2018 AAC Tournament Predictions

Here are my predictions for the 2018 AAC tournament. The tournament will be held at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

First Round
3/8- (9) SMU (16-15; 6-12) vs (8) Connecticut (14-17; 7-11)- 12:00, ESPNU: The Mustangs are the better team and they should take care of the Huskies, who are likely to let Kevin Ollie go.
Prediction: SMU

3/8- (12) South Florida (10-21; 3-15) vs (5) Memphis (19-12; 10-8)- 2:30, ESPNU
Prediction: Memphis

3/8- (10) Tulane (14-16; 5-13) vs (7) Temple (16-14; 8-10)- 6:00, ESPNU
Prediction: Temple

3/8- (11) East Carolina (10-19; 4-14) vs (6) UCF (18-12; 9-9)- 8:30, ESPNU
Prediction: UCF

Quarterfinals
3/9- (9) SMU vs (1) Cincinnati (27-4; 16-2)- 12:00, ESPN2: This should be an interesting game. I say the Mustangs keep it close, but the a Bearcats pull away late.
Prediction: Cincinnati

3/9- (5) Memphis vs (4) Tulsa (19-11; 12-6)- 2:30, ESPN2: This should be a close one and I like the Golden Hurricane here as Tubby Smith will likely get the ax from the Tigers.
Prediction: Tulsa

3/9- (7) Temple vs (2) Wichita State (24-6; 14-4)- 6:00, ESPN2: The Owls did knock off the Shockers this season one time but they won't do it again.
Prediction: Wichita State

3/9- (6) UCF vs (3) Houston (24-6; 14-4)- 8:30, ESPN2: The Golden Knights are a solid defensive team and that should keep them in this contest, but I like the Cougars to advance.
Prediction: Houston

Semifinals
3/9- (4) Tulsa vs (1) Cincinnati- 1:00, CBS: The Bearcats are by far the better team and I like them to advance here.
Prediction: Cincinnati

3/9- (3) Houston vs (2) Wichita State- 3:30, CBS: This should be a fun game, but the Shockers are just the better team here and they'll advance.
Prediction: Wichita State

Championship
3/10- (2) Wichita State vs (1) Cincinnati- 3:00, CBS: The best two teams in this conference will meet in this championship game. They split the regular season matchups, but the Shockers should have won both games and I like them here to receive the auto-bid as the Bearcats will get an at-large bid.
