2019-20 NHL Award Predictions

Here are my award predictions for the 2019-20 NHL Season.

Hart Trophy: Nathan MacKinnon, Colorado Avalanche: MacKinnon is certainly among the five best players in this sport and it helps that he has great linemates in Mikko Rantenen and Gabriel Landeskog. It also helps that this MacKinnon is the best player on a team that can win the Cup.
Runner up: Nikita Kucherov, Tampa Bay Lightning

Vezina Trophy: Carter Hart, Philadelphia Flyers: Why not take a flyer somewhere? Hart is someone that came up in the middle of last season and showed flashes of being a franchise goaltender. An improved defense due to guys making steps forward will certainly help.
Runner up: Andre Vasilevskiy, Tampa Bay Lightning

Norris Trophy: Victor Hedman, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: This feels like a safe pick here despite the fact he's had some injuries over the last few years. Hedman has been one of the best defensemen in the league over the past five seasons and I think he is in for another great season.
Runner up: Seth Jones, Columbus Blue Jackets

Calder Trophy: Kaapo Kakko, New York Rangers: There are a few realistic options for this award. Kakko is in a good position to succeed this season playing with Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad on the top line and he sounds like a kid that's poised to have a monster season.
Runner up: Jack Hughes, New Jersey Devils

Jack Adams Trophy: Alain Vigneault, Philadelphia Flyers: Vigneault is somebody that is a good head coach and had success at a few stops. I think this team has a ton of talented forwards, defensemen with a ton of potential, and a goalie that's poised to breakout.
Runner up: David Quinn, New York Rangers

Selke Trophy: Patrice Bergeron, Boston Bruins: This is normally an annual pencil in when I do my preseason awards. Bergeron is one of the best defensive forwards in the league and he should win this award.
Runner up: Jonathan Toews, Chicago Blackhawks
