2018 NFL Week 13: Picks

Here are my picks for week thirteen of the 2018 NFL season.

Thursday, November 29th
New Orleans Saints (10-1) vs Dallas Cowboys (6-5)- 8:20, FOX/NFLN: This is a pretty fun game between the leagues best team in the Saints and one of the surprise division leaders in the Cowboys. The Saints are coming off a Thanksgiving Night divisional home win over the Atlanta Falcons. The Cowboys are coming off a Thanksgiving Day divisional home win over the Washington Redskins. This is a big test for both of these teams defenses since the Cowboys haven't seen an offense this good perhaps all season and the Saints are on the road against an improved Cowboys offense with the addition of Amari Cooper. That said, it's had to pick against the Saints right now and I think they'll win a shootout in Jerry World.
Prediction: New Orleans 38, Dallas 34.

Sunday, December 2nd
Baltimore Ravens (6-5) at Atlanta Falcons (4-7)- 1:00, CBS: The Ravens are coming off a home win over the Oakland Raiders. The Falcons are coming off a Thanksgiving Night divisional road loss in New Orleans against the Saints. This feels like a trap game for the Ravens and Lamar Jackson, who really has not been that impressive. The Falcons offense comes alive against a suddenly vulnerable Ravens defense.
Prediction: Atlanta 27, Baltimore 20.

Denver Broncos (5-6) at Cincinnati Bengals (5-6)- 1:00, CBS: The Broncos are coming off a huge home win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bengals are coming off a dismal divisional home loss against the Cleveland Browns and Andy Dalton was lost for the season with torn ligaments in his thumb. Jeff Driskel is now the starting quarterback and I don't see how they'll beat a hot Bronco team led by their great pass rush.
Prediction: Denver 30, Cincinnati 16.

Los Angeles Rams (10-1) at Detroit Lions (4-7)- 1:00, FOX: The Rams are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they won at home over the Kansas City Chiefs on a Monday night. The Lions are coming off a Thanksgiving Day divisional home loss against the Chicago Bears. The Lions seem like a team that's thrown in the towel and the Rams are a team looking to get home field advantage.
Prediction: LA Rams 37, Detroit 20.

Arizona Cardinals (2-9) at Green Bay Packers (4-6-1)- 1:00, FOX: The Cardinals are coming off a road loss in Los Angeles against the Chargers. The Packers are coming off a Sunday night divisional road loss in Minneapolis against the Vikings. The Packers badly need this game to get themselves right against a bad opponent and I believe they'll get it done and this is my lock of the week.
Prediction: Green Bay 30, Arizona 17.

Buffalo Bills (4-7) at Miami Dolphins (5-6)- 1:00, CBS: The Bills are coming off a home win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Dolphins are coming off a road loss in Indianapolis against the Colts. This is truly an awful game and I think the Dolphins will win a low scoring game at home.
Prediction: Miami 17, Buffalo 13.

Chicago Bears (8-3) at New York Giants (3-8)- 1:00, FOX: The Bears are coming off a Thanksgiving day divisional road win in Detroit against the Lions. The Giants are coming off a brutal divisional road loss in Philadelphia against the Eagles in which they had a 16-point lead in. The Bears defense is poised to have the critics saying that Eli Manning should hang it up after the season and they should win this game easily regardless who's starting at quarterback.
Prediction: Chicago 26, NY Giants 13.

Carolina Panthers (6-5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-7)- 1:00, FOX: The Panthers are coming off a brutal home loss against the Seattle Seahawks. The Buccaneers are coming off a home win over the lowly San Francisco 49ers. The Bucs offense has looked good the last few weeks but against bad defenses and the Panthers defense isn't that bad so I like Cam Newton and the Panthers to get the big win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Prediction: Carolina 30, Tampa Bay 20.

Indianapolis Colts (6-5) at Jacksonville Jaguars (3-8)- 1:00, CBS: The Colts are coming off a home win over the Miami Dolphins. The Jags are coming off a road loss in Orchard Park against the Bills. Cody Kessler is starting at quarterback over the benched Blake Bortles now and I don't see how it gets better for the Jags as the Colts have been hot and will win their sixth in a row.
Prediction: Indianapolis 34, Jacksonville 16.

Cleveland Browns (4-6-1) at Houston Texans (8-3)- 1:00, CBS: The Browns are coming off a divisional road win in Cincinnati against the Bengals. The Texans are coming off a big Monday Night divisional home win over the Tennessee Titans. The Texans have been hot of late and I like them to win their ninth in a row and their pass rush to slow down Baker Mayfield and the Browns offense.
Prediction: Houston 30, Cleveland 23.

