2016-17 NBA Awards Predictions

Here are my award predictions for the 2016-17 NBA Season.

MVP: Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder: Westbrook is my choice here because I believe he'll be super motivated after the departure of Kevin Durant. You'll see a galore of triple-doubles and he'll carry his team to 50 wins.
Runner up: LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers

Defensive Player of the Year: Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio Spurs: It's plain and simple. Leonard is the leagues best defender and he can guard all positions and he'll win this award for a third straight season.
Runner up: Draymond Green, Golden State Warriors

Sixth Man of the Year: Jamal Crawford, Los Angeles Clippers: Crawford is someone that has been so valuable to the Clippers the last few seasons off the bench. I believe he'll win this award for the third time in four years.
Runner up: Andre Igoudala, Golden State Warriors

Most Improved Player: Andrew Wiggins, Minnesota Timberwolves: Wiggins has so much talent and I believe this will be the year he puts it all together. It also will help that Tom Thibodeau is his coach and that there is a transcendent talent on his team in Karl-Anthony Towns.
Runner up: Kristaps Porzingis, New York Knicks

Rookie of the Year: Brandon Ingram, Los Angeles Lakers: The easy choice would have been Ben Simmons had he not broken his foot. But, I'm going to roll with Ingram, who has a chance to be special. I believe he'll be awesome for Luke Walton and the Lakers.
Runner up: Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers

Coach of the Year: Tom Thibodeau, Minnesota Timberwolves: Thibodeau has inherited a team that's clearly going to be among the leagues best within the next few years. He'll make a humongous impact and will get his team to the playoffs in his first season in Minnesota.
Runner up: Brad Stevens, Boston Celtics

Executive of the Year: Bob Myers, Golden State Warriors: Myers added Kevin Durant to the leagues best team and he'll get credit for that. He also added Zaza Pachullia, who will be a fine replacement for Andrew Bogut and David West, who will be a key bench player for them.
Runner up: Danny Ainge, Boston Celtics
