucs re-do here. Neal made the All-Rookie team in 2016 and was a Pro Bowler last season.
Actual Pick: Vernon Hargraves III, Cornerback, Florida

12. New Orleans Saints- DeForrest Buckner, Defensive End, Oregon: A tough call for the Saints leads them to take Buckner over Sheldon Rankins to pear with Cameron Jordan on the pass rush. Buckner did miss games the last two seasons, but did make the All-Rookie team in 2016.
Actual PickSheldon Rankins, Defensive Tackle, Louisville

13. Miami Dolphins (from Philadelphia Eagles)- Sheldon Rankins, Defensive Tackle, Louisville: With Tunsil off the board, the Dolphins shift their focus to the defensive line and take Rankins here to go with Cameron Wake on the defensive line. Rankins would have in theory eventually replaced Ndamokung Suh.
Actual PickLaremy Tunsil, Offensive Tackle, Ole Miss

14. Oakland Raiders- Vernon Hargreaves III, Cornerback, Florida: The Raiders secondary isn't great as they take Hargreaves over Karl Joseph to get more cornerback depth. Hargreaves was injured last season, but solid as a rookie.
Actual Pick: Karl Joseph, Safety, West Virginia

15. Cleveland Browns (from Los Angeles via Tennessee)- Dak Prescott, Quarterback, Mississippi State: The Browns snag their franchise quarterback here with Prescott falling to them here as in real life, the Cowboys stole him in the fourth round. He made the Pro Bowl as a rookie, but regressed last season and I would bet we see a better an even Prescott next season.
Actual Pick: Corey Coleman, Wide Receiver, Baylor

16. Detroit Lions- Derrick Henry, Running Back, Alabama: With Decker off the board, the Lions take Henry here, who made a drastic leap from his rookie season to his sophomore season as the Lions snag him here at 16. The Lions running game has been below average and Henry would have been a horse for them in the backfield.
Actual PickTaylor Decker, Offensive Tackle, Ohio State

17. Atlanta Falcons- Kevin Byard, Safety, Middle Tennessee: With Neal off the board, the Falcons take another safety in Byard, who broke out last season and made the All-Pro team and was a Pro Bowler. Where the Titans selected him has proven to be a steal.
Actual Pick: Keanu Neal, Safety, Florida

18. Indianapolis Colts- Cody Whitehair, Center, Kansas State: Whitehair has been solid in his first two seasons in the league earning All-Rookie honors two years ago. Whitehair has a chance to become one of the better starting offensive lineman in the league due to his versatility and durability.
Actual Pick: Ryan Kelly, Center, Alabama

19. Buffalo Bills- Yannick Ngakoue, Defensive End, Maryland: Ngakoue has proven to be a steal at where the Jags selected him. Ngakoue made the All-Rookie team two years ago and the Pro Bowl last season.
Actual Pick: Shaq Lawson, Defensive End, Clemson

20. New York Jets- Joe Schobert, Linebacker, Wisconsin: Schobert proven to be a steal at where the Browns selected him in the fourth round. Schobert was solid as a rookie and made the Pro Bowl last season.
Actual Pick: Darron Lee, Outside Linebacker, Ohio State

21. Houston Texans (from Washington Redskins)- Will Fuller IV, Wide Receiver, Notre Dame: No due-over here for the Texans as they take Fuller to pair with D'Andre Hopkins. Fuller is best at stretching the field and making the long highlight plays.
Actual Pick: Fuller

22. Washington Redskins (from Houston Texans)- Michael Thomas, Wide Receiver, Ohio State: Thomas proven to be a steal at where the Saints selected him in the second round. Thomas was solid as a rookie and a made the Pro Bowl last season.
Actual Pick: Josh Doctson, Wide Receiver, TCU

23. Minnesota Vikings- Sterling Sheppard, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma: Sheppard has proven to be a steal at where the Giants selected him in the second round. Sheppard is a very good second fiddle to Odell Bekcham Jr and was solid last season for the Giants in their miserable 3-13 season.
Actual Pick: Laquon Treadwell, Wide Receiver, Ole Miss

24. Cincinnati Bengals- Tyreek Hill, Wide Receiver, West Alabama: The Chiefs found a diamond in the ruff in Hill, who was picked in the fifth round. Hill made the Pro Bowl in his first two seasons and the All-Pro team as a rookie in 2016.
Actual Pick: William Jackson III, Cornerback, Houston

