2016 Big-12 Tournament Predictions

Here are my predictions for the 2016 Big-12 tournament. The tournament will be held at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

First Round
March 9th- (9) Oklahoma State (12-19; 3-15) vs (8) Kansas State (16-15; 5-13)- 7:00, ESPNU
Prediction: Kansas State

March 9th- (10) TCU (11-20; 2-16) vs (7) Texas Tech (19-11; 9-9)- 9:00, ESPNU
Prediction: Texas Tech

Quarterfinals
March 10th- (5) Baylor (21-10; 10-8) vs (4) Texas (20-11; 11-7)- 12:30, ESPN2: These two teams split the regular season meetings, but I like Baylor here better because I don't like how Texas closed their regular season.
Prediction: Baylor

March 10th- (8) Kansas State vs (1) Kansas (27-4; 15-3)- 2:30, ESPN2: This rivalry is fun but the game will not.
Prediction: Kansas

March 10th- (7) Texas Tech vs (2) West Virginia (24-7; 13-5)- 7:00, ESPNU: Texas Tech finished the season strong and will be in the field come Selection Sunday, but West Press Virginia is just a tough matchup and the better team here.
Prediction: West Virginia

March 10th- (6) Iowa State (21-10; 10-8) vs (3) Oklahoma (24-6; 12-6)- 9:00, ESPNU: This is such a fun matchup. Iowa State is very good offensively, but their lack of depth will catch up to them here against Buddy Hield and Isaiah Cousins and this Oklahoma team.
Prediction: Oklahoma

Semifinals
March 11th- (5) Baylor vs (1) Kansas- 7:00, ESPN2: This should be a fun game and I do think Baylor can win, but Kansas is just the more superior team here.
Prediction: Kansas

March 11th- (3) Oklahoma vs (2) West Virginia- 9:00, ESPN2: This game should be good too. Bob Huggins's team is always a challenge, but if they had gotten Iowa State in this game, then I'd pick the Neers to win this game and perhaps conference title game, but Oklahoma swept West Virginia in the regular season and I believe they'll knock them off a third time.
Prediction: Oklahoma

Championship
March 12th- (3) Oklahoma vs (1) Kansas- 6:00, ESPN: How about a third time for this matchup? Sign me up. Both regular season matchup were classics (with the first one being game of the year) and I believe this one has classic written all over it too. Give me Kansas here to win the conference tournament and to earn the Big Dance's number one overall seed.
Prediction: Kansas
