2015 WNBA Conference Semi-Finals Predictions

Here are my predictions for the 2015 WNBA Conference Semi-Finals (best-of-3).

Eastern Conference
(1) New York Liberty vs (4) Washington Mystics: Tina Charles and the New York Liberty will take on the Washington Mystics in the first round. The Liberty finished with the best record in the WNBA and the Mystics are a solid team as well. I really like the Liberty in this series because they are the better team and they had the Mystics' number most of the season.
Prediction: Liberty in 2.

(2) Chicago Sky vs (3) Indiana Fever: A rematch of last seasons Eastern Conference finals is upon us with Elena Delle-Donne and the Chicago Sky will take on the Indiana Fever. These are both very good teams so this should be a good and competitive series. I like Chicago here because they have two of the leagues most prolific scorers in Delle-Donne and Cappie Pondexter and that should be the difference here.
Prediction: Sky in 3.

Western Conference
(1) Minnesota Lynx vs (4) Los Angeles Sparks: A rematch of last seasons first round matchup is what we have here and it should be a fun series. Minnesota has the best record in the Western Conference led by the reigning league MVP Maya Moore. Los Angeles finished below .500 but that was mainly because Candace Parker didn't play most of the season because she rested. When Parker came back, they surged into the playoffs. I do think this will be the best series of the first round, but I like Moore to carry the Lynx to the Conference Finals again.
Prediction: Lynx in 3.

(2) Phoenix Mercury vs (3) Tulsa Shock: Brittany Griner and the Phoenix Mercury will take on a Tulsa Shock team that lost Skylar Diggins for the season with a torn ACL. The Shock also didn't have Glory Johnson this season as she was dealing with off-court issues. The Mercury also don't have Diana Taurasi as she sat out this season to rest. To me it comes down to the fact that the Mercury are still the better team, so Griner will lead them to the Conference Finals.
Prediction: Mercury in 2.