25. Pittsburgh Steelers- Artie Burns, Cornerback, Miami (FL): No due-over here as the Steelers take Burns here to improve their secondary. Burns should be a solid corner in this league for the next few seasons.
Actual Pick: Burns

26. Denver Broncos (from Seattle Seahawks)- Joe Thuney, Guard, North Carolina State: Thuney has proven to be a steal at where the Pats selected him in the third round. He made the All-Rookie team in 2016 and has helped the Pats offensive line greatly protecting Tom Brady.
Actual Pick: Paxton Lynch, Quarterback, Memphis

27. Green Bay Packers- Jordan Howard, Running Back, Indiana: Howard proven to be a steal at where the Bears selected him in the fifth round. Howard made the All-Rookie team and the Pro Bowl in 2016 and was solid later last season and imagine him running the ball and catching passes in the backfield behind Aaron Rodgers?
Actual Pick: Kenny Clark, Defensive Tackle, UCLA

28. San Francisco 49ers (from Kansas City Chiefs)- Su'a Cravens, Strong Safety, USC: Converted from linebacker, Cravens proven to be a steal at where the Redskins selected him in the second round and the Skins will regret trading him. Cravens's transition to safety was successful after he nearly retired before the 2017 season.
Actual Pick: Joshua Garnett, Guard, Stanford

29. Arizona Cardinals- Hunter Henry, Tight End, Arkansas: Henry has been a good weapon these last two years for Phillip Rivers as he made the All Rookie team a year ago and was solid last season. He would have been a starter on this Cards team.
Actual PickRobert Nkemdiche, Defensive End, Ole Miss

30. Carolina Panthers- Pharoh Cooper, Wide Receiver, South Carolina: Cooper proven to be a steal at where the Rams selected him in the fourth round. Cooper made the Pro Bowl last season as well as the All-Pro team and proved to be a nice weapon for Jared Goff as Cam Newton probably wishes he had a Pro Bowl receiver to throw to.
Actual Pick: Vernon Butler, Defensive Tackle, Louisiana Tech

31. Seattle Seahawks (from Denver Broncos)- Chris Jones, Defensive Tackle, Mississippi State: Jones has been a solid starter for the Chiefs these last two seasons and made the All-Rookie team in 2016. Pete Carroll would have loved to have Jones on his team.
Actual PickGermain Ifedi, Offensive Tackle, Texas A&M

2017 NHL Re-Draft

Here I'm going to re-draft the First Round of the 2017 NHL Draft. How many picks will be the same? How many picks will be different?

1. New Jersey Devils- Nico Hischier, Center, Halifax (QMJHL): The Devils don't do a due over here as they take their guy in Hischier, who's been solid as a rookie this season. Hischier as of now has forty-six points as a rookie and he'll be a top-six forward for the foreseeable future.
Actual Pick: Hischier

2. Philadelphia Flyers- Elias Pettersson, Center, Kimra (SHL): Pettersson has had an amazing year in the Swedish League and is making the Canucks look like they got a steal. Pettersson as of now has fifty-six points in the Swedish League and the Flyers probably take Pettersson here instead of the guy they originally took.
Actual PickNolan Patrick, Center, Brandon (WHL)

3. Dallas Stars- Callan Foote, Defenseman, Kelowna (WHL): Foote has a chance to be a franchise defenseman some day as he's shown a ton of potential in the Western League and in the World a Juniors. Something tells me the Stars may regret not taking Foote here.
Actual Pick: Miro Heiskanen, Defenseman, HIFK Helsinki (SM-Liiga)

4. Colorado Avalanche- Cale Makar, Defenseman, Brooks (AJHL): Makar is having a solid season in college and played well in the World Juniors as well. Makar as of now has twenty-one points on the season and it won't be surprising to see Makar get called up to the Avs at some point.
Actual Pick: Makar

5. Vancouver Canucks- Cody Glass, Center, Portland (WHL): With Pettersson off the board, the Canucks go with Glass, who's having an outstanding season in the Western League. Glass has a staggering 102 points with the Portland Winterhawks this season and it would be cool to see the Golden Knights call up Class come playoff time.
Actual Pick: Elias Pettersson, Center, Kimra (SHL)

6. Vegas Golden Knights- Nolan Patrick, Center, Brandon (WHL): With Glass off the board, the Knights go with Patrick, who has been underwhelming for the Flyers this season as a rookie. Patrick has twenty-four points and has room to grow as a player.
Actual Pick: Cody Glass, Center, Portland (WHL)

