2016 College Football National Title Game Prediction

The second College Football National Title game in the College Football Playoff system is right around the corner! It will be an fun game between Clemson and Alabama and here's what I think will happen.

(1) Clemson Tigers (14-0; 8-0) vs (2) Alabama Crimson Tide (13-1; 7-1)- 8:30, ESPN: I believe this is going to be one hell of a game. The Tigers are a team that can flat out score and that's led by quarterback DeShaun Watson. The Tiger's defense was solid in the Orange Bowl against an Oklahoma team who had a pretty good offense going into that game. The Crimson Tide are a team that is outstanding on defense and has many projected first round picks for the upcoming NFL draft on their pass rush. The Tide's offense was pretty good in the Cotton Bowl against Michigan State, who had a pretty good defense going into that game. To me, this game comes down to whether the Clemson run defense can stop Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry or not. Henry will be the difference here as the Alabama Crimson Tide will win their fourth National Championship under Nick Saban in a close game.

Prediction: Alabama 27, Clemson 21.
