2019 NCAA Tournament: First Four Predictions

Here are my predictions for the First Four round of the 2018 NCAA tournament. The games will be held at the University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio.

Tuesday, March 19th
(W16) Prairie View A&M (22-12) vs (W16) Fairleigh Dickinson (20-13)- 6:40, truTV: These two teams obviously are facing off for the rights to take on Gonzaga in the Round of 64. These two teams have won a combined nineteen straight games and the team with the longer streak is the Panthers, who will move on courtesy of DeVontae Patterson.
Pick: Prairie View A&M

(E11) Belmont (26-5) vs (E11) Temple (23-9)- 9:10, truTV: This should be a fun game between two teams that probably belong here in Dayton. Two great coaches in Rick Byrd with the Bruins and Fran Dunphy with the Owls. The Owls have good guard play and play good defense, but I like the Bruins a little more led by Dylan Windler to move on to the Round of 64.
Pick: Belmont

Wednesday, March 20th
(E16) North Carolina Central (18-15) vs (E16) North Dakota State- 6:40, truTV: These two teams weren't favored to win their conference tournaments and here they are in the Big Dance. The better team here is the Bison led by Tyson Ward and they'll advance to the Round of 64.
Pick: North Dakota State

(W11) Arizona State (21-10) vs (W11) St. John's (21-12)- 9:10, truTV: This game features two teams that have good guard play with Remy Martin for the Sun Devils and Shamorie Ponds for the Red Storm. The difference in this game is a coaching mismatch with Bobby Hurley, who thrives in big games and Chris Mullin, who has win some big games this season, but has flaws as a coach. Give me the Sun Devils to advance here.
Pick: Arizona State
