2018 WNBA Playoffs: Semifinals Predictions

Here are my predictions for the Semifinals of the 2018 WNBA Playoffs, which are now best of five series's.

(5) Phoenix Mercury vs (1) Seattle Storm: This should be a fun series between these two conference foes. The Mercury defeated the Wings in the First Round and the Sun in the Second Round. The Storm earned home court advantage throughout the Playoffs with the best record in the league. Stars are abound in this series with Diana Turasi, Brittney Griner, and DeWanna Bonner for the Mercury and league MVP Breanna Stewart, Sue Bird, Natasha Howard, and Jewell Loyd for the Storm. This will be a great series and I like the Storm and their depth to advance to the WNBA Finals.
Prediction: Storm in five games.

(3) Washington Mystics vs (2) Atlanta Dream: This should be a fun series between these conference foes. The Mystics beat the Sparks convincingly in the Second Round. The Dream had the second best record in the league that brought them here. The Mystics have a lot of talent with Elene Delle-Donne and Kristi Tolliver leading the way. The Dream have a nice big three with Angel McCoughtry, Tiffany Hayes, and Jessica Breland. This is a hard call but I like Delle Donne and the Mystics to pull off a minor upset to reach the WNBA Finals.
Prediction: Mystics in four games.