New York Jets (3-8) at Tennessee Titans (5-6)- 4:05, CBS: The Jets are coming off a divisional home loss against the New England Patriots. The Titans are coming off a bad Monday Night divisional road loss in Houston against the Texans. The Jets are probably starting Josh McCown again this week and I can see Marcus Mariota putting up good stats against a bad defense and leading the Titans back to .500.
Prediction: Tennessee 27, NY Jets 16.

Kansas City Chiefs (10-1) at Oakland Raiders (2-9)- 4:05, CBS: The Chiefs are coming off a bye and two weeks ago they lost a tough one in Los Angeles against the Rams. The Raiders are coming off a road loss in Baltimore against the Ravens. This feels like a lopsided Chiefs win to me led by Patrick Mahomes and that offense.
Prediction: Kansas City 42, Oakland 20.

Minnesota Vikings (6-4-1) at New England Patriots (8-3)- 4:25, FOX: The Vikings are coming off a big time Sunday night divisional home win against the Green Bay Packers. The Patriots are coming off a divisional road win in East Rutherford against the New York Jets. This is going to be an intriguing game by all aspects and I think this is a feel good win for Bill Belichick and Company at home in a super close one.
Prediction: New England 27, Minnesota 24.

San Francisco 49ers (2-9) at Seattle Seahawks (6-5)- 4:25, FOX: The 49ers are coming off a road loss in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers. The Seahawks are coming off a big time road win over the Carolina Panthers. The Seahawks are playing great football and need this game and Russell Wilson is playing like an MVP candidate.
Prediction: Seattle 33, San Francisco 16.

Los Angeles Chargers (8-3) at Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3-1)- 8:20, NBC: The Chargers are coming off a much needed home win over the Arizona Cardinals. The Steelers are coming off a brutal road loss in Denver against the Broncos. The Steelers are poised for a big time performance at home in primetime and I think that will be the case here.
Prediction: Pittsburgh 38, LA Chargers 27.

Monday, December 3rd

Washington Redskins (6-5) at Philadelphia Eagles (5-6)- 8:15, ESPN: This feels like a loser leaves town match. The Redskins are coming off a Thanksgiving Day divisional road loss in Arlington against the Cowboys. The Eagles are coming off a huge and much needed come from behind divisional home win over the New York Giants. Colt McCoy wasn't terrible in that Cowboys game last week, but I don't trust him outdoors and in the cold on a Monday night as the Eagles get back to .500.
Prediction: Philadelphia 27, Washington 17.

2018 College Football Week 14: Picks

Here are my picks for championship week (week fourteen) of the 2018 College Football season.

Friday, November 30th
Northern Illinois (7-5; 6-2) vs Buffalo (10-2; 7-1)- 7:00, ESPN2: The Vegas line of the Bulls as a three and a half point favorite suggests that this will be a good game. I look at it and see that the Bulls are clearly the better team. Someone knows something apparently. I think the Bulls win a close one in Detroit to take home the MAC championship.
Pick: Buffalo

(17) Utah (9-3; 6-3) vs (11) Washington (9-3; 7-2)- 8:00, FOX: These two teams met earlier in the season and the Huskies came away victorious in Salt Lake City. This game is being played in Santa Clara and with all the injuries the Utes have suffered of late, the Huskies take advantage and get a bid in the Rose Bowl.
Pick: Washington

Saturday, December 1st
(14) Texas (9-3; 7-2) vs (5) Oklahoma (11-1; 7-1)- 12:00, ABC: These Longhorns are the only team to defeat the Sooners this season courtesy of a game winning field goal as time expired. Expect another high scoring game in Jerry World except for the Sooners to get revenge and perhaps clinch a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Pick: Oklahoma

Drake (7-3; 6-2) at (23) Iowa State (7-4; 6-3)- 12:00
Pick: Iowa State

Louisiana (7-5; 5-3) at Appalachian State (9-2; 7-1)- 12:00, ESPN: With the Mounatineers hosting the game and are the flat out better team, I'd be somewhat surprised if this wasn't a double digit win for the Mountainners.
Pick: Appalachian State

East Carolina (3-8; 1-7) at NC State (8-3; 5-3)- 12:00, ACCN
Pick: NC State

Akron (4-7; 2-6) at South Carolina (6-5; 4-4)- 12:00, SECN
Pick: South Carolina

Marshall (8-3; 6-2) at Virginia Tech (5-6; 4-4)- 12:00, ACCN
Pick: Virginia Tech

UAB (9-3; 7-1) at Middle Tennessee (8-4; 7-1)- 1:30, CBSSN: These two teams just played each other last weekend and the Blue Raiders came away victorious. The Raiders are a short favorite on their home turf and I think they knock off the Blazers a second straight week to win Conference-USA.
Pick: Middle Tennessee

