2018 Big Ten Tournament Predictions

Here are my predictions for the 2018 Big Ten tournament. The tournament will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

First Round
2/28- (13) Illinois (14-17; 4-14) vs (12) Iowa (13-18; 4-14)- 5:30, BTN: Both of these teams have been disappointing relative to expectations, but give me the Hawkeyes here in a close one.
Prediction: Iowa

2/28- (14) Rutgers (13-18; 3-15) vs (11) Minnesota (15-16; 4-14)- 8:00, BTN: The Golden Gophers have been such a massive disappointment this season, but I think they take this game over a Scarlet Knights team that's been competitive throughout the season.
Prediction: Minnesota

Second Round
3/1- (9) Wisconsin (14-17; 7-11) vs (8) Maryland (19-12; 8-10)- 12:00, BTN: The Terps can sneak into the Big Dance with a win here, but I think Ian Happ and the Badgers pull off a mild upset to crush the Terps at-large hopes.
Prediction: Wisconsin 

3/1- (12) Iowa vs (5) Michigan (24-7; 13-5)- 2:30, BTN
Prediction: Michigan

3/1- (10) Northwestern (15-16; 6-12) vs (7) Penn State (19-12; 9-9)- 6:30, BTN: The Nittany Lions absolutely have to have this win if they want to get in the Big Dance and I say they get it over a disappointing Wildcats team.
Prediction: Penn State

3/1- (11) Minnesota vs (6) Indiana (16-14; 9-9)- 9:00, BTN: Both of these teams have failed to live upto expectations and in particular the Gophers. I think Archie Miller's squad gets a nice win here.
Prediction: Indiana

Quarterfinals
3/2- (9) Wisconsin vs (1) Michigan State (28-3; 16-2)- 12:00, BTN: Don't be shocked if the Badgers give the Spartans a game.
Prediction: Michigan State

3/2- (5) Michigan vs (4) Nebraska (22-9; 13-5)- 2:30, BTN: The Cornhuskers have to win this game if they want an at-large bid, but the Spartans are the better team and will get the win.
Prediction: Michigan

3/2- (7) Penn State vs (2) Ohio State (24-7; 15-3)- 6:30, BTN: The Nittany Lions swept the Buckeyes in the regular season, but the Buckeyes will get this game and the Lions will sweat it out on Selection Sunday.
Prediction: Ohio State

3/2- (6) Indiana vs (3) Purdue (26-5; 15-3)- 9:00, BTN: Good instate rivalry here, but the Boilermakers are just by far better and will win by double digits.
Prediction: Purdue

Semifinals
3/3- (5) Michigan vs (1) Michigan State- 2:00, CBS: This should be an outstanding semifinal game between these in-state rivals. Give me Miles Bridges and the Spartans in a close one.
Prediction: Michigan State

3/3- (3) Purdue vs (2) Ohio State- 4:30, CBS: This should be a great game between these two very good teams. Give me Conference Player of the Year Kieta Bates-Diop and the Buckeyes in a close game to advance.
Prediction: Ohio State

Championship
3/4- (2) Ohio State vs (1) Michigan State- 4:30, CBS: This game is going to be outstanding. The Spartans could very well be playing for the number one overall seed in the Big Dance at this point and I like them in a very close game over an improved Buckeyes team.
Prediction: Michigan State
