2015 MLB League Championship Series Predictions

Here are my predictions for the 2015 MLB League Championship Series.

American League
(A1) Kansas City Royals vs (A2) Toronto Blue Jays: Kansas City came back and won their last 2 games of their series after being down 2 games to 1. Toronto was in an 0-2 hole and came back and won the final 3 games of the series. The Blue Jays have an edge on offense with Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion, and American League MVP favorite Josh Donaldson leading the way. The Royals offense is solid with Eric Hosmer, Lorenzo Cain, and Mike Moustakas leading the way. Both teams have their aces in David Price and Johnny Cueto, respectively. The rotations outside of those guys for each team is decent with Marco Estrada, Marcus Stroman, and RA Dickey for the Jays and Edinson Volquez, Yondaro Ventura, and Kris Melden for the Royals. The Royals have the bullpen edge with Kelvin Herrera, Ryan Madson, and Wade Davis leading the way. The Jays lost Brett Cecil to injury in the Division Series and that's a big loss. Roberto Osuna and Aaron Sanchez headline the Jays bullpen. This has the makings of a classic series and I believe the Royals elite bullpen is the difference in this one as they'll move on to the World Series for the second straight year.
Prediction: Royals in seven games.

ALCS MVP Pick: Lorenzo Cain.

National League
(N3) New York Mets vs (N-WC2) Chicago Cubs: What a treat for baseball here between two teams that are here to stay for good! The Mets are coming off their series win over the Dodgers in which they won in five games. The Cubs are coming off their series win over the Cardinals in which it took them four games to win the series. The Mets offense is solid with Yoenis Cespedes, Lucas Duda, and David Wright headlining it even though Wright and Duda struggled in the Dodgers series. The Cubs offense was lights out against the Cardinals and it's headlined by Anthony Rizzo, Starlin Castro, Kris Bryant, and Kyle Schwarber. Addison Russell will be missed in this series since he's dealing with a hamstring injury, but Javier Baez has shown his potential when he replaced Russell in the lineup. The Mets rotation is the best of the four remaining teams with Matt Harvey, Jacob deGrom, Noah Syndergaard, and Steven Matz. The Cubs rotation was solid against the Cardinals for the most part with Jake Arrieta, Jon Lester, Jason Hammel, and Kyle Hendricks. The Mets bullpen was solid against the Dodgers with Bartolo Colon moving over from the rotation and the usual bullpen suspects in Tyler Clippard and Jeurys Familia. The Cubs bullpen was pretty good against the Cards with guys like Hector Rondon, Jason Motte, and Pedro Strop. This was a tough series to pick, but I like the Cubs young guns on offense to stay hot and send them to the World Series to try to end their 108-year championship drought.
Prediction: Cubs in six games.

NLCS MVP Pick: Jake Arrieta.