Norfolk State (4-6; 2-5) at Liberty (5-6)- 2:00, ESPN3
Pick: Liberty

Stanford (7-4; 5-3) at California (7-4; 4-4)- 3:00, Pac-12N: This is a makeup game from a few weeks back due to the wildfires. The Golden Bears are home and poised to end their losing streak to the Cardinal.
Pick: California

Memphis (8-4; 5-3) at (8) UCF (12-0; 8-0)- 3:30, ABC: Too bad McKenzie Milton broke his leg and is going to miss the remainder of the season. The Tigers take advantage and spoil a second straight undefeated season for the Knights.
Pick: Memphis

(1) Alabama (12-0; 8-0) vs (4) Georgia (12-0; 8-0)- 4:00, CBS: This is perhaps the game of the year in the College Football season. Winner is in the playoff and quite frankly in the right circumstances and things break right the loser could be in too. The Bulldogs will be motivated and seeking revenge after losing the heartbreaker in the National Title game a year ago to this same Crimson Tide team, but Tua Tagovailoa is just too much for the Bulldogs to handle as the Tide will roll into the College Football Playoff for the fifth year in a row.
Pick: Alabama

(25) Fresno State (10-2; 7-1) at (22) Boise State (10-2; 7-1)- 7:45, ESPN: These two teams hooked up a few weeks ago and the Broncos came from behind to defeat the Bulldogs. Two very good teams here and the winner of this game will go to a New Years Six bowl (assuming UCF loses to Memphis). The Broncos are pretty much unbeatable on the Smurf Turf and I think they find themselves in a New Years Six bowl.
Pick: Boise State

(2) Clemson (12-0; 8-0) vs Pittsburgh (7-5; 6-2)- 8:00, ABC: This is such a big mismatch here in Charlotte it's not even funny. If the Tigers lose this game somehow, they might not even make the playoff because this would be such a bad loss. That said, the Tigers have a bit of revenge on their mind because the Panthers defeated them in Death Valley a few years back and they'll win this game big.
Pick: Clemson

(21) Northwestern (8-4; 8-1) vs (6) Ohio State (11-1; 8-1)- 8:00, FOX: This is a fascinating game in Indianapolis. The Buckeyes have only played one complete game all season which was last weekend against Michigan. The Wildcats have been red hot and always have thrived as underdogs under Pat Fitzgerald. I expect this to be a close and high scoring affair and for the Buckeyes to get a few key stops late to make it's case for the College Football Playoff.
Pick: Ohio State

2018 NFL Week 12: Picks

Here are my picks for week twelve of the 2018 NFL Season.

Thursday, November 22nd
Chicago Bears (7-3) vs Detroit Lions (4-6)- 12:30, CBS: The Bears are coming off a great Sunday night divisional home win over the Minnesota Vikings. The Lions are coming off a home win over the Carolina Panthers. Mitch Trubisky is not healthy and with a short turnaround, I think the Lions pull off the mild home upset.
Prediction: Detroit 26, Chicago 20.

Washington Redskins (6-4) vs Dallas Cowboys (5-5)- 4:30, FOX: The Redskins are coming off a brutal home loss against the Houston Texans in which quarterback Alex Smith broke his fibula. The Cowboys are coming off another good road win, this time in Atlanta against the Falcons. Smith is out for the season and now comes in Colt McCoy. Cowboys win an ugly one.
Prediction: Dallas 20, Washington 16.

Atlanta Falcons (4-6) vs New Orleans Saints (9-1)- 8:20, NBC: The Falcons are coming off a brutal home loss against the Dallas Cowboys. The Saints are coming off a phenomenal home win over the Philadelphia Eagles. The Saints are just on a roll right now and I don't see them losing here although I can see their rivals hang around.
Prediction: New Orleans 47, Atlanta 33.

Sunday, November 25th
Jacksonville Jaguars (3-7) at Buffalo Bills (3-7)- 1:00, CBS: The Jags are coming off a brutal home loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers in which they blew a 16-0 lead in. The Bills are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they killed the Jets in East Rutherford. Blake Bortles is currently playing himself out of a starting job and I think Josh Allen will come back from injury and show some flashes and lead the Bills to another win.
Prediction: Buffalo 20, Jacksonville 16.

Cleveland Browns (3-6-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (5-5)- 1:00, CBS: The Browns are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they won at home against the Falcons. The Bengals are coming off a tough divisional road loss in Baltimore against the Ravens. This is a must win for Marvin Lewis and the Bengals to keep themselves in the AFC picture and they'll get the job done against a team they've owned the last few seasons.
Prediction: Cincinnati 30, Cleveland 23.

