2014 MLB League Championship Series Predictions

Here are my predictions for the 2014 MLB Leagues Championship series.

American League Championship Series
(A2) Baltimore Orioles vs (A4) Kansas City Royals: This is a very intriguing series considering that both teams swept their opponents and were underdogs in their previous series's against the Los Angeles Angels and Detroit Tigers, respectively. Baltimore has the better offense with outfielders Adam Jones and Nelson Cruz running the show. Kansas City has the better pitching led by ace "Big Game" James Shields. Both teams have outstanding bullpens, so this series will prove which bullpen gets the job done. This was a tough call but with home field advantage, I like Baltimore to advance. Prediction: Baltimore in seven.

ALCS MVP Pick: Nelson Cruz

National League Championship Series
(N3) St. Louis Cardinals vs (N5) San Francisco Giants: This is a rematch of the 2012 NLCS and the teams have some old faces from then, and some different faces that weren't around two years ago. Both teams have solid offenses and both teams have great starting pitching. The bullpens are pretty much even too. This is going to be a well played series from both teams, but I think St. Louis gets revenge on San Francisco this time to advance to the World Series for the second straight year. Prediction: St. Louis in six.

NLCS MVP Pick: Matt Carpenter
