2019 ACC Tournament Predictions

Here are my predictions for the 2019 ACC Tournament. The tournament will be held at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.

First Round
3/12- (13) Wake Forest (11-19; 4-14) vs (12) Miami (13-17; 5-13)- 12:00, ESPN: The Demon Decons are bound to fire Danny Manning after the season and I like the Hurricanes to at least win this one.
Pick: Miami

3/12- (15) Notre Dame (13-18; 3-15) vs (10) Georgia Tech (14-17; 6-12)- 2:30, ESPN: The Irish have been perhaps the ACC's biggest disappointment this season, but I like them to pick off a Yellow Jacket team that is inferior in talent although it finished strong.
Pick: Georgia Tech

3/12- (14) Pittsburgh (13-18; 3-15) vs (11) Boston College (14-16; 5-13)- 7:00, ESPNU: Neither of these teams are great, but Ky Bomwan is a good player and I expect him to lift BC here to advance.
Pick: Boston College

Second Round
3/13- (9) Clemson (19-12; 9-9) vs (8) North Carolina State (21-10; 9-9)- 12:00, ESPN: The Tigers probably need to win this game in order to sneak in the NCAA Tournament, but I like the Wolf Pack here to advance.
Pick: North Carolina State

3/13- (12) Miami vs (5) Virginia Tech (23-7; 12-6)- 2:30, ESPN: The Hokies are probably going to be without Justin Robinson in this tournament and perhaps for the year, but I like them here to advance against a disappointing Canes team.
Pick: Virginia Tech

3/13- (15) Notre Dame vs (7) Louisville (19-12; 10-8)- 7:00, ESPN2: The Cardinals have faltered down the stretch, but they'll get the win here as a dismal Irish season comes to a halting end.
Pick: Louisville

3/13- (11) Boston College vs (6) Syracuse (19-12; 10-8)- 9:30, ESPN2: The Orange have been Jekyll and Hyde pretty much the whole season, but they should be able to beat an inferior Eagles team.
Pick: Syracuse

Quarterfinal
3/14- (8) North Carolina State vs (1) Virginia (28-2; 16-2)- 12:00, ESPN: This Cavs team is superior on both ends and will perhaps be a 1-seed regardless of how they do here in this tournament. The Wolfpack are in the dance regardless of how they do in this tournament as well.
Pick: Virginia

3/14- (5) Virginia Tech vs (4) Florida State (25-6; 13-5)- 2:30, ESPN: This is where the loss of Robinson will hurt the Hokies as an underrated Seminoles team sneaks by them here to advance led by Mfiondu Kabengele.
Pick: Florida State

3/14- (7) Louisville vs (2) North Carolina (26-5; 16-2)- 7:00, ESPN: The Cardinals knocked off the Tar Heels earlier in the season, but I think they peaked as the Tar Heels are peaking at a good time.
Pick: North Carolina

3/14- (6) Syracuse vs (3) Duke (26-5; 14-4)- 9:30, ESPN: The highly anticipated return of Zion Williamson is what everyone is waiting for. The Orange beat the Blue Devils when Zion was healthy a few months back, but I like the Blue Devils here as they make a case for a 1-seed in a close one here.
Pick: Duke

Semifinal
3/15- (4) Florida State vs (1) Virginia- 7:00, ESPN: The Seminoles are sneaky very good, but I like  the core of De'Andre Hunter, Kyle Guy, and Ty Jerome to lead the Cavs to the conference title game again.
Pick: Virginia

3/15- (3) Duke vs (2) North Carolina- 9:30, ESPN: Game. Set. Match. Part III Duke/UNC. Best rivalry in the sport. (Hopefully) for the first time featuring Zion for the whole game. Will Zion, RJ Barrett, and Cam Reddish lead the way for the Blue Devils to knock off the Tar Heels for the first time this season with a 1-seed on the line? You know what? Don't sleep on these Tar Heels led by freshmen Coby White and Nassir Little to go with their veteran core of Luke May, Cameron Johnson, and Seventh Woods to lead them to a season sweep of the Blue Devils.
Pick: North Carolina

Championship
3/16- (2) North Carolina vs (1) Virginia- 8:30, ESPN: This is going to be a great ACC title game between two teams regardless of this outcome, should be 1-seeds. The Cavs are going for the number one overall seed in the NCAA Tournament, but if they lose this game, it's Gonzaga's to lose with these Tar Heels making a compelling case. The Cavs knocked off the Tar Heels earlier in the season, but with White's emergence and their role players stepping up, give me the Tar Heels to win this tournament.
Pick: North Carolina