New England Patriots (7-3) at New York Jets (3-7)- 1:00, CBS: The Pats are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they lost badly in Tennessee against the Titans. The Jets are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they got spanked at home against the subpar Buffalo Bills. The Pats badly need this game to keep themselves in play for a first round bye and I believe they'll get it done on the road.
Prediction: New England 30, NY Jets 20.

New York Giants (3-7) at Philadelphia Eagles (4-6)- 1:00, FOX: The Giants are coming off a home win over the lowly Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Eagles are coming off a disastrous road loss in New Orleans against the Saints. This has all the makings of the Eagles rebounding against their division rival, especially after the fact the Giants and their fans think they can win this week and conceivably get back into the NFC East picture.
Prediction: Philadelphia 31, NY Giants 27.

San Francisco 49ers (2-8) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-7)- 1:00, FOX: The 49ers are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they lost at home against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football. The Buccaneers are coming off a road loss in East Rutherford against that same Giants team. This was a tough call, but give me Jameis Winston and the Bucs in a high scoring affair.
Prediction: Tampa Bay 37, San Francisco 34.

Seattle Seahawks (5-5) at Carolina Panthers (6-4)- 1:00, FOX: The Seahawks are coming off a huge Thursday night home win over the Green Bay Packers. The Panthers are coming off a bad road loss in Detroit against the Lions. This is the best of the early slate and I like the Panthers to rebound here at home in a close one.
Prediction: Carolina 27, Seattle 24.

Oakland Raiders (2-8) at Baltimore Ravens (5-5)- 1:00, CBS: The Raiders are coming off a road win in Glendale against the Cardinals. The Ravens are coming off a huge divisional home win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Lamar Jackson is starting again and I think he leads the Ravens to another win in which they absolutely need.
Prediction: Baltimore 24, Oakland 17.

Arizona Cardinals (2-8) at Los Angeles Chargers (7-3)- 4:05, FOX: The Cardinals are coming off a bad home loss against the Oakland Raiders. The Chargers are coming off a terrible divisional home loss against the Denver Broncos. The Chargers are just poised to bounce back here at home against arguably the worst team in the league and this is my lock of the week.
Prediction: LA Chargers 37, Arizona 16.

Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2-1) at Denver Broncos (4-6)- 4:25, CBS: The Steelers are coming off a huge comeback road win in Jacksonville against the Jaguars. The Broncos are coming off a huge divisional road win in Los Angeles against the Chargers. This has all the makings of the Broncos pulling off the home upset to snap the Steelers win streak. I'm rolling with the home team led by their great pass rush.
Prediction: Denver 23, Pittsburgh 20.

Miami Dolphins (5-5) at Indianapolis Colts (5-5)- 4:25, CBS: The Dolphins are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they lost in Green Bay against the Packers. The Colts are coming off a dominant divisional home win over the Tennessee Titans. The Colts have been so good lately, especially at home as Andrew Luck is getting better by the week and actually has a great offensive line behind him. Colts win big again.
Prediction: Indianapolis 37, Miami 20.

Green Bay Packers (4-5-1) at Minnesota Vikings (5-4-1)- 8:20, NBC: This is a huge game for both teams as these two met in week two and tied. The Packers are coming off a brutal Thursday night road loss in Seattle against the Seahawks. The Vikings are coming off a disappointing Sunday night divisional road loss in Chicago against the Bears. I think this game is close yet again, but the difference here is the Vikings pass rush in their home building. Vikings get the big win and send Aaron Rodgers a potential death blow to his team.
Prediction: Minnesota 27, Green Bay 24.

Monday, November 26th
Tennessee Titans (5-5) at Houston Texans (7-3)- 8:15, ESPN: The Titans are coming off a bad divisional road loss in Indianapolis against the Colts. The Texans are coming off yet another close road win, this time in Landover against the Redskins. The Texans are a team that's getting lucky break after lucky break and they get another one with Marcus Mariota potentially being injured. That said, they get the win regardless of who quarterbacks the Titans.
Prediction: Houston 23, Tennessee 16.

2018 College Football Week 13: Picks

Here are my picks for week thirteen of the 2018 College Football season.