7. New York Rangers (from Arizona Coyotes)- Morgan Frost, Center, Sault Ste. Marie (OHL): Frost is proven to be a steal at where the Flyers took him as he's putting up a monster season in the Ontarian League. Frost has put up a staggering 112 points so far this season and has a chance to be called up for the playoffs for the Flyers.
Actual PickLias Andersson, Center, HV (SHL)

8. Buffalo Sabres- Casey Mittelsdalt, Center, Eden (High-MN): Mittelsdalt had a great season with Minnesota this season and now is playing with the Sabres. Mittelsdalt put up thirty-four points with the Golden-Gophers and it won't be surprising to see him succeed with the Sabres right away.
Actual Pick: Mittelsdalt

9. Detroit Red Wings- Nick Suzuki, Center, Owen (OHL): Suzuki is performing very well in the Ontarian League this season. Suzuki has put up 100 points this season and it would be cool to see him get some run with the Golden Knights this season.
Actual PickMichael Rasmussen, Center, Tri-City (WHL)

10. Florida Panthers- Aleksi Heponiemi, Wing, Swift Current (WHL): Heponiemi was picked by the Panthers, but in the second round and has proven to be a steal at where they selected him. Heponiemi has put up a staggering 112 points this season and will likely be on the Panthers come next season.
Actual PickOwen Tippett, Wing, Mississauga (OHL)

11. Los Angeles Kings- Martin Nečas, Wing, Brno (ELH): Nečas has shown some promise in the Czech League as well as the World Juniors. He did see some time with the Hurricanes this season and probably will be on that team full time starting next season.
Actual Pick: Gabriel Vilardi, Center, Windsor (OHL)

12. Carolina Hurricanes- Lisa Andersson, Center, HV (SHL): Andersson showed a ton of promise and potential in his time in the Swedish League as well as the World Junior. Andersson had fourteen points in 22 games in the Swedish League and seven points in seven games in the World Juniors. He is now finishing the season on the Rangers and will likely be on the Rangers full time starting next season.
Actual Pick: Martin Nečas, Wing, Brno (ELH)

13. Vegas Golden Knights (from Winnipeg Jets)- Timothy Liljegren, Defenseman, Rogle (SHL): Liljegren has shown a ton of potential and promise this season for the Swedish League and the American Hockey League as well as the World Junior. Don't be shocked if Liljedren is with the Maple Leafs come playoff time.
Actual PickNick Suzuki, Center, Owen (OHL)

14. Tampa Bay Lightning- Juuso Valimaki, Defenseman, Tri-City (WHL): Valimaki has shown a ton of a potential and promise in the Western League as well as the World Junior. He'll probably be on the Flames full time starting next season.
Actual Pick: Callan Foote, Defenseman, Kelowna (WHL)

15. Vegas Golden Knights (from New York Islanders)- Robert Thomas, Center, London (OHL): Thomas is having a great season in the Ontarian League and showed potential in the World Juniors. Thomas has put up forty-six points in 27 games this season in the Ontarian League and will probably start next season with the Blues.
Actual PickErik Brännström, Defenseman, HV (SHL)

16. Calgary Flames- Miro Heiskanen, Defenseman, HIFK Helsinki (SM-Liiga): Heiskanen drops in this re-draft as the Flames would get a possible steal here with Valimaki off the board. Heiskanen hasn't really put up the stats to prove his top three pick status, but has room to grow as a player. Maybe he does end up playing for the Stars next season.
Actual Pick: Juuso Valimaki, Defenseman, Tri-City (WHL)

17. Toronto Maple Leafs- Michael Rasmussen, Center, Tri-City (WHL): With Liljegren off the board, the Leafs take a forward in Rasmussen, who would be a steal in this spot. He's shown a ton of potential in the Western League and will likely start next season with the Red Wings.
Actual Pick: Timothy Liljegren, Defenseman, Rogle (SHL)

18. Boston Bruins- Urho Vaakanainen, Defenseman, JYP (Liga): The Bruins don't do a due over here with Vaakanainen, who has a chance to be a top four defenseman on a contender some day. He's shown a lot of promise in the Finnish League as well as the World Juniors. Don't be surprised if Vaakanainen starts next season in B-town.
Actual Pick: Vaakanainen

