2015 World Series Prediction

Here is my prediction for the 2015 World Series.

(A1) Kansas City Royals vs (N3) New York Mets: This should be a fun matchup as these two teams like to end championship droughts that last into the 1980's. The Royals have played to their identity by putting the ball in play and creating ways to manufacture runs. The Mets have road their hot pitching and the bat of NLCS MVP Daniel Murphy, who has homered in six (!!) straight games, to the Fall Classic. Both teams offenses have been solid throughout the playoffs led by the likes of Eric Hosmer, Salvador Perez, and ALCS MVP Alcedes Escobar for the Royals and Murphy, David Wright, and Yoenis Cespedes for the Mets, who hurt his shoulder in the game four clincher in Chicago. Cespedes should be ready to go for Tuesday, though. The Mets have the clear starting pitching edge, here with Matt Harvey, Jacob deGrom, Noah Syndergaard, and Steven Matz in line to start. The Royals starting pitching has been good enough for them to win two series's with Johnny Cueto, Yordano Ventura and Edinson Volquez with Chris Young giving them a good start too. The Royals have the bullpen edge with closer Wade Davis, Ryan Madson, and Kelvin Herrera. The Mets bullpen has been great too led by closer Jeurys Familia, Tyler Clippard, and Bartolo Colon. This should be a very fun and well played series, but it like the Mets to take this one behind their great pitching to win their first World Series title since 1986.
Prediction: Mets in six games.

World Series MVP PickJeurys Familia.