Tuesday, November 20th
Ball State (4-7; 3-4) at Miami-Ohio (5-6; 5-2)- 7:00, ESPN+
Pick: Miami-Ohio

Northern Illinois (7-4; 6-1) at Western Michigan (6-5; 4-3)- 7:00, ESPNU
Pick: Northern Illinois

Thursday, November 22nd
Colorado State (3-8; 2-5) at Air Force (4-7; 2-5)- 3:30, CBSSN
Pick: Air Force

Mississippi State (7-4; 3-4) at Ole Miss (5-6; 1-6)- 7:30, ESPN: Don't be shocked if this is closer than the experts think.
Pick: Mississippi State

Friday, November 23rd
Texas (8-3; 6-2) at Kansas (3-8; 1-7)- 12:00, FS1
Pick: Texas

Nebraska (4-7; 3-5) at Iowa (7-4; 4-4)- 12:00, FOX
Pick: Iowa

Akron (4-6; 2-5) at Ohio (7-4; 5-2)- 12:00, CBSSN
Pick: Ohio

Buffalo (9-2; 6-1) at Bowling Green (3-8; 2-5)- 12:00, ESPNU
Pick: Buffalo

Central Michigan (1-10; 0-7) at Toledo (6-5; 4-3)- 12:00, ESPN3
Pick: Toledo

Eastern Michigan (6-5; 4-3) at Kent State (2-9; 1-6)- 12:00, ESPN3
Pick: Eastern Michigan

Houston (8-3; 5-2) at Memphis (7-4; 4-3)- 12:00, ABC: Fun game as the winner of this game will be heading to the AAC title game. Give me the Tigers at home to win and get a second chance at UCF.
Pick: Memphis

Arkansas (2-9; 0-7) at Missouri (7-4; 3-4)- 2:30, CBS
Pick: Missouri

Coastal Carolina (5-6; 2-5) at South Alabama (2-9; 1-6)- 3:00, ESPN+

East Carolina (3-7; 1-6) at Cincinnati (9-2; 5-2)- 3:30, CBSSN
Pick: Cincinnati

Virginia (7-4; 4-3) at Virginia Tech (4-6; 3-4)- 3:30, ABC: Hokies badly need this game or else they won't be bowl eligible.
Pick: Virginia Tech

Oregon (7-4; 4-4) at Oregon State (2-9; 1-7)- 4:00, FS1
Pick: Oregon

UCF (10-0; 7-0) at South Florida (7-4; 3-4)- 4:15, ESPN: This will be a closer game than expected, although the Knights will remain unbeaten.
Pick: UCF

(6) Oklahoma (10-1; 7-1) at (13) West Virginia (8-2; 6-2)- 8:00, ESPN: Biggest game of the day although it would have been bigger if the Mountaineers hung on against the Cowboys last week. The winner of this game goes to the Big-12 title game and I think that will be the Sooners, who have owned the Mountaineers of late, although this will be a close one with a lot of points.
Pick: Oklahoma

(16) Washington (8-3; 6-2) at (8) Washington State (10-1; 7-1)- 8:30, FOX: This is the biggest Apple Cup game in years. I can see the Huskies stealing the North division here, but with the game being in Pullman on a Friday night, I don't see the magic of the Cougars stopping here.
Pick: Washington State

Saturday, November 24th
(4) Michigan (10-1; 8-0) at (10) Ohio State (10-1; 7-1)- 12:00, FOX: This is a humongous game. It's not a guarantee that the Buckeyes move into the top four let alone the top six in the rankings. That said the Wolverines are the better team and I think they get a signature win in Columbus.
Pick: Michigan

Georgia Tech (7-4; 5-3) at (5) Georgia (10-1; 7-1)- 12:00, SECN
Pick: Georgia

(11) Florida (8-3; 5-3) at Florida State (5-6; 3-5)- 12:00, ABC: The Seminoles have had a very disappointing season, but can salvage some of it here with a win to play in a bowl. I like them here to upset an overrated Gators team.
Pick: Florida State

(20) Syracuse (8-3; 5-2) at Boston College (7-4; 4-3)- 12:00, ESPN
Pick: Boston College

Marshall (7-3; 5-2) at FIU (8-3; 6-1) 12:00
Pick: FIU

WKU (2-9; 1-6) at Louisiana Tech (7-4; 5-2) 12:00
Pick: Louisiana Tech

Baylor (5-6; 3-5) vs Texas Tech (5-6; 3-5)- 12:00, FS1: Winner of this game goes go a bowl game and I say the Red Raiders take it in Arlington to perhaps save Kliff Kingsbury's job.
Pick: Texas Tech

Purdue (5-6; 4-4) at Indiana (5-6; 2-6)- 12:00, ESPN2: This has all the makings of the Hosiers losing a close heartbreaker. The Boiler Makers go out and get a win for Jeff Brohm in what is most likely his final game as coach to become bowl eligible.
Pick: Purdue

Navy (3-8; 2-5) at Tulane (5-6; 4-3)- 12:00, ESPNU
Pick: Tulane

NC State (7-3; 4-3) at North Carolina (2-8; 1-6)- 12:20, ACCN

Pick: Liberty

Georgia Southern (8-3; 5-2) at Georgia State (2-9; 1-6)- 2:00, ESPN+
Pick: Georgia Southern

