2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Final Prediction

We have an interesting Stanley Cup Final here. The St. Louis Blues are here for the first time since 1970 and ironically enough they lost to the team that they're facing in this Stanley Cup Final in the Boston Bruins. Will history repeat itself or will the Blues win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history?

(A2) Boston Bruins vs (C3) St. Louis Blues: The Bruins offense has been awesome throughout the postseason led by Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron, David Pasternak, Charlie Coyle, and David Krejci. Their defense is deep led by Torey Krug, Charlie McAvoy, Brandon Carlo, Zdeno Chara, and John Moore. Tukka Rask has to be the favorite to win the Conn Smythe Trophy at this point with his stellar postseason play. The Blues offense has been great too in the postseason led by Vladimir Tarasenko, Ryan O'Reilly, Brayden Schenn, Alex Steen, and David Perron. Their defense has been awesome too led by Alex Pietrangelo, Jay Boumeester, Vince Dunn, and Colton Parayko. Jordan Binnington for the most part has been great in these playoffs with the exception of a few shaky periods. Special teams throughout the postseason have been good for both teams. That said, the Blues have been on a roll since January led by a hot goalie in Binngington (although Rask has been hot too) and with a few magic moments throughout the playoffs, this just feels like their year as the Blues will win their first championship in franchise history as the city will embrace it and sing this song.

Prediction: Blues in six games.

Conn Smythe Trophy Winner: Jordan Binnington
