2015 College Football Week 1 Picks

Here are my picks for Week 1 of the 2015 College Football season.

Thursday, September 3rd
North Carolina at South Carolina- 6:00, ESPN: This should be a fun game to kick off the 2015 College Football season. North Carolina is looking to make some noise in the ACC and South Carolina is trying to rebound from a disappointing 2014 campaign. I like South Carolina to take this one at home.

Western Kentucky at Vanderbilt- 8:00, SECN: Western Kentucky is one of the better teams in Conference-USA while Vanderbilt projects to be one of the bottom feeders of the SEC. I like WKU to pull this one out on the road.

Michigan at Utah- 8:30, FS1: This should be a fun game to watch as Jim Harbaugh makes his Michigan coaching debut against an underrated Utah team that was quietly a very good team last season. I wouldn't be surprised about who wins this game, but I'm going to take Utah at home.

(2) TCU at Minnesota- 9:00, ESPN: This is arguably the best game on the first night of the 2015 College Football season. TCU is poised to make a run into toward the College Football Playoff this season as Minnesota looks to make noise in the Big-10 West after having a good season last year. I'm going to take TCU here on the road but an upset can't be ruled out here.

Penn State at Temple- 3:30, ESPN: This game has a chance to be one of the weekends underrated as Penn State looks to make noise in the Big-10 East and Temple looks to make noise in the AAC East. I like the Lions here on the road.

Louisville vs (6) Auburn- 3:30, CBS (Georgia Dome): This is one of the underrated match ups of the weekend as Louisville looks to make noise in the ACC and Auburn looks to make a run at the College Football Playoff. I like Auburn in this one and I think this will be a closer game than people think.

(20) Wisconsin vs (3) Alabama- 8:00, ABC (AT&T Stadium): This is perhaps the best game of the first week of the season as ESPN's College GameDay will be on site in Arlington. Wisconsin looks to make some noise in the Big-10 and Alabama is making another run at the National Championship. Expect this to be a close game with the Tribe coming out on top.

(1) Ohio State at Virginia Tech- 8:00, ESPN: This should be a fun matchup since Ohio State is poised to make a run to defeat their national title and let's not forget that Virginia Tech was the lone team to knock off the Buckeyes last season. I expect a closer game than people think and the champs to get their revenge on the Hokies when it's all said and done.