Wyoming (5-6; 3-4) at New Mexico (3-8; 1-6)- 2:30
Pick: New Mexico

Troy (9-2; 7-0) at Appalachian State (8-2; 6-1)- 2:30, ESPN+: Huge game in the Sun Belt in which the winner goes to the Sun Belt title game. The Trojans are unbeaten in conference play, but I think it ends here.
Pick: Appalachian State

Southern Miss (5-5; 4-3) at UTEP (1-10; 1-6)- 3:00, ESPN+
Pick: Southern Miss

Louisiana (6-5; 4-3) at UL Monroe (6-5; 4-3)- 3:00, ESPN+

Pick: Middle Tennessee

Stanford (6-4; 4-3) at UCLA (3-8; 3-4)- 3:00, Pac-12N
Pick: UCLA

Auburn (7-4; 3-4) at (1) Alabama (11-0; 7-0)- 3:30, CBS: The Tide get revenge from the Tigers this time around after they handed the reigning champs their only loss last year.
Pick: Alabama

Maryland (5-6; 3-5) at (12) Penn State (8-3; 5-3)- 3:30, ABC
Pick: Penn State

Illinois (4-7; 2-6) at (19) Northwestern (7-4; 7-1)- 3:30, BTN
Pick: Northwestern

(24) Pittsburgh (7-4; 6-1) at Miami (6-5; 3-4)- 3:30, ESPN: All signs point to the Canes winning this game. Something tells me that the Panthers win, though.
Pick: Pittsburgh

Arizona State (6-5; 4-4) at Arizona (5-6; 4-4)- 3:30, FS1: The Wildcats need this game to become bowl eligible and I think they get it done at home.
Pick: Arizona

Minnesota (5-6; 2-6) at Wisconsin (7-4; 5-3)- 3:30, ESPN2
Pick: Wisconsin

SMU (5-6; 4-3) at Tulsa (2-9; 1-6)- 3:30, CBSSN
Pick: SMU

Temple (7-4; 6-1) at Connecticut (1-10; 0-7)- 3:30, ESPNU
Pick: Temple

Arkansas State (7-4; 4-3) at Texas State (3-8; 1-6)- 4:00, ESPN3
Pick: Arkansas State

Rutgers (1-10; 0-8) at Michigan State (6-5; 4-4)- 4:00, FOX

Pick: North Texas

(7) LSU (9-2; 5-2) at (22) Texas A&M (7-4; 4-3)- 7:30, SECN
Pick: LSU

(3) Notre Dame (11-0) at USC (5-6; 4-5)- 8:00, ABC: Most fascinating game of Saturday night. All the pressure on the Irish to essentially clinch their birth in the College Football Playoff. I say Ian Booke and Dexter Williams lead the way like they have for most of the season.
Pick: Notre Dame

Oklahoma State (6-5; 3-5) at TCU (5-6; 3-5)- 8:00, FOX: The Horn Frogs need this one to become bowl eligible and I believe they'll get it.
Pick: TCU

Pick: Nevada

BYU (6-5) at Utah (8-3; 6-3)- 10:00, FS1
Pick: Utah

Utah State (10-1; 7-0) at Boise State (9-2; 6-1)- 10:15, ESPN: Huge game in the Mountain West in which the winner goes to the conference title game. The Aggies have been the better team all season long, but I can't get against the Broncos on the smurf turf.
Pick: Boise State

Hawaii (7-5; 4-3) at San Diego State (7-4; 4-3)- 10:30, ESPNU
Pick: San Diego State

2018 NFL Week 11: Picks

Here are my picks for week eleven of the 2018 NFL season.

Thursday, November 15th
Green Bay Packers (4-4-1) vs Seattle Seahawks (4-5)- 8:20, FOX/NFLN: The Packers are coming off a much needed home win over the Miami Dolphins. The Seahawks are coming off a tough divisional road loss in Los Angeles against the Rams. The Seahawks need this game badly or else they can start playing out the string so give me them to get the home win.
Prediction: Seattle 27, Green Bay 24.

Sunday, November 18th
Dallas Cowboys (4-5) at Atlanta Falcons (4-5)- 1:00, FOX: This is a loser leaves town match. The Cowboys are coming off a huge Sunday night divisional road win in Philadelphia against the Eagles. The Falcons are coming off a dismal road loss in Cleveland against the Browns. The Falcons survive this one led by Matt Ryan and that offense along with a few big stops on defense.
Prediction: Atlanta 27, Dallas 20.

