2016 MLB Postseason: World Series Prediction

Here is my prediction for the 2016 World Series.

(N1) Chicago Cubs vs (A2) Cleveland Indians: This series is going to be very fascinated by all angles. Both teams are trying to slay the dragon after long championship droughts. One of them will be broken and the other one will have to wait. The Cubs faced some adversity against the Los Angeles Dodgers as they won the NLCS in six games. The Indians have been terrific all playoffs long and it took them five games to close out the Toronto Blue Jays. Both teams have hot offenses coming into the Fall Classic and the storyline from an offensive standpoint is the Cubs young slugger Kyle Schwarber will make his return after tearing his ACL in the first week of the season. Both teams starting pitching have been terrific of late too and the big storyline here from a starting pitching standpoint is that Danny Salzar will make his return to the Indians rotation after suffering an elbow injury. Both teams bullpens have been outstanding as well and the funky storyline here is that both teams best relievers in Chicago's Aroldis Chapman and Cleveland's Andrew Miller were teammates on the New York Yankees before they were both traded to their respective current teams. With all the fun surrounding this series, give me the better overall team and that is the Cubs, who will finally break their long championship drought as I predicted before the season. I'm sure the Windy City will be blasting this tune as soon as the final out is recorded.

Prediction: Cubs in six games

World Series MVP: Kris Bryant
