2017 World Series Prediction

Here is my prediction for the 2017 World Series.

(A2) Houston Astros vs (N1) Los Angeles Dodgers: There was a point in this season when most people thought this was going to be the matchup. And than the Indians went on an incredible run and the Dodgers had an awful September and than people through an Indians/Cubs rematch was a possibility, but nope, we have these two great teams. The Astros are coming off a tremendous seven game series win over the upstart New York Yankees. The Dodgers are coming off an impressive five game series win over the reigning World Series champion Chicago Cubs. The Astros have a very good offense led by AL MVP favorite Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, and George Springer. The Yankees pitching did a tremendous job shutting down the Astros offense in the previous round although the Astros offense came alive in the final two games. The Dodgers offense is really good too led by NL Rookie of the Year favorite Cody Bellinger, Justin Turner, and Corey Seager, who is returning from a back injury. Dallas Keuchel and Justin Verlander lead the way for the Astros rotation and the likes of Charlie Morton and Lance McCullers Jr must step up like they did in Game 7. Clayton Kershaw, Yu Darvish, Rich Hill, and Alex Wood lead the way for the Dodgers great rotation. The Astros bullpen was problematic against the Yankees and guys like Ken Giles, Chris Divenski, Brad Peacock, and Will Harris have to step up. Don't rule out McCullers or one of the other starters coming out of the pen later on in the series if necessary. The Dodgers bullpen is very good led by Kenley Jansen, Tony Cingrani, Tony Watson, Ross Stripling, Josh Fields, and converted starter Kenta Maeda. That said, the Dodgers are flat out all around the better team and will win their first World Series since 1988.

Prediction: Dogders in six games

World Series MVP: Clayton Kershaw