Carolina Panthers (6-3) at Detroit Lions (3-6)- 1:00, FOX: The Panthers are coming off a disastrous Thursday night road loss in Pittsburgh against the Steelers. The Lions are coming off a divisional road loss in Chicago against the Bears. The Panthers should bounce back from that Pittsburgh debacle against an inferior opponent and Cam Newton usually succeeds indoors.
Prediction: Carolina 33, Detroit 20.

Tennessee Titans (5-4) at Indianapolis Colts (4-5)- 1:00, CBS: Big divisional game here. The Titans are coming off a big time win at home against the New England Patriots. The Colts are coming off a big home divisional win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts need this game badly to keep themselves alive in the AFC playoff picture and I believe they'll pull off another divisional home win.
Prediction: Indianapolis 27, Tennessee 23.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-6) at New York Giants (2-7)- 1:00, FOX: The Bucs are coming off a bad home loss against the Washington Redskins. The Giants are coming off a Monday night road win in Santa Clara against the 49ers. The Giants looked component on offense last week against a bad defense and that will be the same situation here against a bad Bucs defense. Saquon Barkley and Odell Beckham Jr have big games.
Prediction: NY Giants 31, Tampa Bay 24.

Houston Texans (6-3) at Washington Redskins (6-3)- 1:00, CBS: The Texans are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they won in Denver against the Broncos courtesy of a missed field goal by Brandon McManus which would have snapped the Texans' win streak. The Redskins are coming off a road win in Tampa Bay against the Buccaneers. This is a big game for both these teams and I like the Redskins and Alex Smith to get the job done to snap the Texans win streak.
Prediction: Washington 24, Houston 20.

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2-1) at Jacksonville Jaguars (3-6)- 1:00, CBS: The Steelers are coming off a big time Thursday night home win over the Carolina Panthers. The Jaguars are coming off a divisional road loss in Indianapolis against the Colts. The Steelers have been rolling and they have redemption on their minds here as they remember clearly that the Jags were the ones that knocked them out of the playoffs a season ago in the division round. Steelers cruise here.
Prediction: Pittsburgh 37, Jacksonville 23.

Cincinnati Bengals (5-4) at Baltimore Ravens (4-5)- 1:00, CBS: Huge divisional game. The Bengals are coming off a disastrous home loss against the New Orleans Saints. The Ravens are coming off their bye and two weeks ago, they lost a divisional home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With uncertainty of who will start at quarterback with Joe Flacco hurt and Lamar Jackson dealing with an illness, give me the Bengals with a nice bounce back win.
Prediction: Cincinnati 27, Baltimore 23.

Oakland Raiders (1-8) at Arizona Cardinals (2-7)- 4:05, CBS: This is an awful football game. The Raiders are coming off a divisional home loss against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Cardinals are coming off a road loss in Kansas City against the Chiefs in which they cornered the big point spread. I like the Cards to get the win at home.
Prediction: Arizona 24, Oakland 17.

Denver Broncos (3-6) at Los Angeles Chargers (7-2)- 4:05, CBS: The Broncos are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they lost at home against the Houston Texans. The Chargers are coming off a divisional road win in Oakland against the Raiders. The Chargers and Philip Rivers are on a roll right now and I believe they'll win big here.
Prediction: LA Chargers 34, Denver 20.

Philadelphia Eagles (4-5) at New Orleans Saints (8-1)- 4:25, FOX: The Eagles are coming off a very disappointing Sunday night divisional home loss against the Dallas Cowboys. The Saints are coming off a dominant road win in Cincinnati against the Bengals. The Saints win streak will end at some point, but not this week. Saints win big at home.
Prediction: New Orleans 37, Philadelphia 26.

Minnesota Vikings (5-3-1) at Chicago Bears (6-3)- 8:20, NBC: Huge game here. The Vikings are coming off their bye and two weeks ago they won at home against the Detroit Lions. The Bears are coming off a divisional home win over those same Detroit Lions. Tough call, but give me the Bears at home in a close one.
Prediction: Chicago 23, Minnesota 20.

Monday, November 19th
Kansas City Chiefs (9-1) at Los Angeles Rams (9-1)- 8:15, ESPN: Too bad the game got moved to LA due to the poor field conditions in Mexico City. The Chiefs are coming off a home win over the Arizona Cardinals. The Rams are coming off a divisional home win over the Seattle Seahawks. Mexico City or LA, Rams win the game.
Prediction: LA Rams 38, Kansas City 31.

