Thursday, October 1st
Miami (FL) (3-0; 0-0) at Cincinnati (2-2; 0-2)- 7:30, ESPN: This is a nice matchup to kick off the weekend. Miami is unbeaten right one and Cincinnati has been a bit of a disappointment so far. I like the Canes to continue their success here on the road.

South Carolina (2-2; 0-2) at Missouri (3-1; 0-1)- 12:00, SECN- Get ready because this game is going to be an ugly, low scoring affair. I like Mizzou here at home, but the Cocks can't be ruled out here.

Pick: Northwestern

Iowa (4-0; 0-0) at (19) Wisconsin (3-1; 0-0)- 12:00, ESPN: This is another big game in the Big-10. Kansas wants to prove that their start is no fluke and Wisconsin wants to make a statement at home. I like the Badgers here, but the Hawkeyes will keep it closer than the experts think.
Pick: Wisconsin

Army (1-3) at Penn State (3-1; 1-0)- 12:00, ESPNU
Pick: Penn State

Kansas (0-3; 0-0) at Iowa State (1-2; 0-0)- 12:00
Pick: Iowa State

(23) West Virginia (3-0; 0-0) at (15) Oklahoma (3-0; 0-0)-12:00, FS1: This is a huge game in the Big-12. These are two great teams and the winner of this game should not surprise anyone. West Virginia has fielded the best defense in the conference so far and both teams can score. I like the 'Eers to pull off the road upset here.

Pick: Georgia Tech

(13) Alabama (3-1; 0-1) at (8) Georgia (4-0; 2-0)- 3:30, CBS: This is by far the biggest game in the SEC this weekend. This has the makings of game of the year. Alabama has had quarterback problems although their defense is improved. Georgia has been one of the best teams in the country thus far with great play all around. I like Georgia to win behind a ruckus crowd in Athens.
Pick: Georgia

(5) Baylor (3-0; 0-0) vs Texas Tech (3-1; 0-1)- 3:30, ABC/ESPN2 (AT&T Stadium): Texas Tech almost upset TCU and they deserve credit for going toe-to-toe with them. This should be a good game, but I like the Rebels to get the win in The Swamp.
Pick: Ole Miss

Arkansas (1-3; 0-1) at Tennessee (2-2; 0-1)- 7:00, ESPN2: This is a battle of two teams that have been disappointments thus far. I like the Vols in this one at home.

Pick: Kentucky

(6) Notre Dame (4-0) at (12) Clemson (3-0; 0-0)- 8:00, ABC: This is a huge game with big playoff implications. ESPN's College GameDay will be on site for this one. Notre Dame has been perhaps the most resilient team in the country and I expect them to pull out another win against a great Clemson team.
Pick: Notre Dame

UTSA (0-4; 0-0) at UTEP (2-2)- 8:00, KMYS
Pick: UTEP

(22) Michigan (3-1; 0-0) at Maryland (2-2; 0-0)- 8:00, BTN: This is another big game in the Big-10. I like Jim Harbaugh to get his first road win as Michigan coach.
Pick: Michigan

New Mexico State (0-3; 0-1) at New Mexico (2-2; 1-0)- 8:00, Root Sports
Pick: New Mexico