19. San Jose Sharks- Gabriel Vilardi, Center, Windsor (OHL): Vilardi dropping this far would be a massive steal for the Sharks in theory here as Vilardi has shown potential in the Ontarian League as well as the World Juniors. He could end up starting next season on the Kings.
Actual Pick: Joshua Norris, Center, USNTDP

20. St. Louis Blues- Joshua Norris, Center, USNTDP: With Thomas off the board, the Blues go with another center in Norris, who had a solid showing in college with the Michigan Wolverines this season. Norris had twenty-two points in 34 games for the Wolverines this season and probably will end up playing on the Sharks next season.
Actual Pick: Robert Thomas, Center, London (OHL)

21. New York Rangers- Eeli Tolvanen, Wing, Sioux City (USHL): Tolvanen proved to be a steal at where the Predators selected him and he was very coveted at the trade deadline when the Preds were exploring deals to improve themselves. Tolvanen performed well in the KHL and in the World Junior and was stood pat and will end up being a factor for the Preds come playoff time.
Actual Pick: Filip Chytil, Center, PSG Zlin (CHE)

22. Edmonton Oilers- Kailer Yamamoto, Wing, Spokane (WHL): No due-over for the Oilers as they take Yamamoto, who has shown a ton of potential in the Western League that earned him a call up to the Oilers. Yamamoto looks like a top-six forward for the foreseeable future.
Actual Pick: Yamamoto

23. Arizona Coyotes (from Minnesota Wild)- Pierre Olivier-Joseph, Defenseman, Charlottetown (QMJHL): Olivier-Joseph has shown a ton of potential in the Quebec league and could be on somebody's top four. Olivier-Joseph will probably be on the Coyotes at some point next season.
Actual Pick: Olivier-Joseph

24. Winnipeg Jets (from Columbus Blue Jackets via Vegas Golden Knights)- Kristian Vesalainen, Wing, Frolunda (SHL): No due-over here as the Jets go with Vesalainen, who has shown a ton of potential in the Finnish League this season. He should start next season with the Jets.
Actual Pick: Vesalainen

25. Montreal Canadiens- Shane Bowers, Center, Waterloo (USHL): Bowers has shown a ton of potential in college this season as well as the World Juniors and the Senators are going to end up regret trading him to the Avs in the Matt Duchene trade. Bowers could very well start next season with the Avs.
Actual Pick: Ryan Poehling, Center, St. Cloud (NCAA)

26. Dallas Stars (from Chicago Blackhawks)- Jake Oettinger, Goalie, Boston College (NCAA): No due-over here as the Stars select perhaps either their future franchise goalie or a trade asset down the road since Ben Bishop is signed long term. Oettinger was outstanding in college this season and it will be interesting to see what the Stars end up doing next season with him.
Actual Pick: Oettinger

27. Philadelphia Flyers (from Washington Capitals via St. Louis Blues)- Ryan Poehling, Center, St. Cloud (NCAA): With Frost off the board, the Flyers take another center in Poehling, who had a solid season for St. Cloud. Poehling has a chance to crack the Habs lineup next season.
Actual Pick: Morgan Frost, Center, Sault St. Marie (OHL)

28. Ottawa Senators- Jason Robertson, Wing, Kingston (OHL): With Bowers off the board, the Sens go with Robertson, who has shown a ton of potential in the Ontarian League. I won't be surprised if he makes the Stars roster out of training camp next season.
Actual Pick: Shane Bowers, Center, Waterloo (USHL)

29. Chicago Blackhawks (from Anaheim Ducks via Dallas Stars)- Henri Jokiharju, Defenseman, Portland (WHL): No due-over for the Blackhawks as they take Jokiharju, who has potential to be a top-four defenseman some day for a team. Jokiharju has shown a ton of potential in the Western League and he could end up seeing time on the Blackhawks next season.
Actual Pick: Jokiharju

30. Nashville Predators- Klim Kostin, Center, Dynamo (KHL): With Tolvanen off the board, the Preds go with another forward in Kostin, who's shown potential in the American Hockey League this season as well as the World Juniors. Don't be surprised if Kostin cracks the Blues roster next season.
Actual PickEeli Tolvanen, Wing, Sioux City (USHL)

31. St. Louis Blues (from Pittsburgh Penguins)- Erik Brännström, Defenseman, HV (SHL): With Kostin off the board, the Blues take Brännström, who would have been a total steal at this spot. Brännström has shown potential in the Swedish League and the World Juniors and probably will be on the Golden Knights next season.
Actual Pick: Klim Kostin, Center, Dynamo (KHL)