Idaho (4-6; 3-5) at Florida (7-3; 3-3)- 12:00, ESPNU
Pick: Florida

Arkansas (2-8; 0-6) at Mississippi State (6-4; 2-4)- 12:00, ESPN
Pick: Mississippi State

Michigan State (6-4; 4-3) at Nebraska (3-7; 2-5)- 12:00, FOX: Tough call here. Sparty has avoided bad trap losses this season for the most part. Call me crazy, but I see the Huskers pulling this out.
Pick: Nebraska

Penn State (7-3; 4-3) at Rutgers (1-9; 0-7)- 12:00, BTN
Pick: Penn State

South Florida (7-3; 3-3) at Temple (6-4; 5-1)- 12:00, ESPNEWS
Pick: Temple

Northwestern (6-4; 6-1) at Minnesota (5-5; 2-5)- 12:00, BTN: The Wildcats know they're going to the Big-10 title game. Gophers need this game to become bowl eligible and they'll win it at home.
Pick: Minnesota

Colgate (9-0; 6-0) at Army (8-2)- 12:00, CBSSN
Pick: Army

TCU (4-6; 2-5) at Baylor (5-5; 3-4)- 12:00, FS1
Pick: Baylor

Pittsburgh (6-4; 5-1) at Wake Forest (5-5; 2-4)- 12:00, ACCN: The Demon Decons need this game to become bowl eligible and this would be a spot I can see the Panthers looking ahead.
Pick: Wake Forest

NC State (6-3; 3-3) at Louisville (2-8; 0-7)- 12:00, ACCN
Pick: NC State

Utah (7-3; 5-3) at Colorado (5-5; 2-5)- 1:30, Pac-12N: The Buffaloes surprisingly fired Mike McIntyre and I can totally see them being distracted due to that.
Pick: Utah

Utah State (9-1; 6-0) at Colorado State (3-7; 2-4)- 2:00
Pick: Utah State

FIU (7-3; 5-1) at Charlotte (4-6; 3-3)- 2:00
Pick: FIU

VMI (1-9; 0-8) at Old Dominion (3-7; 2-5)- 2:00
Pick: Old Dominion

Syracuse (8-2; 5-2) vs Notre Dame (10-0)- 2:30, NBC: This game is being played at Yankee Stadium, which will bring a lot of Orange fans to the game. The Irish will certainly have fans there too, but I expect this game to be closer than expected early on and for the Irish to pull away late.
Pick: Notre Dame

UTSA (3-7; 2-4) at Marshall (6-3; 4-2)- 2:30
Pick: Marshall

Georgia State (2-8; 1-5) at Appalachian State (7-2; 5-1)- 2:30
Pick: Appalachian State

Western Carolina (3-7; 1-7) at North Carolina (1-8; 1-6)- 3:00, ACCN
Pick: North Carolina

UL Monroe (6-4; 4-2) at Arkansas State (6-4; 3-3)- 3:00
Pick: Arkansas State

West Virginia (8-1; 6-1) at Oklahoma State (5-5; 2-5)- 3:30, ABC: Boy this is one of the more fascinating games of the weekend. The Mountaineers are in the playoff hunt and this is a logical trap spot with the Sooners looming next week in Morgantown. Meanwhile, the Cowboys nearly picked off the Sooners in Norman so it makes sense for them to have a letdown. Nothing would surprise me here. Give me Mike Gundy to actually put a damp in a conference opponents playoff hopes, unlike last week.
Pick: Oklahoma State

Boston College (7-3; 4-2) at Florida State (4-6; 2-5)- 3:30, ESPN2: This is a logical spot for the a Eagles to have a hangover after playing against Clemson, but the Seminoles are a hot mess. Give me the Eagles.
Pick: Boston College

Iowa (6-4; 3-4) at Illinois (4-6; 2-5)- 3:30, BTN
Pick: Iowa

Tulsa (2-8; 1-5) at Navy (2-8; 1-5)- 3:30, CBSSN

Pick: Purdue

Bowling Green (2-8; 1-5) at Akron (4-5; 2-4)- 3:30, ESPN3
Pick: Akron

Virginia (7-3; 4-2) at Georgia Tech (6-4; 4-3)- 3:30, ACCN
Pick: Georgia Tech

Miami (5-5; 2-4) at Virginia Tech (4-5; 3-3)- 3:30, ESPN: Battle of the Coastal Division flops goes to the Hokies at home.
Pick: Virginia Tech

Pick: Tennessee

USC (5-5; 4-4) at UCLA (2-8; 2-5)- 3:30, FOX: Clay Helton definitely is gone if the Trojans lose this one. I'm gonna say they get the win over Chip Kelly's squad to become bowl eligible although there's look ahead ability with Notre Dame looming next week.
Pick: USC

Indiana (5-5; 2-5) at Michigan (9-1; 7-0)- 3:30, FS1
Pick: Michigan

Duke (7-3; 3-3) at Clemson (10-0; 7-0)- 7:00, ESPN: Part of me thinks that the Blue Devils can hang around, but Trevor Lawrence and the Tigers offense has been on fire of late. Tigers big.
